Customers from : "Conrad Bora Bora Nui", "Le Meridien Bora Bora", "Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora" can take a hotel shuttle boat to Vaitape and meet us at our office (next to the main dock). Customers from : "InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa" (on the motu) need to take a shuttle boat to the "InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort" on the main island, where we can manage the pick-up. Our office at Matira is really close.

Car is BASIC, but a very convenient way to explore the island. It takes about 45 min without stopping to drive around the entire island of Bora Bora, but we stopped along the way and spent time in Vaitape to shop. - Anthony D0 contributionsCall to confirm your reservationI had a reservation for a car at 6pm meeting the ferry at Vaitape. I even received an e-mail the day before confirming this. We actually caught the earlier ferry and arrived at the Avis office at 4:30 only to find that it closed at 3. There were two phone numbers on the door that were good until 5 but neither one answered. I didn't know if I should wait until 6 to see if anyone showed up with a car for us but decided not to risk it and was fortunate to get a car from Europcar. When I went back there the next day, the agent was not at all apologetic.Written 17 May 2021

- 834ANTHONYM0 contributionsAVIS most unprofessional company on Bora BoraWe saw this tour advertised on TripAdvisor and we booked and payed for Full Day Private Bora Bora e-Moke Rental with AVIS Bora Bora via Viator. The rental was for April 23,2019 and was paid for 2 weeks in advance. We were visitors on a day trip and wanted to make the best of our time on the island. We arrived by cruise ship to Bora Bora, walked into the Avis office to be told that our reservation had been cancelled. The agent told me that our reservation had been for the previous day and had been cancelled. WRONG, we had our confirmation letter. She then made some excuses but we insisted on an explanation and a replacement vehicle. The manager was called and came from another office. He informed me that there had been a problem with our e-Moke and it was no longer available. He offered no apologies except to say that our payment had been refunded to our credit card. Absolutely no offer was made to try and assist with a replacement car. His rudeness was bordering on indifference. We were left stranded and with a large cruise in town, little hope of a late car hire elsewhere. Do not book with this company, a totally unprofessional operation and a disgrace to AVIS. Our visit to Bora Bora was spoiled by their incompetence.Written 6 May 2019

We had the best time driving this little car. It was easy to operate, no doors made it easier to get in and out of. The rental process was fairly quick but the map provided wasn’t ideal for finding points of interest. There’s only one road that goes around the island so you can’t get lost. The only drawback we found was the car was governed so we couldn’t go faster than 46km per hour. In a 60km zone we often had to pull over to allow faster traffic to pass.

We rented a car for 4 hours, booked through our concierge. Getting there was easy, and everything was fine. 4 hours wasn't quite enough for shopping and sight seeing, the windshield prevents any air flow for the driver, but it was nice when a shower popped up. I constantly had trouble getting it in "gear" Think i would rather have gotten scooters. Over all a pleasant experience.

This is a small electric vehicle that does not have too much power. Your speed maxed out at 45 km, which is slower than some speed limits around the island. We thought we could make two trips around the island; however, we found that the battery was down to 40 percent after our first trip. We returned the car early as we could only go so far, and they did not advise us where we could recharge. I would recommend the half-day rental, not the full day, if you plan to drive a lot.

The autonomy depends on the way of driving. It goes from 50km to 90 - 100 km.
It is tue that the way we propose it is more to offer a way to visit the island and stop at different points (beach, shops, hiking points, picture points, artisanal and cultural stops). We do not provide it to drive all the day. If you just want to circle the island without much stops 2 hours are sufficient.
Concerning charging options, It can be charged on any standard plug, so you can charge it at accommodation if you are on the main island. We also provide charging point at our offices. Otherwise and if our availability allow it, we can also switch the vehicle to make it easy for our customer.
I hope you had a good time even I it sounds like you were not completely happy of the autonomy

We traveled with Africa On Wheels live. Very good personalized welcome upon arrival. We were also taken care of for our airport transfers with very friendly drivers. The handling of the car is serious with clear explanations and advice. (wheel change, use of compressor etc.). The basic equipment is complete. Importantly, we traveled with a car in complete safety (4,500km) and had no incidents to report. Not even a small puncture! The car was recent and the tires new or almost new. The agency also offers all possible options. The team is also very responsive for any questions during and after the reservation. During the trip we had a GSM number that we could call 24/7. (and which we didn't need!). We recommend; the quality of service from this agency obviously contributed to the success of our trip.

Nice and easy to collect the car. A minibus came to pick us up from the ferry port at Le Bora Bora and dropped us back after. Although we booked a Twizzy, we were given an Eli. Which was OK, but no explanation given.

The staff was very friendly. We got a slightly situation with the emergency brake, nothing wrong with the vehicle. We were first time driving an electric vehicle 😁, however, we called them and they came to help us right away to the place we where at. Definitely an awesome experience 👍

We started out all happy and after waiting an hour to get car, when we tried to get in it, it is ridiculously small inside. my wife weighs 125 lbs. and was super crushed and uncomfortable all the time in that back seat (get side by side buggy instead) Then the car kept on giving us trouble to get it started, the turn on sequence was not working, we were lucky to get car back. If it rains your soaked.

This little electric vehicle was fun and convenient. Top speed of this vehicle was 47km/h, which was fine because most of the main road around Bora Bora is under 40km/h. there was only two short areas that I recall that were posted 60km/h. There were a few downsides to this vehicle though.
1. It has no door windows. So if it rains you can get a little wet or if you get in it after it has rained the seats will be full of water. We always just put a towel on the seats.
2. This little vehicle does not have much climbing power. So if you want to explore some of the back roads that go up the steep roads of the inner island, you might not make it up some of them.
3. The battery life is good for the half and full day rentals, but depending on how much you use it during the 24hr rental it could run out of power. The next day when we returned our 24hr rental. The battery indicator on the dash went to zero as we were returning it to the Avis rental office and we barley made it. The good news is that the Avis rental agent told us that if the battery gets low from using the vehicle a lot during the day, that we could exchange it for a fully charged one before they close at 5:00pm.

1. It is the aim of the vehicle to be open air. We do provide other kind of vehicles (more standard) for rainy days.
2. As indicated in our rental conditions you are not supposed to go off the main road. It is very dangerous and require specific car, driving skills and knowledge of those access. Therefore it is completely intentional that our vehicles do not allow our customer to go off road. Insurances are not covering wrecks there.
3. We rent this small electric vehicle mainly for short rental because it is fun and is a good way to discover the island. For longer rental I would recommend a standard gaz vehicle. We do replace cars for people who really want to stay with the twizy for few days.
I understand your feedback but it seems to me that the downsides you mention are actually intentional and for safety reasons.

We are coming on the NCL Jewel in March. I’m not sure with the going over the International date line which date to book, but I think March 15th? If I’m off on the date can we adjust it? Do you deliver to the cruise line? For a 24 hour for my wife and I is $138.32 total?
