- 850thaon0 contributionsSapa Solo Motorbike TourI had an amazing time! My tour guide's name was Chinh, and he was very pleasant, informative, and super friendly. I recommend taking this tour if you want to see most of Sapa in one day. Be prepared for a bit of hiking, and keep in mind that the weather can be unpredictable. It was foggy when we started, but we were lucky that it cleared up a little later on. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it!Written 8 February 2025

- klarissaj20240 contributionsMust do day trip from Sapa! This trip lived up to all the previous reviews. Giang and Su were our drivers (on scooters) for the day, and we couldn’t have had a better time exploring Sapa and surrounding villages with these two locals. If you are short on time in Sapa and want to see surrounding villages/sights - this tour is a must do! As someone who has travelled a lot, this has been a highlight in Vietnam for sure. Thanks again Giang and Su, we hope to cross paths with you again!Written 4 January 2025
- MegAfrica690 contributionsLearning the Art of BatikIt was wonderful to paint using bees wax and create patterns onto fabric. Our teacher was lovely. Her English was limited so it was more along the lines of watch what she's doing and follow suite. There was not enough time to dye our art works, but she provided is the due and instructions to complete our works at home. It was definitely worthwhile if you love to create. Thank youWritten 4 January 2025

- 848liseh0 contributionsGreat to learn the local handicraftsIt was great to learn how to do the batik. It was not easy but after a while we got the hang of it. A local lady showed us how to do it. I would definitely do it again.Written 29 December 2024
- phoenixfuryn0 contributionsA Memorable Cooking ClassWhen we arrived, welcome drinks were provided. Hoang introduced himself as he warmly welcomed us. Another staff member took us to the local market by taxi and gave us a tour before purchasing the ingredients needed for the class. He taught us how to select vegetables and bargain for lower prices. We took the taxi back to the Trekking House and started the preparation and cooking. Two staff members helped the class of 4, ensuring utmost safety throughout. A memorable experience for my brother and me.Written 18 December 2024

The views were amazing. We were on a time crunch so it was nice just to have someone drive us around and show us all the spots. I'm not sure I would recommend ta van village because cat cat village was so beautiful. I feel like I could have just gone with cat cat village and the view of the rice fields and taken out ta van village. The tour guide was wonderful and the driver was great! The trip was quite pricy, but we did it as a private group in a comfortable car as we were coming from hanoi so we spent extra on comfort! Not sure I'd recommend anyone staying at saiginese trekking hotel which is their recommended hotel if you come overnight from hotel as the roosters made sounds all night, but if you stay at a different hotel I'd totally recommend this day trip!

We had a delightful day trip with our wonderful local guide. The excursion was well-organised, covering key sights and tailored to our needs and preferences. As it was a private trip, it was just my husband and me, along with the guide and the driver. The car was clean and very comfortable, and the driver was cautious and attentive throughout the journey. With limited time in Sapa, this trip managed to cover so much that it is definitely worth including in your itinerary.
Visiting Cat Cat Village was an absolute joy, and we thoroughly enjoyed the walk to the waterfalls. We encountered water buffalos and even had the chance to pet one of them. We captured so many incredible photos and, more importantly, made lasting memories to take home with us. The entire organisation of the trip was seamless, and we were able to book it just two days in advance.

Very beautiful Fansipan is the highest mountain of the Indochina peninsula (3,143 m). It is also the most famous tourist destination in Sapa, located in the center of the Hoang Lien Son range. This Sapa tourist destination is only 9 km southwest of Sapa town. To conquer the top of Fansipan, it used to take many days, but now there is a modern cable car line, so the time to conquer the cable car is only 30 minutes.
Nowadays, to conquer Fansipan peak, tourists have two options: One is to join Sapa tours to conquer Fansipan by climbing. This Sapa tour is only for young people who show their desire and bravery to challenge. yourself, or tourists who like adventurous exploration. To participate in this Sapa tour, visitors usually have to spend 2 days and 1 night, and have the help of local people to accompany them as well as have good health and bravery preparation.
The second way is with the introduction of the Fansipan cable car system - Sun World Fansipan Legend, which opened in February 2016, has turned many people's dreams into reality, conquering the "Roof of Indochina". It's never been this easy. This is a Sapa travel service that can meet the needs of conquering the legendary Fanxipan peak without spending too much effort. This can be for all ages from the elderly to children. It only takes less than an hour for visitors to conquer Fansipan peak thanks to the cable car system that is certified with 2 Guinness records.

Despite the fog we had a nice tour. Our guide Cinh told us a lot about the culture, environment and population around Sa Pa. In addition, we have also been able to ‘see’ a few things. Nice food and enjoyment. Our driver Hay was very good, it was not easy to drive through the fog. The tour is also recommended in bad weather.

Su, our tour guide, is very accommodating since my mum has knees problem and can only walk slowly. She is also very knowledgeable and able to explain well in good English. Enjoyed the whole tour experience!

The tour guide and driver were wonderful 5/5. The only flaw was the vehicle used was a normal taxi which wasn’t great. The tour also included village tours, except for cat cat the others felt like one big souvenir store. They are the only negatives I would recommend the tour as it’s a good one day to see as much as possible. The market also is not necessary as it’s just a normal not interesting market

Our tour was great! Trinh was friendly and amazing. Highly recommend to explore the many sights of Sapa. Very glad we did it otherwise going to each of these locations by ourselves would’ve been very difficult. We appreciated Trinh and our driver’s expertise, especially when it came to answering our many questions about local culture. Could not recommend this experience more to those who want to see Sapa in an efficient manner!

Incredible! A day on easy rider going to most of the main attractions. Eg CatCat, surrounding villages, Love waterfall, Lonely Tree and more. Chin was happy to stop anywhere for photo opportunities and even took some with his phone and sent to me afterwards. This is not a job for him, It is his passion. You can see how much he loves his country and proud to show it off. Chin thank you so very much for your kindness, patients and sharing your knowledge.
Travel tip for people going to CatCat - you can apparently rent those stunning dresses/outfits and wear them down to the town for a photo shoot. You take your own photos. I'm so sorry I did not do that. What a special opportunity and I believe around 200 000.
Very happy 62 year old solo traveller.☺️
