The busdriver was very calm and on time, so the drive was very relaxed. The tourguide was very funny and told us a lot of interesting facts about history and nature. We took the Stellenbosch tour. It included 5 vineyards with the mini-bus driver returning after an hour either to pick up and take us on to another vineyard or leave us there for later pick-up. We did two tastings plus a long lunch. It was an excellent day and in addition to the wines, the countryside is beautiful. For us English, the prices to buy and ship were really high, probably twice the Waitrose price so we did not buy.

Would highly recommend doing a wine tour of South Africa through Citysightseeing Cape Town. The tour was very affordable considering we visited three beautiful and picturesque vineyards in which we were treated to a vast array of delicious wines local to the regions. Special thank you to Horea our tour guide for providing us with interesting and thorough information to enhance our experience and paying close attention to our needs - going above and beyond to recommend as well as book for us an authentic African restaurant for our evening after the completion of the tour. Also, thank you to Songs our driver for taking us safely to and from the vineyards and navigating an exceptional route that showcases the beauty and wonder of the outskirts of Cape Town.

We did two tours with City Sightseeing and both with Charles as our host & guide and he and his team (Wendy and Julian) were all excellent. Charles is a great genuine character and a well known local guide with vast experience and many...many tales and stories he tells along the way which keeps you interested all the way through the tours with great humour also, you will not be bored. The value for money is excellent, the venues provide VIP service at each location with reserved group tables for wine tasting and on the Penguin tour reserved tables at a beautiful fish restaurant overlooking the beach and sea. Do not hesitate to book and we would book again and can't wait to re-visit Capetown, thanks to all the team and keep up the excellent hard work.

The day tour covering the three wine regions was amazing , especially thanks to our guide Charles, and the drivers Moegamat and Vuyo who entertained us the whole day and made us be punctual so the tour could run smoothly.
The first tasting with a short visit was very nice, the third one was an amazing pairing of wine and chocolate, the second tasting with lunch was the one I liked the less (wine not to my taste, and difficulty in serving food quickly which is understandable for such a large group). I would have preferred having one less tasting and having a longer break for individual lunch in the lovely town of Franschhoek.
I would still definitely recommend this tour as it’s a unique way of visiting the wine regions in just one day and getting useful insights from the guide.

Must do for wine likers (don’t have to be a lover to enjoy!) Picked up promptly at Green point Lighthouse, got a few others at V&A and off we went. Our guide, Brahm was very personable, funny and knowledgeable about many things and dropped many facts while on the road and at the wine estates, he really made the tour top notch! We had a great variety of wines and the chocolates were very pretty (a bit too fancy for me, pepper should not be in chocolate :P…) Lunch at the Bovine was tasty and well priced. The weather was not in our favour but still a great tour to do. Highly recommend

Charles (the tour guide) and Song (the driver) are a great team. Song always drove in a safe manner that despite the difficult weather conditions made me feel relaxed and safe. Charles could not be more informative about the different types of wines and how they became such great quality wines in South Africa. Charles provide us the historical background of the wines in a way that was both full of facts and interesting. Additionally he added lots of humor which made it very entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed the wine tour and I am glad I did it. I would highly recommend Charles as a tour guide because he is clearly very knowledgeable of wines and his delivery is great.

We went on a one day wine tour from Cape Town with King Charles and Gentleman driver Friday and it was a great experience!
The day was well organised with great food, wines and chocolates and during the whole day Charles shared with us all of his knowledge about the wines, the estates, the areas we were passing by and much more in a fun and informative way.
My partner and me did a one year wine course and literally everything we learned in that course was explained during the day in a way that was understandable for everyone. Would have been a great recap trip just before the exams :)
If you want to get out of the city for a day and learn all about wines while crossing some beautifull landscapes, we definitly recommend this tour.
Thank you Charles, Friday and everyone that made the wine tour experience worth it!

The wine route was well curated and took us some stunning views with a glimpse into the area's farming and history. Our guides Nico and Amanda were exceptional. Nico brought in his own lens to talk not just wine but about the geology, quirky facts, life in the countryside, and landmarks. Amanda was the perfect host and made it a pleasant experience. Driver Musa was cheerful and all part of the lovely experience. One big complaint though - the second stop to taste wine in a restaurant left a bad taste in mouth - metaphorically. There were lovely wineries around in Franschhoek and don't see why we had to sit and taste wine in a restaurant! While lunch was our option to eat at that same restaurant, the agenda seemed set up to eat at Bovine as that was convenient for most - drink and lunch. The food was terrible too at Bovine. The other two winery stops were lovely. The organizer should rethink the 2nd stop. I won't be recommending this trip to others for this reason alone.

Lovely day out with visits to two beautiful wineries in Paarl and Stellenbosch, and 1.5 hours to walk around and have lunch in Franschhoek. Brahm (guide) was excellent in working with such a large and diverse group and it was great to have a "designated driver" in Hans.
I would especially like to compliment Brahm on his excellent and professional management of a situation where two Americans on the tour were upset at his use of the term 'Coloured' (which has a very different context in the Cape) and refused to back down despite explanations from not just Brahm himself but also other South African tour participants of various identities.

The Stellenbosch wine tasting was fine. Come to Franschoek it could pass but the worse was Rhebokskloof I think his name Jacques cannot handle a big group. He gave more attention to water drinkers and Juice drinkers when water was asked he said there no water ask the restaurant that is how guest no tourist was treated.
Secondly Wine tasting tours should not allow children in wine tasting areas under 18 which is law in South Africa as they not allowed to be sitting at a bar same is for wine tasting. It looked more like a children party than wine tasting as Jacques gave more attention to provide juice to the non drinkers and children than the wine tasting

Sorry that your experience at Rhebokskloof was less than satisfactory.
On the note of kids at the bar. You wine tasting was not offered at a bar. It was enjoyed at their Cape Dutch venue, where is is absolutely ok for kids to sit next to their parents. In fact RBK goes as far as offering kids on our tours their own setting with the chocolate pairing and grape juice, so they don't feel left out.
On the day of your tour, most arriving guests decided not to drink more wine and asked for grape juice, which resulted in them being a little pre-occupied to change the settings.
I have addressed it with them and thy will ensure they improve their offering, which in fairness usually only gets 5 star reviews.
