    10 out of 10 Stars!
10 out of 10 Stars! The walking tour was informative, insightful and provided a context for the deep and rich history of LA. Phil our tour guide was beyond fantastic. He is a font knowledge and very personable. This private walking tour is a perfect way to learn the history and culture that Los Angeles was founded on. Thank you.

    Walking tour of Downtown LA
Phil was a fantastic guide in our walking tour of downtown LA! I’ve lived in the area for years, as well as one other guest, but the third was from NY. We all learned a lot and we got to go in the lobby of my two favorite buildings - the Fine Arts and Oviatt buildings. Fun way to spend the morning before we had a tasty lunch at Little Sister!

    Highly recommend!
My dear friend was visiting from out of town and I decided to book this walking tour to kill a few hours in DTLA before his flight home. I’m so happy I did that, as we ended up having a great time! I have already recommended this walking tour to several friends and am happy to do so with anyone else thinking about checking it out. My one suggestion is this: Ask for Brandon! Our guide, Brandon, was simply fabulous. He was knowledgeable and passionate about the macabre, as well as the general, history of Los Angeles. I was surprised to hear that he had only done about 20 tours … anyone would believe he’s been doing this for decades! Brandon was very organized, told us interesting stories and shared personal anecdotes and photos throughout the tour. He was laid back and was able to answer all questions … it was like exploring downtown with an old friend. Thanks for a great experience!

    Would def do it again
We had the best time with Brandon on our haunted tails tour! He has a unique way of telling all this interesting stories and we learned a lot about history and true crime, old and new ones. We even could go in 2 of the hotels he told us stories about. I would recommend this tour to everyone that is interested in true crime and the history of LA. Def one of the best walking tours I ever did!

Kick off this SPOOKY SEASON with a Haunted Tales of Downtown Tour💀👻🎃
We had an incredible night of gory late night tales walking the streets of downtown Los Angeles’ historical zone. Our tour guide was able to recreate gruesome details of stone cold serial killers, unsolved mysteries, and the dark cloud that seemed to loom over some of the high end, opulent hotels from the moment they opened their doors. Thank you for making our evening magical and for the depth of knowledge you brought to our tour. We are locals and this is a must, especially going into the spooky season. 🖤🖤🖤

A must-do for lovers of history and horror stories!
I absolutely loved it! The blend of history, horror, and a touch of mythology made this tour incredibly unique and fascinating to take part in. Brandon was an excellent tour guide; I can't praise him enough. He narrated every story with passion, shared photos, and addressed all our questions. For me, it was a perfect 10/10 tour.

A must-have experience while in LA
This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to LA. Our guide, Brandon, was very knowledgeable and had the answer to all of our questions. He even took the time to show us some sights that weren’t a part of the tour (such as filming locations from American Horror Story and Blade Runner) purely because he knew we had an interest in them. If you find yourself in LA and have the time then I would definitely recommend taking this tour, the stories were engrossing and it was a great opportunity to see a different side of LA.

    Haunted and Historical
Super fun way to learn about DTLA for visitors and locals alike! We covered expected sites like the Cecil and Biltmore as well as less well-known areas. Our guide was highly knowledgeable and a great storyteller!

The inside of the Bradbury Building was my favorite part. The guide was very knowledgeable and it's so fun to find "surprises" such as the inside of the Bradbury Building. Without a guide telling us about it, we would just walk by it. The guide also provided some suggestions for dinner, which was appreciated. Great Time!

Awesome tour of LAs downtown area. Tour guide was very charismatic and had plenty insight in the history of the city. A must for anyone interested in getting a taste of some of the city's coolest hidden spots or any travellers concerned about being safe in the downtown area. Definitely ask the guide about other places to check out before or after the tour, as they know about other cool spots that are in walking distance

We were very lucky to have Phil as our guide - he was not only extremely knowledgeable about Los Angeles but interesting and entertaining as well. The two hours passed really quickly. We learned so much about buildings and history we would never have found out by walking around ourselves. Highly recommended. Ask for Phil.

I worked for the City of L A for almost 3 decades and hesitantly planned this for my friend’s birthday. We learned so much and we’re pleasantly entertained! We parked in Pershing Sq and started the day at Bodega Louis and spent a few hours at the Last Book Store before the tor and it was a perfect day!The streets have been cleaned up a lot and we never felt unsafe or uncomfortable due to street conditions. Phil was great!

Our guide Phil was very knowledge about the history of Los Angeles and really brought the old downtown to life. Even my wife, a native Angelino, learned a lot from our 2 hours with Phil. We've been on many walking tours and highly recommend this one.

Phil gave an interesting commentary on the way LA was developed & reasons why LA looks as it does. He had a wealth of stories about individuals involved with some of the developments.
It was a Monday in late November & we were lucky that only 2 other people were on the tour so there were plenty of chances to question Phil & find out what we wanted to know.
Phil knows the city well & suggested that we go to the observation floor of City Hall & that is something we didn't know we could do. It also gave us a chance to see some of the spaces in City Hall, all for free.
We could have gone on for another 2 hours.

Phil was great! He’s a fantastic story teller and super knowledgeable. He told us about LA history, architecture and urban planning, and answered all of our questions. The tour itself covered a lot of ground but has lots of stops so everyone still had energy by the end. Definitely recommend!

Phil was an excellent tour guide, however, we were delayed getting started due to his trying to accommodate a couple who were 30 minutes late. While I appreciate his patience it wasn’t fair to the others in the group. We missed the one building we could have entered as we arrived too late.

My husband and I had a wonderful tour of downtown LA. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and fun. We’ve visited DTLA a handful of times, but this gave us such a clearer picture of the history and points of interest.
