Terrible experience. Did not see tango
Venue was pretty but if you want to see below the shoulders skip it. $200 wasted. Went to LaQuerandi and had a great experience for about $50.

          Totally worth it
This was totally worth it! We took a day trip from Buenos Aires. There is so much charm in Colonia, and lots of good food. The ferry was easy, even with customs.

          Interesting and beautiful
Interesting, well organized, the ferry was great! The communication and punctuality with the tour organizers in Buenos Aires was better than expected. Highly recommended! Customs in Uruguay and Argentina were fast. It was a nice experience to visit Colonia de Sacramento as it is so close to Buenos Aires, and you will learn some history about this village and their Spanish and Portuguese influence. Our tour guide in Uruguay was Anabel, very kind and passionate about her town. If you want to try a Chivito sandwich, find the local food trucks located a couple of blocks away from the tourist area. Try the Juana La Loca alfajor! :D

          Wonderful shopping tour guy.
Wonderful Albert tour and driver. He have done a terrific job to guide and take care of us during shopping time. We ran out of cash so we could not tip him, but we really appreciated his enthusiasm.

A good overview of gaucho culture for 5 hours
Did this tour in a cool and sunny day which makes it a lot more attractive . You get picked up at the hotel and then driven to the ranch. Thereafter at 1100-1630hrs you are invited to partake in horse rides, horse carriage ride, talk in gaucho culture, lunch with a good and entertaining show highlighting the fences in the region as well as a quick overview of tango. This is followed by gaucho tricks on horses and a tea with mate . It ticks all you want to see in outside BA and was okay for me . I left happy and satisfied . Will recommend in future . Just be aware that this outdoor, so bring sunblock and insect repellent and your shoes will get muddy at some parts

City Tour Buenos Aires - did not meet expectations
We took a 4.5 hour Premium City tour on 4 March 2024 & we were disappointed. The first hour was spent doing pickups at 5 or 6 other hotels. The pre-booking through Viator listed the stops & we did not do Calle Defensa Bairro San Telmo, the Mafalda statue & Dulce de Leche tasting & we spent less time at other stops. We did pass by a number of landmarks listed but not slowing down or close enough to enable photos from the bus. The highlight was La Boca, Caminito where we did have free time to walk a bit. Colourful & enjoyable there.

          Very good value tour
Very good tour of the main sights of Buenos Aires with a very good guide. She (unfortunately I have forgotten her name) was very informative and helpful. Highly recommend.

          Well Organized, Lots of Waiting
Prior to the tour the organizers were generous with reminders, scheduling and logistics, which was very helpful considering the border crossing. Our driver, Nora, arrived at 6:45 AM as promised and was waiting on us when we arrived back in the afternoon. We arrived at the ferry terminal quickly and were through passport control in just minutes - which meant we then waited for over an hour for the 8:30 ferry departure. Upon arrival in Colonia, the guide told us to wait another 20-30 minutes for the tour to start. There were 15-20 people on the tour but only two English speakers, so the guide conducted the tour in Spanish with some English tacked-on at the end. I speak enough Spanish to know that she wasn't giving a full translation. This quickly got frustrating so we abandoned the tour to explore Colonia on our own and found a nice waterfront restaurant for lunch. Luckily we'd gotten the sightseeing map from the helpful tourist desk in the ferry terminal while we waited on the tour. It's a beautiful little town that can easily be explored in a few hours. I didn't get the tour promised, but I still enjoyed my time in Colonia.

          Enjoyable and Relaxing
Colonia is a neat and relaxing town. I enjoyed the tour, as there was not too much walking like with some tours. Our tour guide, Nataly, showed around for a bit, gave us some good information, then sent us on our way to go check out the town. Everything in the town is near each other, and easy to get around while learning about the history. Also, shout out to the driver. Picked us up right on time at the hotel, and from the port at the end of the tour. Overall the company provided clear instructions, and planned it out well to make the trip seamless.

          Sites with Silvina
Silvina took us on a full Argentinian immersion tour of Buenos Aries. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We especially appreciated showing us some areas of BA not normally included on a tour. We would highly recommend taking a private tour with Silvina.

          Good tango show
The show itself is fantastic and mesmerizing. The dancers and performers are brilliant and show off a skill unlike any other. The venue is in a historic building with not too many seatings. We bought tickets for the show only without dinner and were seated on the side of the stage where the view was partly obstructed by a pillar and the upper balcony. Fortunately, there were empty seats at the back and we were able to move there and watched. This should be a factor to consider what type of ticket one should purchase. Otherwise, the show is a must for visit to Buenos Aires.

          Best Tango Show Ever!
Exceptional! Excellent meal with stellar performances! Dancers, musicians and singers were wonderful. The pace of the show was perfect, as well.

          Did we get scammed?
Months earlier we booked a private tour of Colonia. Once we arrived, there was no private tour. I noticed the company we paid changed our reservation from “private” to this “premium” tour, without notification or price adjustment, yet the tour guide said our names weren’t even on the list for the group tour. According to tour staff in Colonia, this has been happening a lot lately. The guides at the cruise port said group tours cost US$10 per person, private tours US$60 total. We paid around US$300 for a tour that didn’t even exist. Just book the tour directly with Colonia Express (the company that operates the ferry from Buenos Aires). You’ll save money and will actually get what you want. You can also just explore on your own, which is what we ended up doing.

Nice one day tour from Buenos Aires.
The town was very quaint and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Make sure to get pictures of the street of sighs and the lighthouse. I took a one day trip from Buenos Aires to get another stamp in my passport. ~smile~

          Great intro to Buenos Aires
Really comprehensive introduction to Buenos Aires. The pick up from hotel was punctual, and the bus comfortable. We saw most of the sights, and had free time to walk around. Daniella was very informative and helpful.

We spent half of the morning between our transfer in Buenos Aires and our trip to Montevideo. Upon our arrival, we took one of the buses outside the port terminal and started the tour. Our guide Ana was very kind. She had a great knowledge of the history of the areas we visited and a good grasp of English. We made a couple of stops at the historic district and the main spots. Next, we had lunch at "EL FOGON" Restaurant and visited Montevideo Shopping and had some spare time on our own. The return was smooth. Locals were very nice, too.
