Great experience! We did this adventure as a family group and couldn’t have been more pleased. Brian and Elijah were patient, explaining everything we needed to know, but not overbearing or micromanaging. They showed us a unique terrain that we hadn’t explored here in Arizona. The repelling was challenging but not scary. Overall a great experience we will remember and definitely recommend!

This was a wonderful family adventure we’ll talk about for years! Brian was very professional, experienced and personable. He quickly relieved any concerns that this would be too strenuous for our group (of mostly 50-somethings!) it was challenging, but SO MUCH FUN!

What a great way to experience spectacular scenery and try something new and challenging. Brian was very accommodating in planning a water canyoning adventure, even though it wasn’t the right time of year. He provided a completely safe way to enjoy the thrill of rappelling down slippery waterfalls. He was always patient and full of praise and encouragement. I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone with a basic level of fitness.

Adventure on Purpose was so hard and challenging but the most amazing adventure I’ve ever experienced! Our guide Brian was excellent in guiding us over boulder challenges, through caves, rappelling and crossing creeks. I was challenged to overcome my fears and it felt awesome! we arrived in Tortilla Flats on the coldest day in 125 years. it was snowing and miserable. the road to our dry canyon was washed out. Bryan Came prepared with a different route and hiking plan. we were supposed to hike a dry canyon but ended up putting on wet suites and doing an amazing wet Canyon where we repelled 70 foot water falls and explored a really cool liver bed. it was the highlight of the trip for everyone that attended. half our group wimped out because of the 2 inches of snow so Bryan was kind enough to drive us right back to the house we had rented. We bought our boys this canyoneering adventure for Christmas and it was an amazing experience. Brian was easy to connect and communicate with. Plans went exactly as described and anticipated. We will plan another adventure this summer for sure!

We were visiting from the UK and have been to the Phoenix area numerous times. I wanted to find something unique to the area for a Christmas present for my husband and stumbled across Adventure on Purpose. We were a but nervous of exactly what the day would involve but it was the perfect mix of difficult obstacles and beautiful scenery. We were with a group of other great people and the guides, Brian and Kendall were awesome. They were super friendly and made sure everyone had a good time. I’d definitely recommend this adventure to others and would be up for trying out other routes Brian offers.

We had the best time in the canyon with our guides Brian and Kendall. Our guides were super knowledgeable and very polite. Our kids had a blast as well and really enjoyed the rappelling. What a great option for a day adventure and we couldn’t have done it without Adventure on Purpose.

They were always there to help and safety was definitely emphasized. The canyoneering was challenging but such a blast. And the waterfall rappelling was very memorable and beautiful. This was an excellent adventure! Highly recommend to all with a solid level of fitness. I plan on taking another trip with Bryan and family. They were wonderful and attentive guides.

I took my 12 year old son on this trip-he was skeptical that it would be fun but he had a blast. It was great to get off the regular trails and really explore the desert. The rappelling was so fun, the idea of it is scary not the actual doing of it. Thanks so much for a great time!
