Our driver was amazing and funny. He gave us non-stop information during our drive and he is very charming. We enjoyed this tour so much. I would 100% recommend.

We signed up for a private tour of Greece with PGT starting from Thessaloniki to Dion, Kalambaka /Meteora, Delphi and Athens. we mainly communicated with Nikos and shared with him the draft itinerary. Nikos delivers really good service - he is detailed with addressing all our queries and is quick to respond. Nikos reverted as to what was doable and what was not. His suggestion on the accommodations at Kalambaka and Delphi were spot on. We were really worried whether we would be able to secure Guesthouse Iridanos as it was not available for booking on the internet but he managed to secure it for us at a reasonable price too! We had Mario to drive us around during our trip in Greece main island and Nikos provided a brand new Mercedes minibus for the tour! Minibus was well equipped wifi and USB charging ports and very comfortable. Mario had bottled water ready for us too. Mario is friendly, helpful and always has passenger safety at the top of his priority. He shared with us a lot of interesting history and background about Ancient Greece, how it evolved as well as the food and culture of Greek people. He could have been a tour guide)! We had separate licensed tour guides for the ancient ruins we visited (Thessaloniki/Dion, Meteora, Delphi, Athens/ Sounio, Mycene/ Epidaurus). Looking back, if I could do it all over again, I would probably just have Mario to guide us for most of the places. He cannot enter the ancient ruins but he can provide a brief history and ipad illustration etc to tell the story of each location before we go explore on our own. Mario also had good food /restaurant recommendations. On the tour guides, we really liked Katherina (Thessaloniki/Dion) and Sophia (Mycene/ Epidaurus). Sophia was especially funny and we loved her jovial personality and spark in her eyes as she tells us the story behind the ruins or an artifact in the museum. They were both very patient and we didn't feel like they were rushing for time. We were a bit apprehensive about visiting during winter especially in Northern and Central Greece where temperatures are a lot lower (below 5C at night/early mornings in Kalambaka and Delphi) and the possibility of rain dampening our spirits. However, we were layered up and fully prepared (Nikos & Mario had umbrellas ready for us!), the rain were mostly drizzles and we really enjoyed that there were no crowds in the places we visited and the fees to the sites as well as accommodations were much lower than what it would have been during summer. The exception would be the Acropolis - there were long queues, lots of people going up the Acropolis but it was not shoulder-to-shoulder. I imagine crowds in the summer would be worse. One thing to note, the Acropolis and Temple of Poseidon at Sounio were really windy. The Temple of Poseidon was probably 10 times more windy (at one point, we felt like we'd be blown off our feet) than Acropolis and therefore extremely cold - do bring hats, scarfs, gloves, a puffy jacket with a hoodie so as to watch the beautiful sunset. Overall, we enjoyed our trip with PGT.

Our group hired Private Greece tours with Nikos Loukas for 2 tours, a half day trip to Cape Sounion, and a 2 day trip to Delphi and Meteora. Nikos was very responsive to every question I had while planning the trips. He made the entire process seem so very seamless. Our tour guide for both trips was George and he was simply the best! He was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and completely flexible with the schedule. He kept us thoroughly entertained with his stories, quizzes, and jokes. At the end of the trip, he told us he felt he was a part of our group, and I can assure you the feeling was mutual! We highly recommend George and the PGT tour company!!

Our group of 12 took a private minibus tour with Nikos' company. Our driver Dominic was excellent, in addition to a smooth ride, he was knowledgable, a great storyteller, and had a fan sense of humor. Thoroughly recommend!

We enjoyed PGT from the first contact with Nikos over email. When we landed in Athens, Mario waited for us with a big clean Mercedes bus and took us to the hotel. The same good Mario took the 14 of us on the half day tour of Athens and a day later on the full day Argolis trip. Mario was very attentive to all our requests and needs, gave us lots of information, was fantastic with the adults and the grandchildren and always polite and smiling. We highly recommend Nikos and his outfit.

Very worthwhile investment of time and money. Great insight into the early steps of the growth of Christianity. Significant walking and steps, be prepared. During Summers is excessively crowded and hot. Best to avoid heat and crowds.

My daughter and I did Private Greece Tours’ five day Argolis-Olympia-Delphi-Meteora tour, and then added an extra day to spend in Meteora. I was initially worried about spending that much time with someone we had never met. My reservations were quickly dissipated as we got to know George, with his wealth of Greek history and easy going nature. This tour was the highlight of the two weeks we spent in Greece. Most of which was due to George and his knowledge of all the sites we visited. He also offered us other options that he thought we might enjoy, as he got to know us better. We are already planning a return trip with the entire family. Thank you, Nikos, for offering such excellent tours and for hiring such quality guides like George.

My wife and I booked a 3-day tour from Athens to Corinth, Olympia, and Delphi. We found PGT here on TA and Nikos gets great reviews. They didn't disappoint! We had a fantastic time with our driver, Mario, who is well versed in Greek history and local points of interest. In fact, my wife is a history buff and mentioned her interest in the Battle of Lepanto that occurred in 1571 in the Gulf of Patras. She wasn't aware we were so close to the location. Mario then suggested we stop for lunch in a town called Nafpaktos aka...Lepanto! It was quite a surprise and made her day! Mine too. Mario's attention to detail was impressive and we could tell he enjoys is job. We highly recommend Nikos and PGT!

We did three tours with our driver, Tolis. He was, prompt, courteous, attentive, a wonderful driver, helpful in many little ways such as restaurant recommendations, and of course knowledgeable about the sites. He changed the itinerary when we requested it. One of best things about PGT was that we were able to avoid the multiple tour buses that descend on the wonderful sites and visit at our own pace. All in all it was a fabulous experience and I would recommend him and private Greece tours to anyone coming to Athens.

My wife and I were fortunate to engage a driver with Private Greece Tours Group. First a word about the owner and his wife, Nikos and Anna Marina. They were exceptionally responsive to my many questions. I am particularly thankful to Anna Marina who helped me think through a glitch in my planning so I could include a visit to a museum I definitely wanted to visit. The driver they assigned was Sakis. We had a truly exceptional day in Sakis's care. He has the knowledge level of a guide and is a warm, thoughtful, open, and an engaging person. I give P.G.T. my highest recommendation.

It was great to visit the archeologic sites from mythic history. Mycenae was the home to Agamemnon of Homer fame. It was easy to get emersed in history.

Unfortunately my wife and I were only in Athens for the day as we were on a port visit with our cruise ship. We booked the private tour. Our fantastic driver was Spiros. Whilst he wasn’t a tour guide as such, he might as well have been. Before every place that he dropped us off at, he first stopped and gave us a detailed rundown of what to look out for and some history. He was also happy to be super flexible with what we wanted to do. We truly had the best day because of him, we saw so much in such a short time. He suggested some places to eat, then suggested some cool places to just wander around and immerse ourselves. We felt like we really got to experience Athens.
