Climb from the streets of the "Mile High City" to Rocky Mountain National Park, on a day trip that showcases the rugged beauty of Colorado's mountains. Weave through small, historic towns and drive over alpine passes, as you scan the horizon for mountain wildlife like elk, black bears, or moose. Take a breath of fresh mountain air while hiking out on the trails, and feel like you're standing on top of the world up here on America's backbone.
What to Expect

Meet the guide at 9 am at Denver Union Station (American Flag Pole) or at 9.45am in Boulder (Peet's Coffee/29th St. Mall)

The scenic drive to Estes Park includes charming small towns and rugged canyons. Pass the historic Stanley Hotel, made famous for it’s starring role in the movie 'The Shining.'

While entering Rocky Mountain National Park, experience the wonders that inspired early explorers to push for the protection of this amazing landscape. Catch a view of Long’s Peak, the park’s highest, soaring into the sky at 14,259 feet and the glacial-carved valleys, filled with Aspen and pine trees. The guide will lead the way to the best viewpoints, with plenty of time to hop out of the van and explore.

In the winter more time will be spent discovering the valley and its crystal clear alpine lakes.

All entrance and National Park fees are included and a sandwich for lunch is provided.

**LUNCH** - This tour comes with choice of a turkey or vegetarian sandwich.  Please include your preference as well as any dietary restrictions in the Special Requirements field during checkout.

Beautiful mountain views

Jed is a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area. That really helped to engage my interest in the tour and to better understand how they interact and either enhance or damage the ecosystem.

We didn’t pay any fee. We hiked Bridal Veil Falls. The entrance to trail was at the park ranger station.
