- viniciusglms0 contributionsExcellent experience as solo travellerMy experience was absolutely fantastic. I came as a solo traveler from Brazil and everything was very well organized and executed. I had a private tour as there ws only me. My driver Solly was very nice and friendly, he explained a lot about the region, culture and animals. My driver at the Kruger safari Kelvin was also incredible. Couldn't have been better experience. Thank you a lot.Written 19 March 2025
- Sven J0 contributionsA Fantastic Tour with Marvin – Highly Recommended!A Fantastic Tour with Marvin – Highly Recommended! Thank you for a wonderful trip to the Cradle of Humankind and the Wonder Cave! This experience was truly unforgettable, made even more special by my guide, Marvin, whose expertise and deep knowledge of the land, culture, and history added incredible depth to the journey. The Wonder Cave is absolutely worth a visit – a breathtaking natural wonder with stunning formations. Plus, since it’s located in a safari area, you might even get lucky and spot some wildlife along the way! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Johannesburg. Thank you, Marvin, for an amazing day!Written 15 March 2025
- brendansM8869SQ0 contributionsAn amazing safari experience! An amazing safari experience! The one night option was perfect for us since we were only staying one week in Cape Town. We didn’t think it would be possible to visit Kruger so quickly and efficiently, so we were really happy to find this tour option. The two safari drives are the perfect amount of time to see a ton of animals. Our travel agent Assa did a wonderful job of planning our trip and keeping us informed along the way. Our Safari guide Muzi was outstanding! Very enthusiastic and passionate about the animals. Definitely recommend this specific tour if you are in Cape Town and don’t have time to do a longer safari. I’d recommend doing the 3-day /2 -night option with this company if you have more time to spare.Written 14 March 2025
- jamiewL4354HY0 contributionsSuccessful safariHad an amazing time on Safari! Managed to see 4/5 of the big 5 over 2 half day drives so we were ready pleased. Would definitely recommend.Written 9 March 2025
- nealp5100 contributionsAmazing history with an excellent guide. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the "Soweto and Apartheid Museum Guided Tour" with our amazing guide Marvin. From the moment he picked us up at our hotel, he told us we were going to have a great day and he was right. He was professional and on top of every detail. We liked that he seemed to know everyone, everywhere we went. And everyone clearly liked him as well. Marvin made this one of the best day tours we've ever experienced, with his continuous detailed descriptions and history of where we were going and what we were seeing. The car was super clean and spacious; perfect for a longer tour. Thank you Marvin, you are in our family now as well.Written 8 March 2025
- wherez_elli910 contributionsUnforgettable South Africa Experience! My experience with Afrika Mojo Tours exceeded my expectations. Everything was effortless for me as they had everything perfectly coordinated. Assa assisted me with and questions and clarifications. On Day 1, My driver Solly took us to HazyView and made the ride very comfortable and educational, providing excellent information and answering all my questions throughout the drive. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. Shilly was excellent preparing delicious vegetarian options for me for dinner. Our safari guide Given, was very knowledgeable and determined to ensure we got to see The Big 5, which we did! He was very friendly and funny. Then Marvin, my guide for Panorama basically became my best friend in one day! He was so fun and experienced. Very active and knowledgeable about all the panorama stops and history about the townships we drove through. Marvin is very patient and even offers to take incredible pictures. I made a special request with Assa, to make a stop to get souveniers and Marvin was able to take me to the amazing Rosebend Arts & Craft Market on the way back to the airport. My 3 day Safar/Panorama tour was UNFORGETTABLE, I have zero complaints. I definitely recommend and will be booking again!Written 18 February 2025
- hikeforbirds2220 contributionsVery interesting day tour from JohannesburgI had a couple of days to spend in Johannesburg, so I decided to take a tour to learn something about South Africa as well as how diamonds are mined. I was lucky to get Marvin as a private guide for this tour. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing South African culture with others. Marvin was also flexible and adapted the tour according to activity start times and my interests. At the Voortrekker monument I learned about history of the late 1800's and early 1900's. I knew very little about this before (other than hearing the name Kruger), so this was very interesting. At one of the lower levels there is a small art gallery which I thought was exceptional. Some works are for sale. I spent a fair amount of time touring the Kruger residence, where there was a lot of details about his life, especially his tenure as South African republic president. Being an engineer, my favorite part of the day may have been the tour of the diamond mine. I had a separate guide for this tour (I think her name was Sharon, but don't know the spelling). She taught me the geology of diamond formation, as well as techniques employed for recovering the diamonds. The tour includes walking outside and being able to see how the lifts and conveyors operate.Written 17 February 2025

He was knowledgeable and provided excellent insights into the various locations we stopped at, and he also tailored the timing to assure I got the emphasis on those sites I wanted to focus on.Written 13 February 2025

- jedm490 contributionsNot to be missedWe consider this tour one of the highlights of our recent trip to South Africa. The Cradle of Human Kind was so informative with great displays. The timeline portrayed makes you realize how miniscule our part is. The Lesedi Cultural Village was very informative about the various villages and the host was so entertaining bringing us into each culture. It's a bit of a drive but well worth itWritten 7 February 2025
- CarlA11360 contributionsAmazing day in the capital of South AfricaI had a phenomenal day trip to Pretoria with Africa Moja Tours. My tour guide Gabriel was the best tour guide I had on my trip to South Africa. I was picked up at my hostel in Johannesburg and Gabriel shared so much knowledge about the sites we visited. We first went to the Voortrekker Monument where I learned about its history and then to the Paul Kruger House in Pretoria. The last part of the tour was to the Union Buildings. All the sites were amazing and I highly recommend this tour. Gabriel knows the history of Johannesburg and Pretoria inside and out. Did you know the streets of Pretoria are wider than Johannesburg because of the ox wagons they had going back to its founding? Or the story behind the city’s Jacaranda trees? You’ll learn this and so much more on the tour. Go ahead and book this tour!Written 20 January 2025
- TiffanyH22030 contributionsJourney into the Past: An Unforgettable Adventure at the Cradle of Humankind and Lesedi Cultural VillageThe Cradle of Humankind and Lesedi Cultural Village Tours provided an incredible, full-circle experience that truly showcased the rich history and vibrant culture of Africa. 🌍 Learning about the evolution of humankind at the Cradle of Humankind was truly fascinating. Even with all the evidence, the origin of man remains a mystery, which makes the experience even more intriguing. 🧬 At Lesedi Village, we were introduced to all the tribes in the South African region. We learned about their languages, customs, and traditions, from ancient times to the present day. If you're a history buff, these tours are absolutely a must!Written 7 January 2025
- TiffanyH22030 contributionsUnforgettable Safari Adventure with Africa Moja in Pilanesberg National ParkThe Pilanesberg National Park tour was truly a one-of-a-kind experience! 🌟 Our awesome team of drivers whisked us away in a comfy van at 6am, so we could start our Safari adventure by 9am. Right on time at 9am, our incredible guide T—affectionately known as "the one and only"—welcomed us with open arms. T’s expert knowledge of every animal, reptile, and plant we encountered was absolutely unmatched. This trip made me feel like a kid again, exploring my backyard—just with the added bonus of having beautiful game all around! For lunch around 12pm, we had a front-row seat to a group of Zebras—talk about a lunch with a view! 🦓 Afterwards, we headed out to see more of the Big 5 Game. Just a heads up—the weather was quite hot after 12pm, so make sure to wear sleeves and sunscreen if you're traveling during this time, and drink plenty of water. No worries though, as water is provided on the tour! Africa Moja even provided our group with binoculars, which I noticed other tours didn’t have. Trust me, those binoculars made a big difference in seeing even more of the wildlife up close. If you’re looking for a stress-free and fun Safari Day Trip, book with Africa Moja. They are definitely top-notch! 👍Written 7 January 2025
- filipa3360 contributionsClose contact with rescued animalsPre-booked tickets for monkeys followed by the elephants (same place), just two different spaces. The monkeys were very friendly and curious. Enjoyed feeling them and knowing their story. The guide was very approachable and made it entertaining but plenty of respect for the rescue animals. Well-maintained area with plenty of space for monkey business! For all ages, and part of the space is accessible for all (including a wheelchair), some parts of the terrain are not flat but still can be managed to push a buggy if needed. Safe for children but be mindful that monkeys are in their nature so they jump on you and pickpocket if you are not aware. I enjoyed it a lot and recommend it for contact with rescue monkeys and lemurs. In turn, the elephant included feeding them, walking with them, touching them to feel their sink and even, and the best of it, receiving a kiss from them! That was a unique!!! Standing right to these gentle giants was stunning! They are so silent, yet when they flat their ears, you can feel the strong, unexpected wind gust! They are not on breeding programmes, nor are they pets. They are trained and protected, yet wild animals receive medical care as and when needed. As it includes a little walk, it might not be suitable for all, but the terrain is pretty flat, and it can be muddy in the rainy season, so it might not be suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.Written 7 January 2025

Coming to South Africa for the first time from the Republic of Ireland (19 hour flight). I wanted to make the most of my vacation. One of my goals was to do a safari on this trip. I did the research and saw Kruger National Park was the most recommended place to safari/game drive in all of South Africa. Having booked Cape Town, I reviewed tour companies that provided transport, accommodation, and the game drive/safaris. This is where I found Africa Mojo Tours. To say I was impressed was an understatement, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience from the start. I got collected at my hotel in Sea Point by Saul, who was friendly, punctual and professional. I got a window seat on the plane which was cool as you got to see Johannesburg on arrival. In the airport in Johannesburg, I was collected by my driver, Solly. I absolutely loved Solly, he was a complete gentleman. Solly drove me from Johannesburg to the Lodge outside of Kruger, which was about 4 hours and 20 minutes. Solly, was awesome during this trip. Solly was like a guide during this time, telling me all about each town/area we past. He told me about each tribes in South Africa and thought me about the languages. He was an absolute professional. At the lodge, I checked in and was thoroughly impressed with my room. I pretty much had a suite at the lodge, as it had 4 rooms altogether. At this time, I met my safari driver Akani. Again I can't fault Akani, he was a brilliant professional guide who did his best to make me enjoy my experience in Kruger National Park. He was tentative on what animals I wanted to see, and what animals I needed to see (from the big 5). Thanks to him, I saw all of the big five. Overall, I was a bit skeptical doing this tour from Cape Town, because it needed flights, drives from Johannesburg, and I did it as a solo traveler. I would recommend this company and this trip to anyone. I had a brilliant time, and this is the highlight of my South African tour.

The 3 day tour from Cape Town was relatively expensive (for Australians) but worth every penny. All the Africa Mojo staff were punctual with pickups, friendly, professional. I was picked up at 4am at my Cape Town hotel and taken to the airport for the FlySafair domestic flight to Johannesburg. There we were met by Isaac, who drove us the 400km to Hazy View, a town just outside Kruger park where my accommodation at Woodlands Guest House was. Mojo provided snack boxes for the trip and we stopped at a petrol station stop for lunch and toilet break about an hour out of Johannesburg on the freeway. There were even heaps of African animals at the petrol stop! Woodlands has three rooms and I was lucky to get the top floor one with a king bed and massive bathroom. The decor was reminiscent of Karen Blixen's house from Out of Africa - lovely and very appropriate for the setting. There was a small pool, verandahs and lovely gardens around the guest house. We went for an afternoon game drive after checking in and our guide.
Our driver Mosu took is into the Kruger park. We had only gone 100-200 metres and saw three elephants knocking down a small tree right next to the road! We say the Big 5 that afternoon and had a great time. here were two other guests on the tour so our safari truck only had three people plus the driver/guide. Many other tours had up to 10 visitors in the same type of truck, and there were even larger buses with many more people. We all loved having essentially a private game drive with just three of us.
The second day was a full day game drive. Our guide was Given, who picked us up at 5.30am. The sunrises and sunsets in Africa or gorgeous. Breakfast and lunches were in the park, and dinners were at restaurants in Hazy View near the guest house. We saw a family of cheetahs next to our truck and got great pictures and videos, and further along we say leopards. We also sam several lionesses that day, plus rhino, hippo, Cape buffalo, thousand of impala, waterbuck, kudu, crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, many zebra families and literally dozens of elephants, some 5-10 m from our truck. All in all, a wonderful day as we were also lucky with weather - dry and around 30C.
The final day we were picked up again at 5.30 am by Given and did another half day drive, then lunch and check out of the guest house. Isaac drove us the 400 km back to the airport for the flight to Cape Town, and we were again picked up and taken to our respective hotels by Mojo staff. This was really the perfect safari tour!

Five Star Service for Africa Mojo Tours, worth every cent. The weather was fantastic and thanks to David, Ume, Felix, Given, Solly and Michael for that great experience. All drivers taking us around were punctual, kind, genuine and helpful. Given especially was ready 5:30 every morning with snack packs and very extremely knowledgeable and connected to the ranger community- we got to see a lot of animals live in action hunting, bathing, resting and fighting too. Awesome and Memorable trip for our family which we will talk for years to come.

This is a great safari tour but quite hectic. You get picked up at 4am for a 530am flight to Johannesburg. Our driver had wrong hotel name and got delayed, so we made it just in time for our flight. David was very helpful at Africa Moja but being responsive and emailing us boarding passes. After landing, it is a 5 hour drive to the lodge. The Umbhaba Eco lodge is great. When we arrived our rooms were not ready and we were asked to go for a safari tour immediately. We refused and had a hurried lunch. Then 4 hour safari. Saw lots of wildlife and guide was great. Next day safari starts at 530am and lasts until 330pm. So in total, it is a day or so of safari but great wildlife viewing because we went in late August. On the third day, you just drive and catch flight back to Cape Town. The one thing I would caution is that even though breakfast, lunch, dinner is included, the lodge asked us to pay for our lunch. I am still waiting for my refund from Africa and David there said that he would refund but so far no response. Overall a hectic but good tour.

The best three days safari tour . We were picked up from our hotel to the airport for a short flight (1.5hr) to Johannesburg . Another tour agent, Ben , was waiting for us at the airport for a long drive to our lodging which is not far from Kruger national park . The car was very clean and comfortable. Ben is a great driver . Our lodge was quite quaint and comfortable. Our safari driver and tour guide Mr Given was fun and passionate in sharing the beautiful park to us .The safari vehicle was large and spacious. We had a great time . He is knowledgeable and kind. He knows all the animals in the park and made sure we saw the Big five plus many more …giraffes, elephants, Hyena, zebras . A memorable trip , I love every minute of it and highly recommend this short safari tour .The staffs and everyone in this tour company are kind , friendly and welcoming. They made sure we had a great experience in which we did .
Thank you again for a special time in the park . Mr Given , especially, the best safari driver and tour agent.

Mozu delivered on his promise of finding the Big 5 on the safari. It definitely took all 3 days (sneaky leopards). My safari wound up being a private safari which was awesome. Mozu stopped whenever I asked and had plenty of great photo opportunities. The whole trip was well laid out and executed. Everything was on time from the airport pickups and drop off to having the most safari time available. Definitely made some lifelong memories. Thank you very much!

Saw a leopard as soon as we entered the park. Weather was hot; not the time to visit as animals aren’t very active in the heat, but managed the Big 5 in our 3 days. Guide, Given, worked hard finding animals for us.
