About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- aroundworld70 contributionsAn amazing bucket list day at the Grand CanyonHad an amazing day with Al Bubala as our guide! He arrived on-time and we only had four people on our tour. Al has a wonderful knowledge of the local area, the Grand Canyon and the local history! He was interested in how we wanted to view the Canyon and arranged for extra time at certain stops. We would highly recommend this tour and specifically request Al Bubala as your guide!Written 15 February 2025
- CAEJ03250 contributionsBest way to see the Grand Canyon and so much moreThis is an excellent guided tour. It offers nice pacing with an amazing scenic drive and several interesting stops. Lava fields, Pueblo tribe ruins, Navajo gifts and restaurant, several Grand Canyon view points with shops, snacks, and very clean restrooms. We also saw elk and mule deer. Our guide, Bobby, shared historic and contemporary stories along the way. Perfect for any age.Written 4 February 2025
- Guide315432903770 contributionsAl was awesome! Great experience overall!Al B. was our tour guide and we had such an amazing experience! He was so knowledgeable about everything and knew a TON of history. The day was perfect with water and lunch and a comfy van. It was just us and another couple which was perfect. It was nice to see some other sites and then of course capped it off worth the Grand Canyon. I was worried about the "moderate physical activity level," but it was perfect. We were able to go our own pace and even though I'm out of shape, it was totally fine. You don't need to be a pro at hiking. Al also offered to take out photos throughout the day, which was a plus! Awesome photo opportunities throughout the day. Very highly recommend.Written 3 February 2025

- mab54070 contributionsEducational and Stress-FreeI have been on a lot of tours and Sheldon was the best tour guide I've met. Had a lot of fun, felt the tour was very organized, and learned a lot. If you want a generic tour, you can go elsewhere. Sheldon was thoughtful and clearly cared about our experiences. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour.Written 7 January 2025

We also got to see Native American ruins and have lunch at a reservation. Ed, our guide, was very knowledgable and a lot of fun. My 20 year old son and his friend really enjoyed it too. I highly recommend this tour if you’d like to cover many sites in a day.Written 4 January 2025

A good format to the day. Plenty of breaks when needed. Water was provided throughout the trip. The stops were excellent and good positions for photos and understating the history and geology of the area. Great lunch on the reservation too. Plenty of room in the van. Well organised and simple/efficient administration and booking.Written 2 January 2025
- 9231kerryf0 contributionsFantastic Experience!Having a small group was great. Our tour guide Rasa was awesome - so informative and funny. We stopped several places once at the Canyon and had plenty of time for pictures. Also the stops on the way out were great as it broke the road trip up and were interesting especially lunch on the reservation. Highly recommend!Written 26 December 2024

Our tour guide Al was excellent, very knowledgeable about the area all around Sedona and everywhere we traveled, including the Navajo Nation, horseshoe Bend ,and antelope Canyon. And, he was an excellent driver !
We liked the small tour bus, it was very intimate with our tour guide and with the other six people on the bus. We got to know each other: we spent 11 hours with them. I liked how Al made us go around the bus and introduce ourselves and tell everybody something about each other at the beginning of the ride. It was a comfortable ride, regardless of some of the roads, and out, and Al of our bus mates made it so.
Cameron trading post was a neat place to stop, although we could’ve used a little longer stay to really walk around and shop it. And you have to get the Navajo bread, it’s excellent! I would recommend 30 minutes there.
The horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River was beautiful, a nice little mile and a half hike up and down the hill to view it.
Lunch was OK. A little rushed, but that was only because we ran into a little traffic problem on the way up 89A toward Page.
The main goal of the day was to hike a little bit in antelope Canyon. Our Navajo tour guide was very personable and gave us a very good education of how Antelope Canyon was formed. It was a nice hike, just a little bit of a workout.
We highly recommend this tour for somebody who wants to see some of the Navajo nation area, horseshoe Bend, Lake Powell, and antelope Canyon !
We would certainly do another tour with Al !

Al was our tour guide! He was extremely communicative - very prompt- and informative! He explained not only the history along the drive but pointed out beautiful spots along the way to photograph. His stories were entertaining and he was very patient with our group and our needs as far as restroom breaks went too! The trip was worth it, The Canyon X was breath taking - Horseshoe Bend was beautiful- Tour was an all day excursion but not necessarily 12 full hours , depends where you start i guess .. definitely an enjoyable full day for our family and well worth it.

Al was an excellent guide, as was our Navajo guide Lionel at Antelope Canyon. It was a long day given the driving distance from Flagstaff (long) and Sedona (longer) to Antelope Canyon near the Utah border, but WORTH IT! Al was full of information about Flagstaff and the areas and people between Flagstaff and the Canyon. Al led interesting and informative visits to the Cameron Trading Post, Horseshoe Bend, and Glen Canyon Dam (Lake Powell) before transferring us to our Navajo guide Lionel in the town of Page, a short drive to Anetlope Canyon - the highlight of the tour. The canyon was spectacular. Lionel shared his vast knowledge of the Canyon while also taking unique pictures (with our cameras) that best captured the Canyon's beauty, and entertaining the group by playing his Native American Flute. All in all, a great day.

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience on our tour of Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and Glen Canyon Dam with Al Bubala of Redstone Tours. Every site we visited was breathtaking, and Al’s expertise truly elevated the experience.
From the moment we started, Al was incredibly friendly and welcoming. His extensive knowledge of native culture, topography, and geology added so much depth to our trip. He shared fascinating insights that made us appreciate the beauty and history of these sites even more.
The van was comfortable and made the journey easy, even with a full day of touring. The pit stops, especially at the Cameron Trading Post, were perfectly timed, allowing us to relax and take in the local culture. Lunch was also well-organized and delicious.
If you’re looking for a tour that combines stunning scenery with an engaging, knowledgeable guide and a comfortable travel experience, I highly recommend Redstone Tours and Al Bubala. This tour exceeded all expectations and left us with memories we’ll treasure forever!

Highly recommend. I was picked up at my hotel. Small group of 10. Really comfortable and cool van. Our tour guide Dominic updated us often regarding our itinerary, stops, driving distances, and opportunities for snacks and potty breaks. Both the Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon are spectacular to see! Dominic shared a wealth full of knowledge of Native Indian reservation, Arizona, and local culture and history. Overall, great day! Recommended for all ages, but small children and babies may not tolerate the long rides.

The trip with guide Al,('you can call me Al') was amazing from the unbelievable views to the logistics of the way Al handles the trip from perfect communication texts regarding pick up of each group to explaining all stops (for bathroom, trading post shopping, Horseshoe Bend, lunch & Antelope Canyon specifics) and all the interesting facts and trivia explained along the way. Al was perfect at interacting with each group in the van and making everyone feel very comfortable. What a blast! Get ready for an experience of a lifetime. Jack & Heather from Maryland.

Al Bubala was the best tour guide we could ever experience. I’m upset that I can’t pay him to take me and my boyfriend around the world and teach us about it all!
As a couple from NY, we can be very closed off or seem uninterested. But AL! He was so open and warm hearted! He taught us all there is to know about Sedona, Flagstaff, Navajo Nation, Glen Canyon and Antelope Canyon! He would not stay shut and it was exactly the kind of experience that we loved! He always made sure our ears popped and we were hydrated or even check in like do we need restrooms or medicine! The level of professionalism and making it personal was absolutely top notch. Everyone reading this should be begging this company to have Al booked. The experience itself for the tour was amazing but like I’ll say again, Al made it the absolute best with the hospitality. Mr. Bubala it was such a pleasure to meet you, vibe with you. You are an amazing person that deserves only the best in life. Also, thanks for all the amazing pictures!

Al’s deep knowledge and infectious enthusiasm brought every site to life. We left with a new appreciation for the area and plenty of laughs. Highly recommend this tour and especially Al for making our day unforgettable!

We spent a fabulous day with Al Bubala, whose anecdotes, knowledge and humor informed us about live in Sedona, northern Arizona and the Navajo Nation. He kept us fully informed about our itinerary, pit stops, timing and expectations. Cannot recommend him highly enough!😀

We are a group of 6 people ranging in age from 69-80. We are generally healthy but 3 of us have some foot issues that limit how far we can walk. I see there is a 90 minute guided tour as part of the full day experience. About how far does the group walk on this tour? And how much other walking is involved during the day? Is it, for instance, a total of maybe 2-3 miles or is it more than that?

I heard Antelope canyon is closed since last year...do they start opening for sight seeing from July????

Tour availability dates states that you’re giving tours at the end of January. However, as I read the description it stares that your season starts April 1. I’m wondering which one is correct as I’ll be there at the end of next month. TY
