We contacted Parto for a transfer and he was very responsive although our request was a kind of last minute. He sent us a very reasonable price, the best we ever got from a taxi driver in Bali so we agreed to meet the day after. He was very punctual to pick us up and during the transfer he kept on giving us tips on places to see in the area. His English is fantastic and he made us feel so welcome that we were sorry our transfer was over quite soon! The whole trip was comfortable and felt very safe thanks to his careful driving through a mountainous area. We definitely recommend his services and wish we would have met him sooner!

While in Bali, theres someone offering a taxi every 5th step, literally. I'd advise to always use your intuition when choosing someone to show you around the island. My intuition brought me to the amazing Mangku Samur. Not only is he knowledgeable about the island, he's patient, warm, funny, friendly and willing to go the extra mile. A true blessing! I'm happy to say that he's become more like family than anything. I swear EVERYONE whose someone in Bali knows him. If you're in Candidasa you can find him across the street from Ashyana Candidasa, with a warm smile and friendly greeting. I'll stay friends with him for life and will always call when in Bali. Highly Recommended!!!

We found Parto through Tripadvisor at the last minute after the driver that we'd booked phoned us the night before we were due to leave one place for another to try to extort more money out of us, who we then felt we had to cancel. We were quite stuck and Parto saved the day - not only did he fit us in at short notice but he was happy to do what we wanted (even if a bit out of the way) and nothing was a problem or too much trouble. He also gave us tips at each place we stopped about things like 'women will try and sell you bananas when you get inside, don't touch the fruit if you don't want it, even if they say free sample, or they'll make you pay a lot for it', which was really considerate and made us feel he was looking out for our welfare. We ended up using Parto that time for half a day to get from Tegallalang to Candidasa, then again for a full day on our last day, going around East Bali and back through Ubud before heading to the airport. He was consistently polite, easy going, punctual and reliable, considerate and flexible, and, importantly, honest. Absolutely one of our favourite 'things' in Bali, where we often felt hassled and like we had dollar signs in neon above our heads. On our last day we were really relieved to see Parto again and knew we'd be in safe hands to have a nice day touring around before getting to the airport in plenty of time to catch our plane home, and he didn't disappoint. We give him the highest of recommendations as a driver and guide.

We booked Parto for about 4 days during our 1 week stay. Not only was he extremely professional, polite, and knowledgeable but he was punctual, kept his van spotless, was always smiling, and made sure that my wife and I were never being taken advantage of. I stayed in Balu Nusa Dua area in the first week of May 2015. I booked an Innova for two days, to start with but actually ended up using it on all days during the 6 day stay. I had booked with Gede Parto. He sent his cousin Komang. I did get the Innova, which I booked, and the vehicle looked new and well maintained. It was a pleasant experience throughout as Komang drove us to our convenience. He also gave valuable inputs which helped us plan our tour better. In fact, he booked us for River Water Rafting at local rates of less than USD30 equivalent per person, when most operators charge USD50 per person. Will definitely use their services for the next visit and recommend to others as well.

Parto was very friendly, sincere & helpful. As I needed constant connection to the Internet, he helped me with my purchase of a sim card . The store owner wanted commission , but he was very sharp to notice the "extra" stuff was not required. He even prepared a cooler with bottled water for us just in case we needed it. :) Without him, I would have no idea which gave good connection and probably be charged more. His recommendations for tours were great and he never fails to deliver! Not only was he prompt in responses from email or what's app , but he was always early to start the day :) I tend to be curious about the local culture of places I visit and he addressed the many questions patiently too. He also makes it a point to make sure we are safe, giving us advice or shielding us from pesky monkeys at uluwantu temple. We wanted to drop our bags at our next hotel before proceeding to nusa lembongan but he offered to keep the bags for us and charged us lesser for the days journey. Where else would you find such an honest driver with great service? My trip to Bali this time was made very enjoyable and comfortable with his assistance. To be honest, I took the bluebird cabs twice on days I wanted to hang around the hotel, they asked questions which were quite uncomfortable for my friends and I.
