About
CROCODILE CAGE DIVING
Take things to the next level with our crocodile cage diving experience by sharing a pond with half a dozen adult Nile crocs. Facilitated by African Croc Dive, crocodile cage diving is a thrilling close encounter that includes a safety briefing and all diving equipment. It takes place in a sturdy and spacious steel cage that’s surrounded by water on all sides. You’ll spend around 20 minutes in the crocs’ watery habitat and will get to see them both feeding and resting. The crocodile cage diving experience is both underwater and at surface level. Booking is recommended but not essential. 15 September – April, six daily dives, ages nine and up.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- John C0 contributionsManage your expectationsThis is a short cut way to see the big 5 . Good lunch included and some wine. However, it’s not a great experience. The National Parks are so much better. 10,000 hectares is very small for game and the lions, a pride of 4, are segregated by electric fences ( in case they eat the other game!!!) The dirt roads are in a terrible condition and the ride was incredibly uncomfortable. So its not a don’t go but manage your expectations.Written 1 February 2024
- Dreamer5607120 contributionsHORRIBLE FIVE PALM SOUTH RESIDENCE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!The FIVE PALM RESIDENCE SOUTH was absolutely the WORST, WORST experience . No wash or hand towels, rusty bathroom trash cans, dirty and stained indoor and outdoor furniture. Hair dryer could NOT be plugged into bathroom outlets, No extra toilet paper in drawers in bathrooms. Had to ask repeatedly and was left with a roll of Paper towel instead. Customer service is HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE and 100% unacceptable. DO NOT RESERVE or BOOK with this management company. They lack basic customer service.Written 27 November 2023
- 750solangeg0 contributionsWORST EXPERIENCEPlease stay AWAY from this company. I booked this tour via Expedia on May/26. I tried contacting them many times by email, whatsapp and calling and no available. The day before my tour i received a message at 2AM for my tour to start at 9AM. The guide arrived at 9:45AM, he was nice but had NO knowledge of anything about the tour. the tickets were included when i booked, but when we got to the table mountain and botanic garden we HAD TO PAY again for the tickets. then the robben island tour was cancelled since 2 days before which is understandable but the owner/manager had NO idea about the cancelation?? what kind of tour operator is this?? DO NOT use this company.Written 13 June 2023
- steingadnerin0 contributionsEnjoyable trip to see the Big 5The Matadi Team was great helping with an alternative to the tour I had initially booked, which was to another game reserve. The day trip to Aquila was very enjoyable, and we saw 4 of the Big 5 plus giraffs, ostriches, and many others. Our driver was also very accommodating by taking my luggage with us to drop me off at a different hotel upon returning to Cape Town in the evening.Written 9 February 2023
- 814karen1680 contributionsFantastic experienceFrom pick up to drop off our 2 night stay at Aquilla was fantastic. We stayed in Rm 9 which we'd highly recommend waking up to see elephants, baboons, rhino's, ostriches and wilder beasts from your balcony was amazing. The rangers were fun and knowledgeable. The food was buffet style and we enjoyed what was on offer and for each of the 2 nights a different menu. The spa was lovely and relaxing as we're the massages and it isn't often you're visited by a peacock when your chilling in the pool. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend.Written 1 February 2023
- Curlz850 contributionsGorgeous timeAmazing time. Definitely do quad biking. If going in the winter period, bring trousers and a jacket. Loved the stop off in the middle of the safari to have wine. Bring a rucksack and don't take expensive valuables on safari as you might not be able to get them.Written 21 October 2022
- pjs20050 contributionsOUR DRIVER WAS NO GUIDEFrancis was a charming young man who was a wonderful driver but was greatly lacking as a guide. He didn't know even the most basic information about Cape Town or the sights he drove us to. There were 8 of us, each paying $140 ($1120). For that kind of money I feel Viator should insure that a knowledgeable guide is provided.Written 16 October 2019
- Matadi Africa T0 contributionsAmazing TourGood day guys i recommanded this tour to you you will enjoy like we did , it was very Excellent with Matadi Africa and Travel Tours we enjoy it .Written 16 May 2019
