Most Amazing MUST DO - Assado, Art & History Experience - in all of Argentina
I was an initially reluctant participant in this food, wine & art adventure arranged in advance by my wife, as we only had 4 days in Buenos Aires BUT how mistaken I was! THIS was one of the HIGHLIGHTS of our trip to Argentina. Frank, our host, would be well suited to appearing in movies on the big screen, doing a cooking class TV series or making documentaries on the History channel - INSTEAD he does all of this for you in person whilst spoiling you with exceptional food, wine & his excellent company. From the incredible comfort of his remarkable home, to the stroll around the trendy Palermo Viejo neighbourhood including local art & bakery and a high end wine dealer & butcher. Not to mention introducing us to “Fernet-Branca” (Fernet con Coca) the Cocktail equivalent of Argentinas other famous drink Maté. If it comes to time or cost considerations - you really CAN’T AFFORD TO MISS this opportunity.

      Fantastic Asado experience in BA!
We had a fantastic day with Frank learning lots about Buenos Aires, and exploring the neighbourhood centred around the wonderful asado experience. The food was delicious and it was very special learning how to create it and sharing it in a private home. I’d highly recommend this tour, we had the best time!

Great way to spend an afternoon!
We didn’t have a lot of time in Buenos Aires and wanted to do something fun with the little time we had. This turned out to be a great experience! Every stop was delicious and just the right amount of food. We really enjoyed learning more about Buenos Aires and Palermo. Frank was an excellent guide. Highly recommend!

Amazing neighborhood tour and food experience!
Frank was an amazing host. He was very knowledgeable about the neighborhood and street art. And the food was amazing! We will be cooking many of the recipes we learned on the tour. This is an activity you must do when in Buenos Aires!

A delightful visit to Palermo Viejo!
Natalie our guide was excellent. She ascertained any food allergy information before we started and was conscious of it the entire tour. Her demeanor was outgoing and extremely friendly. She taught us a great deal about the culture and customs of Palermo. Her knowledge of the street art was impressive. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and Natalie's presentation. We would highly recommend this tour.

Plentiful, authentic food - great history.
This tour saved me - I didn't know where to eat in Buenos Aires, what to order, what to see. In fact, I was rather overwhelmed by the possibilities. This tour was great as we started with a light, traditional Argentinian breakfast and proceeded from there. We toured and learned about the Botanical Garden, Palermo Soho with its vibrant street art and progressive community vegetable garden fed by the city's compost and we even learned how difficult it is to score a card to ride public transportation, which, like the rest of the vehicles in the city, is rather crazy as we saw in Plaza Italia. The food was great and it was served in such portions and we did enough walking that it never seemed like too much. We ate at a neighborhood parrilla rather than a tourist trap one. We had amazing cheese at one stop and I discovered my new favorite drink - limonada!! The amount of meals you get and the information you learn and the sites you see for the price is phenomenal. If I had done this one my own, I would have spent significantly more, ordered incorrectly and missed the story behind the sites, not to mention a lot of the sites themselves. I cannot believe what I got for the price. ALL the meals are included in your tour price!

Exceptional experience of an asado adventure
Frank is an amazing host and very likeable chap. We were invited to his beautiful house and that is when our adventure started. We had a welcome drink and then we helped him make the chimichurri and then we went shopping around his hip neighbourhood of Palermo and bought our produce that we were going to make for our asado. It was an exceptional experience I will never forget. Thank you Frank!

      Best Food We Ate!
Frank was an amazing host with so much knowledge about the city and history of not just the area but the country. The food was excellent!!! Hands down the best meat and meal we had in all of Argentina. We had a wonderful walk around part of the city where he pointed out local street art and gave us the names and history of the artists. A stop at a wine shop for a bit of wine tasting where I of course bought a couple bottles. Then back to his home to eat. And it was so so much food. Definitely come hungry! Highly recommend.

Must Try Experience in Buenos Aires!
Asado Adventure was definitely a highlight of our trip to Argentina! Frank is such a gracious host and has curated such a beautifully informative experience. We learned so much about regional and local culinary, art, and political history as we explored the Palermo Viejo neighborhood. We also got to taste some of the best food we had on our trip during the experience. Having a hand in making some of the food made it all the more memorable. Frank was also great in giving us more recommendations on local shops and places to try so that our adventure could continue. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Buenos Aires!

A great 'taste' of urban Argentina!
We very much enjoyed this unique local experience with our expert guide, Agustin! It's hard to find an experience that combines history, art, food, wine and great conversation - all in a half day's leisurely stroll around such a beautiful city. It was my wife's favorite part of our time in Buenos Aires! We would highly recommend this casual outing to get a great 'taste' of urban Argentina...

      Pizza Tour in Buenos Aires
We enjoyed the Asado Adventure tour with our kids and had a great time! We saw a different part of the city and learned more about its history plus tried four different styles/flavors of pizza plus a sweet treat to end the night. Frank was a great guide and ensured we have a good time.

      Must do in Buenos Aires!
This whole experience was amazing. We felt like we got at least 4 different experiences in one— asado, street tour, wine tasting and cooking lesson. Frank has thought of it all when constructing this Asado Experience. We were welcomed into his home where he gave us a background on himself and told us the plan for the day, highlighting that his daughter would be taking photos so we could be fully present and enjoy the day, and receive the photos after. We jumped right in to make the chimichurri sauce and prepare the fire for the asado. Then, we were taken on a tour of the neighborhood whilst shopping for a couple last ingredients for our asado. Frank told us about famous street art and history as we were passing through the neighborhood. He is an excellent story teller. When we got back to the house we were welcomed to the table where a sommelier and Frank led us through a wine tasting. The food started to come off the asado shortly after. This was easily the most delicious meal we had in Buenos Aires. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. This tour was abundant in all— thoughtfulness, history, food, drinks, authenticity, and making us feel at home.

      A great food tour!
We had a fantastic day with Josefina. We explored several parts of Palermo, stopping for amazing food - including black sausage, steak, empanadas and gelato. Josephine was very knowledgeable, providing just the right amount of information and history about the area, making it personable and accessible. We learned a lot from her! I’d highly recommend this company, the communication was great and it was absolutely good value.

We did Frank's Food Tour in BA a couple of years ago and truly enjoyed meeting him and learning about his city. When I found out we could bring a taste of Argentina home via a virtual chimichurri class, I was in!

If you are looking to learn about Argentinean cuisine and try your hand at making an authentic Argentinean chimichurri to spice up your quarantine cuisine, this class is for you! Frank's recipe is simple and uses ingredients that you likely already have in your pantry at home. I have used the chimichurri on chorizo and eggs with plans to make it again so I can try it out on more things. It's that good. Frank is patient, informative, and a delight to chat with. Looking forward to doing his proper Asado Adventure Experience in BA when the world opens up again!

I lived in Buenos Aires for seven years and I have had a lot of different chimichurris. Frank's recipe is hands down the best. My husband and I took his virtual class and learned a number of great cooking tips. We have since made Frank's recipe twice and in two different ways (he includes three ways that depend somewhat on the amount of time you have before you plan to eat it). Even the quick version was delicious and I have a jar of Frank's chimichurri sitting on my kitchen counter right now, just soaking up flavor for the next time we grill. Excellent class. Highly recommended!

I learned so much with this class! Now I can bring the authentic taste of the Argentine asado home with me. Frank, the host, really took the time to answer all of our questions and I left the class knowing that I could do this at home without a problem.

Like everyone else who can't wait to get back to real travel, we've all looked into "virtual tours? i don't know....online cooking.....maybe it could work, i don't know"
Well this is the perfect introduction into that world, and there is no better person to enter that world than with Frank.
Of all our travels, Frank has been by far my wife's favorite tour guide - as he's not just a guide or in this case instructor, but a friend you a haven't seen in years. The class is over before you know it because the whole time you're just chatting with him.
    Now the class itself -
    1. Super simple to make. Super Quick to make. You don't have to set aside tons of time to prep before or cook after.
    2. Frank's set up is amazing. He is like a little cooking show with two cameras, one on him, one on the counter so you can always follow along. So there is no awkward "hang on, let me adjust my camera to show you..." and during the class checking up on how ours should be looking. Plus...it's actually a good recipe. As we've learned from Frank's asado tour and Craft Beer tour, we expect nothing but excellence from him.
3.This is the part that gets overlooked, but you have to know he has gallon jugs of this stuff all over his house, but at no point did he have that 'here we go again, making the same thing over and over' There was no cutting corners or sloppiness or blah anywhere.

So with all of this said, if you're looking to enter the world of virtual cooking classes, this is *the* tour to start with.
and i know if frank had a monthly cooking class get together, i know my wife would be the first one to sign up.

Thank you so much for this amazing review! I'm so glad that she enjoyed the tour and that I got to chat with you a little bit as well. I'm also glad her chimichurri turned out great. What can I say? You have touched on everything that I tried to accomplish to make the tour as seamless and easy as possible. I do hope our paths cross again sometime!
