it’s a scam.. never go to this.
if there was a negative 5 stars, I would choose to give to this horrible experience. Driver took us to youtube, and when car stopped, security asked him to move immediately. so we heard him for first time speaking, that we can stop faraway and come to take a photo below the logo of company. we moved to meta/facebook after..and he THOUGHT that its allowed to see something, till asking security who advised that meat, never had a visitor center. we moved to Stanford University, he dropped us there, and offered to go to museum if we want. we wandered around and back to car. ended in google and asked them if we can go in, they said yes..its visitors store and center. the driver never spoke, and knew nothing about those sites, and never been there. and I definitely consider the time and money spent, a total waste.

Beautiful view along the California coastal drive
We really enjoyed this California coast tour. The view along the coastal drive through Big Sur, Carmel was breath taking. The train ride was magnificent too. Our driver Carlos for the first half of the journey was very friendly and accommodating. Overall a memorable experience for our family

Lovely couple of days on the Central Coast
Carlos was a fantastic guide and driver, loads of time to see the sights (including those off the main drag). Lovely evening in beautiful Carmel, then shuttled to Salinas by the equally nice Alex in plenty of time for the Coast Starlight to LA. Everything worked as planned and excellent communications from everyone on the team!

      It was great
I had no problem with the transportation. It was a long trip but right on schedule, and Ben was really helpful with my concerns and needs.

3 days Yosemite was absolutely fantastic!
Our 3 days trip to Yosemite was fantastic! CPE stuff were very professional and helped us with special requests. We were able to stay two nights in Yosemite with their help. Glacier Point view was magnificent! We will definitely travel again with California Pacific Excursions. They seem to have private charter also so we are thinking about Napa for my birthday!

      Don’t do it
I hate to leave a bad review especially when no one is to blame but there were many problems on this excursion. First, the train was late due to an accident on the track. Because of the late schedule, there were no more buses that would take us into the park. The only option was to then take a cab, however, like private cars, you need to wait on long lines to enter the park (buses go right in). When we finally entered the park, we only had 35 minutes before catching the bus back to the train. This was just enough time to see a parking lot and the outside of some cabins. The tour agency was nice enough to credit us for half of the cab fee but an entire day was wasted. If you want to attempt this, you would be better off just renting a car and leave early to avoid the lines. There are too many transportation components to this trip which have the potential to fail.

I booked this day trip which I would very much recommend if you would like to see the views and have someone else drive or if you don't have a car. It is also a busy and confusing area where you need a car and Carlos the driver knows all the destinations and where to park. It was a very long twelve hour day and I packed in a lot. McVey falls, Big Sur Pfeiffer State Park, Pebble Beach gift shop and most of 17 mile drive as well as sections of Monterey and Carmel. My advice is to check the weather in advance and choose a good day. Also carefully decide what to do in advance and discuss it all with Ben the tour operator because he will indicate the timing and other details. Ben phoned me a few hours after booking and this made all the difference because I could tailor make my day. There is far too much to do in one day on this tour so choose what's most important to you and what to do when there. For instance, the Pfeiffer falls trail at Big Sur takes about an hour or less and was a good option but I only discovered that at the park after asking around. Monterey and Carmel are so beautiful I was stunned but hadn't scheduled in any stops there but Carlos is so accommodating and patient. I could just ask him when to stop and saw the dolphins clearly in Monterey, whales breaching along the Pacific coast, deer grazing on the fairways of seventeen mile drive and felt the silky sand at Carmel.

Driver was punctual for pickup. SUV was very comfortable. The itinerary sent a few days prior was detailed, stop by stop, and provided a very good outline of what was to come. The area from Monterrey to Mcway Fall is vast so ideally one would spend 3+ days in the area, but time was compressed for us and this 1-day tour provided the highlights of Carmel to Mcway Fall perfectly. It’s so convenient to have the driver know the narrow, twisty-turning road so well; and he knew the best places to drop off for perfect pictures. We never had to stress with driving or finding parking. You might be a little hurried to eat and shop at certain stops so keep it under 30 minutes so you can see everything (especially at Pfeiffer State Park) and complete the tour in 8 hours.

This was one of the most breathtaking and relaxing tours I have ever experienced. Ben was my point of contact and helped me arrange all of the details of my tour, over the phone, prior to my trip. He was professional, knowledgeable and very funny! They made a point to include everything that I wanted and also provided suggestions. Carlos picked me up from San Jose Airport and we visited several areas including Santa Cruz, Monterey ,17 Mile Big Sur Drive, the Redwoods it was all gorgeous! Carlos was professional, courteous and very sweet. They arranged a tour with a schedule but with flexibility for me to stay at whichever site that I wanted for as long as I wanted. I had lunch at the Pebble Beach Golf Course. Carlos is very knowledgeable about the area, stopped for pictures along the way and provided detailed information about all the points of interest. After the tour I stayed in Carmel for 3 days and Carlos arranged for Henry to pick me up from the hotel and take me back to San Jose airport with a special surprise! Henry was also amazing. It was just the break that I need to feel rejuvenated after a difficult season in my life. Thank you so much for everything!

It was such a pleasure arranging this trip for you with some specific places in mind. We were able to customize the trip, picking you up in San Jose, going to The Big Sur and dropping you at the hotel in Carmel Highlands for two nights. This was a tailor made trip as you wanted, not with a group tour. We are happy that this was possible. We try our best to make these custom made trips enjoyable. Thank you. Ben

Monterey, California, and its neighboring gem, Big Sur, provided me with an enchanting experience that seamlessly blended amazing views, tranquility, and outdoor adventures. The drive along the coastal stretch between these two destinations is nothing short of breathtaking. The serene and peaceful drive along the Pacific Coast Highway offers panoramic views of the ocean that are simply awe-inspiring. The coastal cliffs, crashing waves, and rugged landscapes create a sensory feast, making every twist and turn along the route a visual delight.

Both Monterey and Big Sur boast incredible hiking opportunities that cater to nature enthusiasts of all levels. The trails meander through lush forests, along cliffside paths, and to scenic viewpoints that showcase the stunning coastal scenery. Whether you're an avid hiker or simply seeking a leisurely stroll, the variety of trails ensures that everyone can immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the region. The abundance of scenic spots, including iconic landmarks like Bixby Creek Bridge, adds to the charm of the journey. Monterey and Big Sur offer a perfect escape for those looking to unwind in nature, soak in amazing views, and embark on memorable outdoor adventures.

Excellent experience worth the price. Having a private driver to tour my friend and I around was perfect because we didn't have worry about parking or getting tired about the drive back home, he took care of it! The driver was great at sharing a little history along the driving route as well best places to take a quick walk and get the best pictures. My friend and I never felt rushed and really got to enjoy everything from fried artichokes for breakfast to taking a nice trail walk through the forest to relaxing in the cold River/Creek water. Encourage folks to pack swim attire or water shoes to take advantage of the stops where there is water. There's some extra bonuses to this tour like stopping at the mission and in Carmel by the sea

The 80-foot waterfall cascading gracefully onto McWay Beach, with its shimmering turquoise waters and the lush green forests, creates a picture-postcard scene that seems almost too perfect to be real. Also, make sure to take the time to visit the McWay Falls Overlook – a short, easily accessible trail that treats you to a panoramic view of the waterfall and the cove below. It's a spot that's perfect for capturing breathtaking photographs!

Had an excellent tour provided by Carlos! He is very knowledgeable and knows all the best spots for viewing. He is a great driver and tour guide. My trip was last minutes and the company was still able to get me booked. I highly recommend him and California pacific excursions. Thank you to Ben, Christina and Carlos.

This drive was full of S curves, but that didn't take away from the beautiful beaches and the rock formations. The Bixby bridge is almost a hundred years old and amazing. The stops give you such beauty.

Absolutely a must-see! The view is breath-taking, and so peaceful. Bring a sweater, as it is windy! The arch is gorgeous, the beach was almost empty when we went, and we were able to find see stars and many crustaceous.
