We did a Walking Tour through Moshi with Charles and it has been really amazing! Charles gave us so much interesting information, he was very smart and took a lot of time to explain everything or discuss things with us. We enjoyed the tour a lot! This was a night to remember I thought hanging out in Moshi on a Sunday will be slow I was totally wrong Charles took me to a amazing Rooftop Bar that overlooks the city and was able to see the mountain we went through the different market places and then we went to lounges and different bars with live music so much energy so much life and culture in this town you should not miss especially for those of the culture

I met Charles on his Moshi city tour, and was so impressed by his knowledge and easygoing personality that I decided to also do the tour to Materuni with him, and I'm so happy I did! We went on an afternoon, since that's when I had time free on my schedule, and it turned out to be a great time to visit. The morning crowds have thinned out and we had most of the hike/waterfall experience to ourselves. It was also warmer so it doesn't feel cold standing by the falls! The falls itself is beautiful--thundering and visible from afar. Charles took care to lead me on slightly different trails there and back to see different aspects of the falls as well as distant views Moshi town and surrounding areas. In the car and on the hike, Charles chatted with me about the ways of life of the people who live in the surrounding areas, and pointed out many interesting plants and critters along the way. Having grown up nearby, Charles knows all about the area and is truly happy to share that knowledge and experience. I learned so much more about the lives of the people in the region--both in rural and urban areas--than I would have had otherwise. It really feels like hiking with a knowledgable, good friend. As a solo female traveler, I've realized that while there are many decent tour companies and guides out there, this kind of truly great personal interaction is not always a given, and really something to be treasured! Charles runs a great operation--he and his wife (one of the few female safari guides/drivers) also support girl's education and empowerment through their company. Highly recommend!

The 6 day trip was fantastic! Leo and Charles organized everything perfectly. It was a great blend of animal watching and cultural experiences. Every day was full but varied. They definitely know what they are doing!

Leo and Charles are undoubtedly the best team in Tanzania safaris. I reached out to them inquiring about a unique itinerary on a difficult timeline and not only did they jump to make it happen for me but they ensured every step was perfect and full of life-lasting memories. They were extremely communicative and accommodating in the lead up and made sure all lodging and schedules suited me perfectly. As a regular female solo traveler, I’m used to all manner of guides but having one of the first female Tanzania park guides and overall powerhouse like Leo was a real treat and made me feel very safe. She was an absolute blast to spend several days with and was far more agile and attentive to my interests than any other guide I had in Africa. She didn’t just make sure I saw my Big 5 and favorite animals, she’d actively adapt our plans or find new things she thought I’d enjoy, and she also taught me a lot about the life, culture, and history. Leo’s even working to empower other young girls in the region among other charitable causes. There are truly no better people to help make your journey special. Leo and Charles certainly made mine a bucket list trip. Can’t wait to return with friends and family in tow!

My friends and I went on safari with Leo and it was hands down one of the best experiences of my life! Leo is an amazing guide when it comes to knowledge about animals and nature and always trying to find the best animal encounters while being respectful to them, but also positioning the car for the best angle for pictures. We couldn't have wished for a better guide and it was incredible to see her doing the job as one of the very few women between hundreds of men.

I've done lots of tours over the years in different countries but this was one of the best I've ever done! Charles was an incredible guide, so friendly, accommodating and so knowledgeable about local life/culture and answered all the questions I had with amazing depth and reflection. Really enjoyed the hike through the local village to the waterfall-stunning scenery and Charles was pointing out their crops/explaining how they lived all along the way. The coffee experience was really interesting and the villagers showed us the whole process from bean to cup. We really enjoyed being involved in the process the whole way through and hearing them singing while pounding the coffee/stepping through the process was such a highlight!. We also loved how quiet and simply beautiful the hot springs experience was-minimal tourists around and we loved the swimming plus the rope swing. Again here Charles was happy to watch our stuff while we swam and took videos of us which was really appreciated. Felt like we were having a day out with a friend rather than a formal tour as such (but a local friend who knows everything about the culture!)

We had a wonderful walk through Moshi with Charles. He had many interesting stories to tell about the town, people and culture. It was great to discuss the history and politics of Moshi and northern Tanzania with him. The tour ends with an awesome view of the town and Mt. Kili.
