Brilliant Service and Excellent Communication by Aung Day and Mr Myo

I contacted Aung Zay by What's App before arriving in Myanmar. He replied very promptly and his command of the English language is very good which made for a very easy exchange of texts. Very quickly I had organised Aung Zay to be our guide for the day in Bagan. He organised an air-conditioned car in very good condition and a lovely driver. The cost of his guiding was $40 per day and the driver was $30. He supplied cold water and refreshingly cold wet towels to wipe feet, hands and face whenever necessary! A few days later, Aung Day contacted me to say that he was unable to be our guide as he had some training he needed to attend in another city. He offered his colleague, Mr Myo to be our guide and I accepted. My Myo was absolutely brilliant, really knew how to satisfy the needs of a Western middle class tourist. He picked us up promptly from our hotel in the morning and we saw the highlights of Bagan in comfort. He took us to a really nice lunch spot and also drove us back to our hotel for a 2 hour respite break in the afternoon as seeing one temple after another get a little tiring if one is doing it all day long! The tour was a really nice pace, good information about each place we visited, very very helpfully supplemented by a booklet with visual aids that Mr Myo had with him (for example, depicting the different types of Buddha statues designed by Indian, Chinese and Myanmar architects over the years). We saw a good selection of temples of different types and we ended the day with a view of the sunset over many temples. Overall, the service was exemplary and we really enjoyed our time with My Myo. In addition, Aung May organised for the driver and his brother to take us on to our next destination: Lake Inle which is a 6.5 hour drive. This service was also brilliant and at a fair price. Thank you Aung Day and Mr Myo. We would whole heartedly recommend your service to other tourists visiting Bagan.

An incredibly enriching experience!
I had the pleasure of a private tour with my guide Myo and his driver Mister Tay. We really covered a lot of amazing places including numerous temples and payas, a delicious lunch stop, a visit to a lacquer workshop, and finally a view of a gorgeous sunset from high on a hill. I was very impressed with Myo’s in-depth knowledge of the many types of payas and Buddha statues. I had no idea that there were so many varieties of temples, payas, and Buddha statues. I really had a great lesson in history in Myanmar. I would most definitely recommend this tour!

Must-have in Bagan

I joined Aung Zay for a one day tour in Old Bagan and I wish I have booked the 2 day tour with him. Aung Zay welcomed us with his energetic attitude, the resourceful person with wise knowledge of the history of Bagan. The guide who knows all the unique corners for good photos (even shows you how to pose nicely haha), very polite and thoughtful throughout the trip. Plus, the car is very modern and comfortable.
I have nothing but only compliments for Aung Zay and his service for taking good care for us during the trip. Thank you!
Would definitely recommend to any future tourists coming to Bagan!

Wonderful guide for family trip

We - my wife, two daughters (aged 15 and 18) and I - have just returned from Myanmar. The highlight of the entire trip was the full day we spent in Bagan. After a balloon ride (which was wonderful and worth the investment) we met Aung Zay for a tour of the historical and archaeological sites. To begin with, Aung Zay is passionate and informed about what he is describing. He knows the material thoroughly and can convey it exceptionally well in English. In addition, he is genuinely warm and personable. He remembered everyone's name and there day was just an easy conversation. Aung Day is also a talented photographer and we now have some great family shots and landscapes we would not have had without him. The girls even have some fun instagram photos based on his recommendations and skill with their iPhones. Let him help you. Finally, it is worth mentioning that making the arrangements were easy and professional. Everything worked very well. I am very happy to recommend Aung Zay.

Aung Zay our tour guide had been very responsive since the first email contact. All tours were well arranged for us, great services & reasonable price. He speaks very good english & is really knowledgeable w the history & cultures. Sunset boat cruise, horse carriage ride, hot air balloon ride, watching balloons at sunrise were some highly recommended activities!

A real highlight of our trip around Myanmar. There are 3122 Temples & Pagodas in Bagan and there is no better way of seeing a high proportion of them, whilst floating in a hot air balloon @ sunrise. Not the cheapest experience in Myanmar but certainly one of the best. Not to be missed.

This was a great trip. My guide was very knowledgeable about the past and current history. It’s a troubling time to be in Myanmar and hear the stories first hand, but it impacts the trip that much more. Highly recommend a stop in Bagan with a guide to make the most of it.

This was an amazing tour. Mr. Hnin Ko (KoKo) was an awesome guide. They took us first to the local market where the villagers come each day. Then on to the temples and pagodas. He was full of knowledge, both current and past. Super informative and would highly recommend this tour. They even picked us up and dropped us off at the airport as we flew up to Bagan in the morning and had to leave that evening. Top notch tour!

Wonderful trip excellent service
We had a wonderful time in Bagan last month! I must say it was all because we had Auang Zay as our guide! He is very accommodating and goes beyond our expectations. His English is excellent and has very extensive knowledge of Bagan as he is a local. Not to mention he is great photographer too!! We had so many great photos from our vacation, it’s like having your own professional photographer! We were spoiled by him and the driver! I really recommend Auang Zay to everyone who wants to visit Bagan!
