Tripadvisor gives a Travellers’ Choice award to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor.
The glaciers of Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro are located within Seno Mayo of Lago Argentino and Los Glaciares National Park. The only way to access them is by lake. Starting from Puerto Argentino or Puerto Moreno, we will navigate through the Canal de los Témpanos and enter the May Seno of Lake Argentino. We will disembark at Bahía Toro and, accompanied by a guide, we will make an interpretive walk through the Patagonian Andean Forest. We will stay for a while on the site, observing the Cerro Mayo and the Cerro Blanco, and then we will return to the boat that will take us to the north wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Once there we will disembark at the floating pier of Puerto Moreno, located at the foot of the catwalks, to give rise to the route of the same. At the end, according to the itinerary of each passenger, you will return to the city of El Calafate.

          Stunning views
This was exactly what we wanted. The bus was clean and the drive felt safe. Our guide, Guadalupe, shared history about the region and the glacier. She previewed the glacier viewing paths. She was very clear about times, especially when and where to meet the bus for our return trip. Then, we were let go to enjoy the walks and the view. The cost was in line with our expectations. We had 4 hours at the Glacier Pathways, giving us time to walk all of the paths, eat at the restaurant, and walk back to the bus. Highly recommend, even if you’ve seen other glaciers.

          A very expensive bus ride
They bring you to the park Glacier on a bus, then you do the ferry ride and then you do your walk through the park for 1h30. The park is an additional $45 (usd) and it's per day so beware if you do another trip. The boat ride is totally not worth it because you can see it as well if not better from the walk in the park so it's basically a very expensive bus ride. I don't recommend this tour, it's really a tourist trap. Instead you could probably rent a car or just an actual bus ride and pay the park. The Glacier is really cool to see anyway. Also all the prices are incredibly inflated everywhere, so bring food and water. The only normal supermarket is "La anonima" in El Calafate.

          Absurd Prices
Nothing to say against the Glacier as it was amazing. Unfortunately the experience ended up being a really expensive walk, bus ride and park ticket, total amount of about $104.00 just to see sights the glacier. Prices are getting ridiculously high just to enter the park, plus, inside they try to squeeze more money out of you in every way possible.

But another tour operator, no airport transfers!
Don't book here, they are always delayed, you miss your check in, you miss your flight! Bossy and unprofessional communication! Glaciares gourmet boat tour badly organized, drivers looks always on the smartphone, bus were the last at boat Harbour! Badly organized, you pay online national Parc fees, but Patagonia Dreams are not able to change this into tickets like other tour operators, so you queued up in the line where they buy the entrance ticket

          Great experience!
Trip was seemless from pick up to drop off. Tour guide Tobias was very nice and always translated to English when providing historic facts and details throughout the drive to the national park. He made sure he repeated the details of where to catch the boat, where he will be to pick us up after the boat ride and what time to be back on the bus to end the day. Tour picks you up from hotel and brings you to the park. I highly recommend the boat ride as it's the closest way to see the glacier. After the boat ride you have 2hoursish to walk the walkways which was perfect amount of time. It was a great day and worth doing.

          5 stars for Maxi!
We did the Ice Trek and Glacier tour with Maxi. Her knowledge of patagonia and its nature was incredible (especially in her second language, her English was brilliant!) I would thoroughly recommend this tour and company to anybody

          Absolutely amazing glacier tour
The most incredible tour. Really informative guide who spoke both English & Spanish. Stopped at a great look out, then onto a 1 hr boat tour up close to the glacier, then had 2 hours to complete a walk of a choice of 3 and have some afternoon tea. Best day ever. The glacier is just fantastic.

Money is a BIG problem in Argentina
There is no money in Argentina. Do not book anything that requires cash. The banks are inept and can only dispense small amounts of money with high fees. Please do not book anything in advance and do not book any places that want cash. There's is NO cash here. Their economy is stuffed. I would recommend booking accom when you are about to come because if you book in advance....you are paying too much. Either bring USD in cash or you are in trouble. Some places charge 20% to use a credit card. That is because they know their money will drop in value before they get payment. Tricky landscape....but still great.

Fine as a whistlestop tour and good value
An okay excursion to El Chalten but only a couple of short walks rather than actual treks. Guide (Camilla) was helpful and informative. Probably too much time spent in El Chalten at the end of the excursion. Decent price and value for the trip but probably better options if you want to do longer treks.

          Glaciers are stunning
We decided to go for the full "Gourmet" trip and included the disembarking at Perito Mereno Glacier. The Spegazinni Glacier was worth the time and money spent doing the sailing tour. We took a boxed lunch from our B&B as was cheaper. The pick ups were good and organization of the tour was excellent. However, if you are on a budget, just a visit to the boardwalks and a short boat ride at Perito Mereno is OK and a must do.

          glacier review
It was the cheapest excision we could find (which had the boat trip) and OMG it was so worth the price. The lady in charge was extremely knowledgeable and told us so much information on the bus, as well as pointing out some rare wildlife. so worth it !!!

The guide was very informative and spoke in two languages so we knew exactly what was happening. We learnt a lot about the glaciers, it was very interesting.
The crew were very professional and helpful

Since we began to see the snow-capped mountains and later the glaciers, you realize the landscapes that you can see in nature, pure life without words.
