We had an awesome day tour with Hotspots2c! We wanted to start off with a day tour around the city for our first full day in Cape Town and this tour was the perfect choice. Liezel was an amazing guide! We learned so much about the city and were able to pack so much into one day. We only wish we could have had Liezel with us for the rest of our trip!

If you’re looking for a mediocre tour guide then go somewhere else. Liezel was absolutely incredible and you need to book with her. This was our first experience in Cape Town and Liezel helped us feel right at home. She was very educational (history of Cape Town, geography of Cape Town, culture, etc). She was very accommodating (bought us drinks, very patient as we stopped from place to place, always made she we were comfortable when riding in her vehicle, made sure we saw what we wanted to see). She was very pleasant (respectful, polite, well spoken). I could go on and on. Basically she was the best tour guide we’ve ever had, and we travel a lot. If you’re in need of a tour guide, and a new friend in Cape Town please please please book with Liezel!

I like the idea of a private tour but I wanted something that would last about 3 hours max and not start so early as we are only in South Africa for a few days and have a very busy itinerary. Can we arrange for a tour from 10am-1pm and amend the itinerary to suit?

Since Table Mountain cableway is closed for maintenance during the time we are visiting, what happens for this portion of the tour? We have a group of 10 people, can the tour accommodate all of us together?. Also, does this tour go to Cape of Good Hope?

Hi Claranne S. The Table Mountain Cableway is usually closed to perform maintenance for two weeks in winter - July / August. The optional (and not included) Cable car tickets are not bookable during this period but the mountain hiking trails remain open. We would suggest to rather visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens during this time. This City Highlights tour do not include a visit the Cape of Good Hope. Our 1 day Cape Peninsula Tour travels to Cape Point in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.
Our tour vehicles can allow up to 13 guests per trip, but this booking system only allows a maximum group size of 9 during the booking process. If you prefer to book as a larger group you can contact the TripAdvisor Call Centre’s Group Bookings Department or email us directly. Hope to see you in Cape Town soon.

Yes sure. Free collection at any street address within 10km radius of city centre is included in the tour. Pick up time for private tour packages are early morning, usually ranging between ±6am and ±8am. As you are the only party to be collected for the tour we can be flexible with the pickup time. Just let us know when you like to be collected upon booking. Thanks and enjoy your tour.

Hi, this is a private tour that will run exclusively for you. You pay a set fee for the driver, transport, tour guide and included activities so pickup from the airport is no problem at all, we can easily arrange it. You will be the only group on the tour so you can customize the trip's pickup times to fit your needs. Just keep in mind that time constraints will affect the activities that can be achieved and you may have to skip a few stops if you only start the trip at 12 o'clock noon.
