      Pay extra for closer table
We did the show only option. My hotel concierge recommended that we uber to the show on our own because the vans (that the show provides) were sometimes late for the show. Our party of 3 were seated in the back on the main level. The only problem was that waiters and guests were constantly getting up or delivering food/drinks during the show, which would block our view. The show was great! I liked that they had more than just tango dancing… including traditional music and dancing too. It was definitely worth seeing. Might be worth paying more for a closer table to the stage though.

Had a fun day in Boca
Always like to visit a classic football stadium and this is worth the visit. The history and surrounding Boca area are the impressive part , the stadium is unique but nothing like some of the European or North American stadiums. Its age shows and the pitch certainly leaves something of a “ in need of care “ impression. The museum was good but the area surrounding the stadium and the locals were what I enjoyed the most of my day in Boca area of Buenos Aires.

      Worth it
A perfect blend of European elegance and Latin passion. Great city tour with informative stops, though some areas need more time.

      Fantastic Tango experience
This was a fantastic experience. We were picked up and later dropped off at our hotel right on time. Our table was reserved for us at a great spot. The dancers were fabulous, the band was exceptional, and the other entertainment was far above expectations. The dinner was so good. Everything flavorful and the wine kept flowing. This is a must do for everyone visiting Buenos Aires.

Impressive show but expect transport chaos.
Our experience at the La Vantana was mixed but overall, I wouldn’t recommend this tango experience. We were picked up from our hotel by La Vantana transport at 7:20pm for a 20 minute drive to the venue. Check-in was easy and we were shown to our table. The venue ambience is excellent but seating is on long tables and you take pot luck as to who you are sitting next to. They have crammed as many people in as possible and once seated, it is very difficult to get out and even visit the bathroom, without others having to move their seats or stand up. Dinner was served from 8pm and took 2 hours. Food was very good, given 300+ people were being fed. The tango show started at 10pm and lasted for around an hour. The show was impressive, although it was one song after another, with no interaction with the audience. We had been warned about the chaos in trying to get most of the audience back to their hotels on the complimentary transport. We therefore left the performance just before the end and caught an Uber fairly quickly. We ran into people the next day who had sat at our table and they mentioned they had been dropped off at their hotel at 12:45am. Patrons weren't clearly told what bus to get on and there were "musical chairs" in some people initially getting on the wrong bus. Given the nearly US$200 per person cost for this evening and for only about an hour of show, I think it would have been much better value to have dinner outside of the venue and just visit the show separately. I’d certainly not recommend the free transport to and from the venue unless you are very patient and don’t care how much time it takes to get back to your room.

Enjoyed the show - the food less so
The tour loses a star because the dinner was disappointing: for a city that's famous for its steaks, the steaks served with dinner were mostly tough/overdone (not just our personal view but one that was shared by many of those sitting around us). The show itself was fun, with various small groups of dancers performing the Tango, interspersed with songs that were well known to Argentinians, who sang along, but were unfamiliar to foreigners.

      Just wow
WOW....just wow. the guided tour was worth the 23000 peso. The theatre is stunning and so regal- can only imagine what it's like seeing a show there. So much history and tradition. Opened in 1912 the stained glass panels are sensational. The tour takes in the foyer, Golden Hall, stalls. Cant believe the main chandelier has 738 light globes!!

      Show was unexpectedly GREAT!
The show was unexpectedly good . The different category of show was terrific . We didn’t get the dinner package because I saw some bad review . But I did a la carte and food was good . The show was fantastic variety and I really really really enjoyed it .

A classic tango experience and more
I first came here 2 years ago and was blown away so with another trip to BA, I knew where to come for a show but would it measure up to my memories of my first?Yes - and then some! Starting with door to door transport, a perfectly fine 3 course dinner with wine, a pleasant and attentive staff and then another outstanding 90’ performance by amazing artists topped off by Argentine singing legend, Hugo Marcel. Drinks are also included at the show. All in, it was $125 USD and you can go without the dinner if desired for less. The whole evening encompasses nearly 4 hours. Yes, there are no shortage of places to see tango in BA but in my experience, the one that’s been around for over 50 years has yet to disappoint. Based on the enthusiastic full house, they’re doing something right.

      Very so so show
We just booked the show option and no dinner. A few things for folks: 1. The stage is quite awkward, large sections of the seating area only see one part, so you don’t get to see all the dancers. 2. The premium seats are all taken by folks who have dinner option. You get tucked into a corner if you just have the show. 3. The service quality is so so. 4. Performance theme is good - tango over the decades but the quality of the performance and dancers was quite so so. It could be just our experience but for a bit more - we really enjoyed the Almacen abd Cafe De Los Angelitos - these two were far superior in all aspects

      The mountains of Bariloche
We enjoyed our tour to see the mountains and glaciers of Bariloche. Our guide was knowledgeable and spoke in English and Spanish to accommodate the whole group. My husband and I had plenty of time to take pictures and take in the views. Definitely recommend this tour.

      The show was great.
Good meal, great show. Service was rushed and impersonal. Shuttle bus from hotels was surprisingly long; we went in circles.

      Disappointed by expensive tour
Absolutely boring tour with no music or behind the scenes or set displays. Building is old and needs updating and is moldy.

My first time in Buenos Aires and I wanted to see an authentic tango show. I am so happy I picked this tour with Tangol. They picked me and dropped at the hotel. La Ventana venue is amazing! I had a seat on a balcony with great view of the stage. To my surprise dinner was delicious. I had smoked pork marinated in Patagonian beer and pear soaked is Malbec, highly recommend! Portions are big, so don't eat big lunch that day. Show was great! It was definitely above my expectations. It was not just a tango, there were folklore and gaucho performances.
    Highly recommend this tour!

My boyfriend and I were in BA for Xmas Day and wanted something fun to do on the evening. We booked on to this tour via Expedia on 24th Dec through the expedia website (they partner with Tangol). Our confirmation told us to confirm with Tangol 24 hours before the show start time and arrange pick up - we emailed them 27 hours before. Hearing nothing from them at all, we asked our hotel to ring them the next day (day of the show) to confirm. The hotel rang the reservation line and the '24/7' emergency line numerous times but no response. I tried whatsapp messaging them and also FB messenger, no response. The hotel even rang the venue to check if they had confirmation of our booking, nothing!!! Fearing that our Xmas evening might be ruined, the staff at our hotel rang the venue again, sent through our confirmation and said that they would honour our booking (this was at 5.30pm, 1.5 hours before pick up time, and we'd been stressing all day). Whilst I understand it's Xmas and companies do close down, their website states they are available 24/7 and if we are not able to book a show the day before, they why let partner companies advertise it. It's not the day after the show and still no response to any of the emails or messages I sent....really bad service. Do not use! The show was great though and thanks to La Ventana for honouring the booking.

Dear Hena Yearley, We are very sad to read your comment about Tangol. We would like to clarify that you made the purchase through the Expedia website. Unfortunately there was an error on the website allowing you to make a last minute purchase even though Tangol notified the operation of our agency for Christmas and New Year. On December 24th your reservation arrived as "last minute booking"when the employees had already left the office. The next day the office was closed. However, our emergency mobile was operational. As soon as our staff returned to the office, we contacted Expedia for a refund. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, which was unusual for Expedia, and we hope you understand that this was not a direct Tangol error. We hope to have you back so that you can reverse your opinion and thus check the quality of our services. Thank you for your comprehension and comments as it helps us improve the quality of our services. Kind Regards, Tangol

*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
