My mother and I just got back last week from the most wonderful trip we had in many years. We signed up for a 6 nights/7 days tour package (Paro- Thimphu-Punakha-Gangtey -Paro) that included the 11th Bhutan International Marathon with the Bhutan Travel Club. I highly recommend this company as they really helped to make a memorable, safe, and relatively affordable experience in Bhutan. We had amazing support from tour consultant, Ms. Dawa, who corresponded with me on at least a dozen email threads answering questions I had about the trip. She was so patient, thorough, and helped put us to ease about traveling to Bhutan and ensuring all arrangements were in place. I am so grateful for her support and expertise. We also had the best tour guide and driver team with Bijay and Subba, both of whom have been with the company for more than ten years. They were so kind and cheerful - and by the end of the week, we were sad to part ways after spending so much time together in the car and exploring the country. They are such good stewards of their homeland. We had many great conversations on the long drives across the country talking about the Bhutanese cultural heritage, religious beliefs and folklore, and social and economic development. They were also generous in sharing their personal lives with us. Our driver, Subba, who my mom adored and would bring him fruits from our hotel breakfast, proudly shared with me that he has a TikTok account with more than 5500+ followers. He regularly posts videos of his travels around the country with his guests. The 11th annual Bhutan International Marathon took place on Saturday, March 1 in Punakha (the former capital city). There were a total of about 250 runners representing 25 countries; more than half were locals, which was just great to see. There were about 200 of us who ran the half marathon and the remainder who ran the full. The course was just gorgeous, and fortunately, most of it was a downhill run, which was a reprieve from the high elevation. My favorite moments were seeing children dressed in their native attire holding encouraging signs and cheering us on. I stopped to take photos with, or of, them and appreciated their infectious energy along the course. Bhutan really grew on me adoringly in the week that I spent here with my mom. I was glad to take her on this trip and so happy to explore this interesting and obscure land. I definitely want to come back and visit again.

Bhutan is seriously the only place in my world travel that feels and lives authentic culture and Bhutan Travel Club made this experience incredible. We were blessed to have Leki as our guide and his integrity, faith and friendship only accentuated the significance of Bhutans culture and beauty. Seriously the best people to travel Bhutan with!

The Best way to describe Bhutan, and the BTC Team ? Wow. From the start of the contact with BTC, all the way through to getting on our plane, the communications were excellent and we had confidence all was well organised. We (two adults) had an 11 day tour booked, Bijay was our guide and Mr Chitem our driver. We had chose a private tour, the perfect holiday. We saw many other groups in minivans, and felt privileged to have such a specialised tour organised for us. We travelled from Paro through to Central Bhutan. We were so well looked after, it was just unbelievable. One day we were treking along a path, and after coming around the corner, there was Mr Chitem, sitting there waiting for us on the side of a hill with a picnic and hot coffee. We ended up with so many photos, but one of my favorites, the selfie of us with our guide and driver, they really made that trip special. I cannot thank the team enough, Thank You Pelden, Bijay and Mr Chitem, what a Team.

I went on a 10-day trip to Bhutan that's organized by Bhutan Travel Club. The trip was totally customized to my liking with lots of hiking and nature and visits to the monasteries which I really enjoyed. The guide and driver were both very professional and always showed up on time. They took me to local restaurants and places that's even out of the itinerary which was authentic. Bhutan Travel Club arranged all the logistics for my trip to Bhutan. Chimi, marketing manager, was very helpful and the fixed fee included Bhutan visa, flight from Nepal, all lodging, meals, and sightseeing tours. Suba was my driver and KB my guide. They were with me for the five day trip. KB had extensive knowledge of Bhutan’s social,religious, and cultural history and practices. He was friendly, accommodating, and patient, a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. There was absolutely no drama or hiccups for the entire trip. I visited Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro and was blown away by the incredible landscapes, the devotion to Vajrayana Buddhism, and amazed at the love and respect for the royal family.I highly recommend visiting Bhutan and using Bhutan Travel Club for your travel arrangements.

Visiting Bhutan for a week was an unforgettable experience filled with breathtaking landscapes and rich culture. November 2024 brought me a dream trip to The Kingdom of Buthan. It was a spontaneous departure, Without preparation, and I was lucky enough to meet Pelden, the head of the Buthan Travel Club agency. The route designed by him, was wonderfull. He masterfully interwoven the new and old stories of Bhutan, the knowledge of the tradițional and culture of this country, trekking and walks in nature, succeeding in instilling in us a new love for this enchanted country. And for the story to be captivating, he sent two hopful helpers : Bijay and Subba. With them I went throuht the mountains and valleys to the most distant monasteries, picnics by the water's edge, spectacular festivals with dancing around the fire at midnight, I meet locals, I cooked and danced with them. It was fulfilling and heartwarming to experience the Laya Gasa Trek and Highland Festival with Bhutan Travel Club. The mountains are impeccable, silent and powerful wilderness. Unlike anything I have ever seen - it’s as if they have a magical mist floating around them every second. Each day was a new adventure hiking through them - ancient trees and monasteries, condors flying overhead, unexplored mountain peaks, and folk tales about Bhutanese history. The hike was a real challenge and adventure, medicine for the soul. The Highland Festival and the people of Bhutan are truly loving. Kindness, bright eyed curiosity, a content way of life - Bhutan reminded me what it means to be a human! To see into such an ancient culture was mind blowing - organic human happiness thrives in Bhutan. The entire world can learn from this country. Bhutan Travel Club is built on kindness. The entire crew was always there for us, trying hard to ensure I felt at home. They offered to give me their personal jacket if I didn’t have my own! They made special milk tea just for me on cold days! They treated me like a friend, which helped me to learn more about Bhutanese culture and feel always at ease. We could not recommend Bhutan Travel Club highly or warmly enough. Pelden and his team were very patient in helping us determine the itinerary. Our guide and driver, Leki and Kinley were fantastic. Bhutan was an unexpected add on to my Asian trip. Peldon at Bhutan Travel Club was so flexible with dates and made the visa process seamless. A solo traveller from Romania was added to our duo and we made a fun troupe of three. Bijay, our guide was a wonderful ambassador for this beautiful country and had our best interests in mind at all times. There are some tricky mountain passes to navigate and I always felt we were in safe hands with our driver, Subba. I learned so much about the culture, religion and people because of Bijay’s extensive knowledge. The hiking was tailored to our ability which gave us the confidence to hike up to Tigers Nest. The homestays were extra special as it gave us a chance to be part of village life. All water, entrance fees to museums & temples, 3 meals a day + tea & snacks, transportation (air, van & airport transfers), lodging, trekking poles, 1 hot stone bath and many extras were included. It was a trip of a lifetime that I will never forget. I will miss Bijay singing tunes as we hiked through the forest.
