We had a fantastic bike tour with Colin around the Banghoek region. Colin was a fantastic guide and the wine stops were out of this world. Highly recommended.

We were on our honeymoon trip and used the winelands guides throughout. Prince was our guide for the private winelands tour. He was timely and everything was seamless. Prince was the perfect guide for the relatively long trip out there, he was extremely charismatic and kept the conversation going the whole time with fun banter as well as knowledge on South African culture in Cape Town and the wine region. My wife and I had a blast just riding around with him, not to mention all the wine we consumed on our way! We stopped at 4 wineries with a great lunch downtown Stellenbosch at Meraki. Our favorite winery was L’Avenir, a cute farmhouse style winery with a lovely outdoor seating area with hummingbirds and flowers, as well as some chickens walking around. Prime also took us to a good variety of small and larger wineries so we felt we got a good feel for the area. Highly recommend the Winelands Guides.

I was communicating with Colin from almost 12 months before we visited. Three days winery touring was planned, a mixture of new wineries “New Kids on the Block”, traditional wineries and additional estates suggested by Colin. Collection from the cruise terminal was arranged and Prince arrived promptly. On our way to our guesthouse in Franschoek Prince filled us in on his experience and we confirmed pick up times etc. Day one with Prince was a revelation, our particular favourite was Stony Brook, but the other three on day one were also excellent Paserene being a close second. We then had a day off during which we visited the Franschoek Motor Museum (Fantastic). Our second days tour was spent with Colin visiting some more traditional estates including Lanzerac and three others - lunch at Rust en Verede being outstanding! Dropped off at our second guest house in Constantia and day three with Prince once more for another great day. Cannot recommend Winelands Guide highly enough - superb in every way.

Awesome e-bike experience! Colin took us around for an easy riding four hour tour. You can tell he grew up here, he virtually knows everything and everyone. The two wine tasting were amazing and included in the price.

We had a fantastic morning with Colin from Wineland Guides. He gave us a very thorough briefing so we felt safe on the e-bikes. Colin was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine industry and local area, and stopped at the most scenic spots so we could take photos and hear more about the history of Stellenbosch. We stopped at Thelema and Rainbows End for some fantastic local wines. Also travelling via bikes through vineyards gives you the most phenomenal views that you miss when travelling via car!

I can’t imagine our trip to Cape Town and the Cape Winelands without using Winelands Guide. We spent a few days with Tim and Collin on the full day Cape Peninsula tour, private wine tour in Stellenbosch, e-bike tour through Franschhoek, and transfers to and from the airport. They were always punctual, flexible, SO knowledgeable, and it felt like touring with friends by the end. They do such a great job of making each experience feel personal. They made everything so easy and fun, and we could not imagine seeing everything we did and getting all the context and history in a better way. We could not recommend their services more for couples, friends, or families looking to explore Cape Town or the Winelands in a fun, personal, and informative way.

He’s incredibly kind, personable and knowledgeable about South Africa and specifically the winelands. I wanted to go to some “hidden gems” and he delivered! This was definitely one of the most memorable days for us on our honeymoon. And all thanks to the company and Tim!

We did both the Cape Peninsula tour and best of Winelands tour. Both tours were absolutely incredible and we could not have asked for a better start to our honeymoon. Colin and Tim were amazing guides, and made our experience feel like we were spending the full day with friends. My wife and I highly recommend using Colin and his team. They are the best!

What an amazing day. Collin’s knowledge of the area and the wine-making process was so informative. He grew up in the area and worked at wine farms in his youth, so he has first hand knowledge. Add to that his engaging personality and humor for an overall fabulous experience. Highly recommend!
