The first great thing about this tour was that it started in Santa Monica literally right outside of our hotel. We stayed at the Shore Hotel right across from the Santa Monica Pier and wanted to do the celebrity/hollywood tour and figured we would have to Uber all the way to Hollywood to catch the tour bus. NOPE! This company has a tour that starts right from Santa Monica! It was so convenient. Throughout the whole tour, Joel gave us tons of fun facts about the neighborhoods we drove through and the houses of the celebrities we drove by, He was super kind and took pictures of our group for us too. Beautiful tour, we visited the highlights of the city in a few hours with three stops of one hour each so we also had free time. I recommend this solution to avoid getting stuck in city traffic and wasting time in parking lots. At the Griffith Observatory for example there was an endless queue for those arriving independently but we skipped all the queues and saw what interested us!

I loved this tour, and it is great as an overview of LA! Chad was a wonderful tour guide! I selected the half day tour since I would only be in LA for a few days and had to get the ‘cliff notes’ version of what were ‘must-sees’ in a limited time. Chad was engaging and shared so many wonderful details of places, celebrities and events, that it completed the tour! The tour gave a location itinerary, and Chad gave context and texture to the fabric of LA while visiting the places even for the limited time we were on the tour. The places selected were appropriate ‘must-sees’ for the half day and as I look over the photos I took, I have to admit that it was enough to get an appreciation for LA and make a note to return to see other ‘must-sees’. Even if you are not lucky enough to get Chad, the places and itinerary are good for an overview of LA.

10 of us did the 5.5 hour tour on a Saturday for a bachelorette and had the time of our lives! Can’t thank Chelsea enough for dealing with us for the duration of the trip. So much knowledge is shared in the 5.5 hours visiting some iconic spots! WELL worth the price given how far you travel from place to place. I cannot image having not had this tour for our big group…. We would have paid thousands of dollars Ubering from place to place!
Also, customer service on the phone line was incredible. I called 3 times with changes that needed to be made and every time I was VERY satisfied with the response times and answers to questions/concerns!
Please, don’t forget to trip your tour guide! $20-25 is suggested per person… and the guides work HARD for this!

Reservations were made online and very seamless for "A Taste of LA: Half Day Tour of the BEST of Los Angeles". No issues at all. Very easy to locate the meet up spot (we walked from the Loews Hollywood Hotel) and the representatives were quite professional and very friendly. Our driver was Mike. He needs a raise. A very big raise. He drove with proficiency and safely navigated us all over the LA/Hollywood area all while giving us an informative history narrative with a touch of comedy. No one on the bus walked away disappointed. The times spent at spots were quite adequate, the lunch stop was great with amazing choices. The vehicle was shiny and spotless - so comfortable. Did I mention that Mike needs a raise. We would love to have another tour with him when we return.

On the bus, I was told where the celebrities lived and the bars they went to. However, as a 24-year-old, I was unfamiliar with all of them, and I was a little surprised when Johnny Depp came out.
At first I went to the beach. Unfortunately, it was raining, so we didn’t do anything in the shop… I wonder how nice it would have been if it had been weather.
Next we went to the farmers market. I recommend the bubblegum from a soft serve ice cream shop that Un-chan introduces you to.
As a Japanese native, I'm pretty American! This is the kind of ice cream.
I was lost because I couldn't find the bus on the way home, but I did look for it until the end and I would like to thank the passengers for their kindness.
It's a bit expensive, but both Un-chan and the passengers are friendly and quite recommended!

Our tour was lead by Halvy. He made this experience, which was supposed to be a treat for my mom who’s visiting from Ecuador, a memorable moment full of interesting information and fun for my mom, my wife, and I.
I will recommend this tour to everyone I know. I will be specifically recommending Halvy as a guide. The man knows what happened and is happening on each nook and cranny of the parts of the city covered in the tour. Plus, his formation as a sound professional, his experience working in the industry, and his science-based background really go a long way when he addresses the information related to the tour from many different angles. I feel like I learned a great deal about this city and it was all enjoyable and fun. We will definitely come back and hopefully go deeper into several of the parts of this city we were introduced to today.

Alycia was a fantastic tour guide. She was outgoing, friendly, knowledgeable and clearly enjoys her job!
Alycia joked around with us, quoted movie lines/song lyrics/advertising slogans and made the tour very enjoyable.
Alycia offered suggestions of where to eat, neighborhoods to visit and encouraged us to try everything we could (hiking, different types of foods, movie studio tours, other tours with the tour company).
Alycia’s enthusiasm for Los Angeles and all it has to offer was evident.
A family with small children did not plan well enough (extra clothing) and it was an overcast day. The bus is advertised as ‘air conditioned’ and yet one of the parents complained “everyone” was “miserable with the cold”, then changed it to “the children”. The rest of us WERE NOT miserable.
Alycia did her best to accomodate this family, she turned the air conditioning down (until it got too hot), she contacted her head office for a solution as well (unfortunately there was nothing that could be changed in the vehicle.
Remember people a lack of planning on YOUR part, does not constitute an emergency for other people.

Chelsea was great, a wealth of interesting fun Hollywood celebrities & pop culture for someone her age—familiar with a cross section of music, actor, comedians from the 80s on. Her energy & enthusiasm were spot on. The stops were 45 minutes enough to give you a flavor of the Santa Monica pier, farmers market, & Griffith observatory. The tour is just as much what you drive by—hotels, shops, studios. This is a very stress-free way to hit the highlights in 5 hours to decide what you want to do the rest of your time in LA if you start out with this tour. I had one day only and it worked for my limited time. For the next time, I have a better idea of where I’d want to go & do.
I have a greater appreciation for her job too, Navigating LA traffic (wasn’t too bad for us) and sometimes tricky intersections & the freeway. We were a small group of about 15 in a small bus. Fortunately everyone in my group was always back on time. Chelsea said she was very relieved about that! Thank you again Chelsea!

I have few questions since i am new comer in US and i dont know any of route in LA. Is it possible to get pick up from home in San Bernardino and how much it cost for additional charge? You do not get close to the Hollywood sign. It is barely visible from the Griffith Observatory. You can take a Route 66 picture on the Santa Monica Pier. The Hollywood walk of fame is all along Hollywood Blvd. you can see the Chinese Theatre on your own. It’s a fairly short walk from the pickup point.
