We were fortunate to ride the last tour for the season yesterday 9-30-24. The weather was very warm (80*) and the river was cool (60*). Jo was our guide and offer much comfort and security during our float. Jo was knowledgeable, funny and great with our kids! She made it memorable for us.

Eli was a great guide and he really relaxed our two girls[9 and 11] on the trip. The trip is so relaxing and yet has the right amount of splash for the kids. Thanks to Ellie too for all her help.

I can’t recommend Defiance enough. 6 out of 5 stars The scenery was gorgeous, & the river was awesome, but the best part was the team at Defiance. Every team member was fun and engaging. Our guide was Charlotte. She was the perfect guide for our little girls. She met them at their different comfort levels to make sure they had a great time. Amazing rafting trip on Class 3 rapids. We had a raft of all women and young ladies. We rocked it under rock star guide Dimetra (not sure I spelled her lovely name correctly). Def an A+++ reco!

We had such a great time! There were 4 other people on the raft with us and they were fun. Our guide, Demetra, was awesome! We didn’t go through big white water…just class 1 and 2 but she handled them very well. We saw some wildlife along the way including mule deer and sheep.

Awesome trip and great group running Defiance Rafting. Our Guide was Demetra and she was very knowledgeable of the river, the area history and extremely fun. I would highly recommend this trip.

Dimitra from Defiance Rafting was an outstanding guide on the Colorado River! Tons of great info & was awesome with the kids (8,9,10,11), got the hits just right, and made the trip super fun!

At check-in, during the safety discussion, on the bus ride and on the river, the staff and guides were professional and fun. Charlie, our guide down the river, kept us entertained and safe. He guided us down about 16 miles of river, making sure everone had an opportunity to get splashed by the 54 degree river water. He navigated us through 8-10 sections of rapids, and because the river was still high with runoff, a couple of them were close to class 3. We had a blast and no time during the trip did we feel unsafe or out of control. It was a great trip.

It was an amazing experience! The water was perfect, our guide, Charlie, was great, and the rain even stopped just as we were putting in. 100% happy and will definitely be back!

One of the best things we did in Colorado! With no previous rafting experience, we decided on the scenic float. We were the last trip of the year, and it was a cooler day, so it was a little chilly. Waterproof jackets were helpful, and splashes were few and minor, thank goodness! We stopped at one of the hot springs, which was amazing. Charlotte was our guide. Our whole family loved her! She was personable and knowledgeable and made our trip a lot of fun. We would definitely go back!

This was a great family event. This trip we did the float as we had a less adventurous participant. It was perfect and allowed us all to enjoy to beautiful scenery together as a family.

Our guide, Rob, was very entertaining and super friendly and skilled. And the scenery is so beautiful from the river, this all made up for the weather turning cold and rainy mid float. I would recommend at this time of year even if it is sunny to start, wear a wind/water protection layer!
