- toddwX2794KN0 contributionsIncredible adventure!!Had an incredible adventure on this tour ( I call it an adventure because that's what it truly was!). I went into this with the expectations of just seeing some breathtaking sites, which we did, but our guide, Will, added so much more to the adventure with his information and insights of the entire area as well as his engaging, funny, and witty storytelling. It became not just a sightseeing tour, but an in-depth history of Denver and the surrounding area as well as all the places we stopped along the way. Yes, this is a long tour and takes the entire day, but for me, it was so worth it and an incredible value for what is in my opinion a very high-level tour. Two thumbs up!!!!Written 19 January 2025
- flipflopfool0 contributionsAmazing tourThe RMNP Winter/Spring tour truly surpassed all my expectations. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and Hans, our guide, was incredible. He was both entertaining and exceptionally knowledgeable, making the experience both fun and informative. I gained so much from the tour. He also ensured we were all comfortable with the altitude, which I appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic day.Written 18 January 2025
- Rodfamilia0 contributionsAmazing sceneryThe Rocky Mountain winter tour was amazing. Our goal was to get the max snow experience since we live in the most southern part of Texas. Our trip was cut a little short by about 45 minutes, which we were told is not the norm, and the company gave us a small partial refund so that was greatly appreciated. Alex our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. It was VERY cold so go prepared. I highly recommend if you don't have the vehicle to drive in mountain snow and if you want some history with the sightseeing.Written 8 January 2025
- S33k3r-220 contributionsColorado Sightseer is TOP NOTCH. RMNP Tour is Fantastic!!Flew into Denver on November 6th and endured the first big snow storm of 2024. Wasn't sure we were going to be able to move forward with the tour. Another company cancelled their tour, but Colorado Sightseer came through and went through with the tour. We left about an hour late, but it was WELL worth the wait. Our tour guide was top-notch, and the scenery was stunning. We even got surrounded by the massive herd of elk as they traveled their yearly route. Amazing trip, and the best part of my 48 hours in Denver.Written 6 January 2025
- propperk0 contributionsA beautiful half day in the moubtainsExcellent experience. Our guide, Phil, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, personable, and patient. We learned a lot about the area andsaw all sorts of beautiful vistas and wildlife. Perfect amount of time as well. Could not recommend this or Phil highly enough! You will not be disappointed.Written 4 January 2025

- tatumrg0 contributionsfun locations!!!I loved this tour! I like that it was a half-day tour and we got to explore each area we stopped in. Our tour guide, Will, was very helpful in taking photos, offering advice, and helping us put the rubber snow cleats on our shoes (we’re not from a snowy area lol). I only wish we had a little more time to explore the town of Evergreen. It was a great tour for me and my boyfriend and I thought it to be reasonably priced. I’d never stood on a frozen lake before so that was awesome!Written 29 December 2024
- AdithiPandit0 contributionsFun, entertaining and scenic day tourThis was such a great tour to go on. The Rocky Mountain Park is stunning in winter, and quieter from a visitor perspective. The pacing is perfect - enough time to explore a number of spots, not too much driving time but also our guide Will was super funny, informative and entertaining. So drive time was a blast. Highly recommend.Written 14 December 2024

This is the second tour I book with the Colorado Sightseer and it was again well organized and the tour guides are great. Alex was knowledgeable, fun and kind. This was an excellent tour! Our guide, Alex, was super knowledgeable and very attentive. Although we were transported to/from the Rocky Mountains in a 12 person van it didn't feel too crowded and Alex made sure everyone kept their face masks on whenever we were in the vehicle which I appreciated. He drove us to several locations in the Rocky Mountains which, despite a bit of forest fire related haze, were so beautiful to see. We were able to stop fairly frequently for bathroom breaks and had a delicious picnic lunch up in the mountains. We were even able to see a moose in a lake at one of our stops near the Continental Divide! A guy (who wasn't in our tour group) went into the lake to try to swim with the moose - Alex took the opportunity to teach our tour group about how dangerous moose are when provoked and how we can respect/be safe when we are out in nature (i.e. don't go swimming with a moose). We were also able to stop at the Stanley Hotel for some pictures and get ice cream in a town nearby which felt like bonus experiences. From start to finish it was the perfect day! Alex was always checking in with us to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, he was a great guide. I would absolutely book another tour with this company if I returned to Denver.

Had an amazing time on this tour. Our tour guide knew where we would be able to see moose and other wildlife throughout the park. I recommend taking a tour since the guide knows how to navigate the park system, they're very informative of the parks ecosystem and you won't miss seeing anything because you're the one not doing the driving!

I had a lovely day with Will our driver and entertainer! Will was very knowledgeable about the National Park, the wildlife and outdoor adventures. Our day began in Denver with dry weather, then in the park we drove up to rain, then up to snow and Will expertly navigated the vehicle. We had sandwiches, chips and a cookie for lunch. I took pictures of many elk, a coyote and a big horn sheep! We were a very lively and fun group of people. A very fun day overall.

If you ever make your way to visit Colorado, or even if you currently live in Colorado, this is a must. Our guide, Emily, was welcoming, wonderful, thoughtful, energetic and engaging - shared tons of interesting information about Denver, Colorado, RMNP, while making us smile and laugh too. Easy meeting point. Smooth ride. Yummy lunch. Full day of breathtaking views and memorable moments, experienced not only from the ride but with various opportunities to step/walk outside and take in the fresh air and majestic sights, capture the unreal photos, stroll around a beautiful lake and next to a waterfall. Followed with a stop in Estes Park to enjoy the cute shops, drink a beer, grab some ice cream or taffy, and more. Then, a stop at the infamous Stanley Hotel to tell all your friends. Ending with another smooth ride back and safe drop off. It is absolutely worthwhile!

The good: Ricardo was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions. Which is why this is a 3 and not a 2. The views were picturesque and the bus was clean. I was tired of driving everywhere and it was nice to be driven. The bad: My 6ft and 6ft 2” teens spent 11 hours in the back of the bus w their knees crammed into the back of the seat. AND we could not hear the tour guide. I had to yell from the back 3 different times that he was speaking too softly and we can’t hear. He would get better for 5 min and then get too quiet again. I even pulled him aside at a stop and explained that we CANNOT hear him and I was trying not too annoy the other passengers by constantly yelling from the back seat that we cannot hear. He got better for 30 min then went quiet again so we gave up. This 11 hour trip could easily be reduced to 5-7 hours. We stopped at places that weren’t necessary because it was the same view from the bus. We passed stops that would have been great, the ones with little trails to explore a little further. Our tour had some stops w a trail to see a lake or river up close. I would add more of those.

This tour was fantastic. We were staying in Estes Park, and it was an easy pickup in the downtown area. The group tour has a maximum of 12 participants, but there were only 6 of us total on this day. Will was a very personable and knowledgeable guide. We were very lucky to see lots of wildlife on our tour, including elk, moose, big horn sheep, and marmots. I would highly recommend Colorado Sightseer and would not hesitate to book other tours with them when we return to Colorado.

Will was amazing! He brought us on a wonderful tour of many different sights in the park and we saw 5 moose, 7 long-horn sheep, 2 marmots, and more. Will kept us entertained with constant jokes and stories. He is an awesome story teller and also I would like to emphasize the care he took to be historically accurate and fair when talking about the sometimes contentious history of the land. I appreciated that, it is rare to find. He made everything interesting and engaging too! He kept everyone feeling very safe and kept pace, and waited for people who needed more time to hike. Patient, caring and uplifting guide. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Thank you Will!

Our tour guide Richard was absolutely amazing! He made the entire tour a delight he was ver knowledgeable, thorough and a cautious driver. We were able to see wildlife. We saw a herd of ELKs, Moose , Marmots and chipmunks. We went in deep into the motions according to Richard about or over 12k feet. It was a very engaging tour. The lunch was excellent, the bread from the sandwich came from a small little town and it was made there as well as the cookies. It was delish and made me want to come back into that town just to purchase another sandwich. I highly recommend this tour. It's well worth the price and Richard is a great asset to this travel company.—-Chuck and Tequita.

We had a wonderful experience on this all day summer tour of Rocky Mountain National Park. Our guide, Phil, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to "read" our group's needs and accommodate accordingly. The pace of the tour and the spots we visited were perfect. The lunch was delicious and it was nice to have plenty of water and snacks available too. We also liked the fact that the van had high windows so we had wonderful views all around and having 12 passengers total was just right.

The tour with Colorado sightseer is definitely a must! The tour was extremely well organized. We visited 6 sights and we never felt rushed as we had adequate time to visit each site. Our tour guide, Ben, also had backup plans due to weather as it rained a little so we had our lunch in a beautiful covered spot. Honestly I would have never known where to go if i hadn’t booked that tour. There are so much places to see and experience. The mountains and nature are gorgeous and Ben knew exactly where to go! He was very entertaining and kept us engaged with historic details about each area. We had so much fun at the Stanley hotel and its spooky historic feel! Lunch was simple but fresh and great from a local bakery at Lyons.
I would definitely do this trip again and strongly recommend it for anyone who is visiting Denver/Colorado for the first time!

Hi , my wife and I are visiting Rocky Mountain national park end of May 2022. We do not have a car and so booked two guided tours: Rocky Mountain National Park in Summer Tour from Denver, Discover Rocky Mountain National Park from Denver or Boulder
Which tour between the two is better? It looks like the summer tour does not include any lakes ?

We are going to be staying in Estes Park, can we be picked up there for tour?

Hi, check with them, we were picked up in Denver but they did stop outside of Denver to pick another person up, sorry not sure where. I will say it was a great tour and our guide Will was wonderful.

How scary is the drive? That's the only thing making me hesitant about take the tour.
Written 7 July 2019
The roads are fairly narrow but if you do sit in the middle of the van you will be fine. The tour drivers drive the roads every day and are very careful. The traffic is slow because of the curves. Take a Dramamine or something for anxiety and sit where you can get the full effect. It is breathtaking. Enjoy!
