        100% recommend!
This was such a fun day that well exceeded my expectations. Eduardo was there at the street to pick us up in a really nice van (We had 13 people, but it would hold a few more), then he drove us straight to the river to hop on our canal boat. Our tour guide on the boat, Aiden, paired with Eduardo, were so great at finding animals hidden in the foliage. We saw a few sloths, maybe like 10 monkeys, lots of iguanas and various types of birds. It was such a nice little boat ride with so many fun things to see, and Aiden was so informative! After the boat ride, Eduardo took us to go ziplining. He stayed with us the entire time while we got fitted for our gear, once he saw we were heading up to the lines, he went back to the bottom to wait for us. A few members in our group did the nature walk which they all seemed to really enjoy. On our way back to the boat we stopped at a bar so we could have some drinks and snacks. The bar had a beautiful view of Limon and the cruise ships. The day could not have been better. Our group ranged from 7-71 years old and everyone enjoyed the day. 100% recommend....and ask for Eduardo!

        Fantastic and personalized Tour
My husband and I went on a fantastic tour with Maurice (a private tour arranged through Your Lucky Tour). My husband has mobility issues so we could not do the jungle tour. Instead, we went to a plantation, and Parque Nacional Cahuita. We had a fabulous time. Maurice took the time to explain things at the plantation. After touring some at the planation, we even tried fresh bananas and cacao. We saw a number of plants, fruits, coffee beans, bananas, cacao, jack fruit and plantains growing, which was very fascinating. He also showed us around Puerto Lima and pointed out different places of interest. We passed by huge plantations which are run by Dole, Chiquita Banana and Del Monte. Now when I go to the grocery store to buy bananas, and they say Costa Rica, I know the basic area where they are grown. After the planation, we went to Parque Nacional Cahuita. Maurice knew that I wanted to see the monkeys, toucans, and sloths. We also saw a group of raccoons running on the beach. The park did not disappoint in the least. This is a gorgeous park and worth the time exploring. There were 2 different kinds of monkeys that we saw -- Capuchino and Howler monkeys. The monkeys were everywhere in the trees. It was so cute seeing a mother and baby monkey. My favorite picture that I took was the sloth sleeping in a tree. It was a small tree, and the sloth just blended in. I got pretty close to the sloth for the picture. The sloth was so cute and just hidden in the tree. It looked like it was a young sloth. I would highly recommend a tour through Your Lucky Tour. Because we had booked a private tour, we could move at our own pace, which was just perfect for us. Thank you, Maurice for a fantastic tour and thank you Eduardo for introducing us to him and hiring such a competent and knowledgeable guide.

Eduardo and his team -- a fabulous customized experience
We were two young adults and a retired couple, interested in the unique nature and Outdoor Experience in eastern Costa rica. We got a lot more than we planned for with eduerto our tour guide, Andy our driver and Joseph the boat operator. We didn't just go to the Nationsal National Park, but took a leisurely boat tour in the turtle canal looking at lizards, Cayman, sloths and the odd turtle. We stopped at a model Plantation that show cased all kinds of local staple foods as well as the obvious exports of cacao, coffee and bananas . We loved walking through the National Park on the well-kept trails and then back along a fabulous sandy beach with crashing waves . Loved the local handmade ice cream. Finally stopped for a beer at a local pub perched on a high point overlooking the city to enjoy the breeze. All this in only 6 hours! We highly recommend Eduerto and his team.

Family of 4 tours Puerto Limon
We had a great time on this tour. Eduardo and his driver met us with our two little kids (ages 4 & 7) at the port and whisked us off to our adventure. This option was much cheaper than the cruise line excursions; especially if you are looking for more of a private experience. The kids loved seeing all the wildlife on the canal. Highly recommend!

Book your excursion with Eduardo today!
We had a great day with Eduardo and Edgar. They were very knowledgeable and were a blast to have around. We started the day with the canal tour, then went to the Cacao/Coffee/Bandanna tour, followed by the national park, and finally we had lunch at the Red Snapper (food was phenomenal and a great view). They even stopped at a pharmacy to buy medicine for a family member that was sick and stayed behind on the cruise ship. All along the way they were great to point out wildlife and sights. I highly recommend booking your tour with Eduardo and Edgar

        Best tour ever
Eduardo was awesome and he put my family and I on a private tour with Deron. I cannot speak highly enough about the entire experience! We saw a sloth, basilisk lizards, and howler monkeys at the Turtuguero Canals! Then we learned about the native edible and medicinal plants in costa rica! We were allowed to try and pull the harvested bananas and eat a variety of bananas, cocoa plant and learn about the coffee beans. Then in Cahuita we saw more Sloths, a troop of capuchin monkeys, and toucans! We stopped at a restaurant overlooking Limon with the most beautiful view! We then headed to a cocoa store for samples and cocoa powder purchases! It was the best day ever! I never wanted to leave. It was a day from about 830am-430pm. It was perfect! Thank you Eduardo and Deron!

        Great Day 7 in 1 Tour..As Must
Where do I begin. We arrived on the MSC Divina at 8a. We booked the 7in1 tour which include a visit to a fruit stand, souvenir shop, Cahuita National Park, Coastal Drive, Tortuguero Canals, and Viewpoint of the city. Eduardo and #1 driver Andy were waiting for out outside the port area. We loaded off and headed to Cahuita as the majority of the cruise excursions were headed to the canal. At the fruit stand we sampled fresh bananas, mango, coconut and pineapple. Fresh coffee was also available. There is is nice souvenir stand there also. Before we arrived at the National Park, we stopped at a friend's home and go a tour of their yard learning about the flora/fauna. The park is free, but donations are requested. We walked through the jungle as saw sloths, howler monkeys, and lizards. After exiting the park, it was time for some fresh sorbet before heading to the canals. We arrived at the boat landing and hopped into our boat. There was no shortage of wildlife ranging from howler monkeys, sloths, lizards, caymen and crocodiles. We were on the canal for almost an hour. Next we worked our way back into town to the view point at the Red Snapper. Nice bar/restaurant. We then head back to the port. Total time was over 6hrs. We were treated like family and had a blast. We had a great day with Eduardo and newly promoted presidente driver Andy. Email communication was great, and you pay after the tour. This is a private tour and he does not cram the van. Highly recommend this tour if you are in Limon.

        Pura Vida
Nice day in the land of Pura Vida. Trip was right sized and right length. Guide and driver went out of their way to help us experience what is great about their country. Animal sightings, history and little local touches were what seperated this tour from the44 person ship tour. Oh and the sloths birds and howler monkeys were just as advertised. We have been to Costa Rica five times before and it never disappoints.

        Experience The Real Costa Rica
We had an amazing time on our 7 in 1 excursion! It's a unique experience, as you get to see several popular destinations, but also a stop at a local community to taste various plants fresh from their backyard! This is not something any other cruise passenger did. It was a memorable experience that we'll never forget!

Excellent guide for our group of 5
Excellent tour. Very knowledgeable and informative. So friendly and showed us what Costa Rica is really like. Price is fair and much better than a cruise ship bus trip

        An authentic experience!
I took a private tour with Eduardo from Your Lucky Tour through the Tortuguero Canal and Cahuita National Park. It was truly an authentic experience. I was able to view Sloths, Iguanas many types of birds and even Howler monkeys in the wild. It was a beautiful day and I really enjoyed learning about all the different types of plants that grow in Costa Rica. I even enjoyed some of the Costa rican cuisine which was a nice experience. We were on our own time and I never felt rushed yet we had plenty of time to return to the ship. I highly recommend this tour!

        Nice, but a bit crowded
Great park, but felt pretty crowded as we visited around Christmas holidays. Would be great to come here in the early morning or late afternoon. Saw sloth, Capuchin monkeys, raccoons. The beach runs parallel to the trail, could have probably taken a dip in the water, if we had more time. Guards check your bags at the entrance - do not bring any plastic bags, those are not allowed. You need to sign a book with your name/address and make a donation to enter the park. Restrooms available and there's a restaurant right outside the entrance (we did not eat there, though)

I did not find this combination on any of the listed tours but Edwardo Humphreys arranged it after I emailed my request. The cost was very reasonable because you have to drive far and on bad roads to get to the rainforest and then there is $60 per person entrance fee. The rainforest was interesting because of the exhibits and discussion of the research by lab person. Our rainforest guide was fine with exhibits but didn't really find too much to show us in the rain forest. Other people raved about the guides but really it's luck of the draw when you arrive. Did get some great shots of a sloth hanging out near the cable car deck. What was great was that our tour group was just us and another couple from the same celebrity cruise. So it was easier to interact and felt like a totally private tour. Edwardo spoke while his son drove the van that took us to the rainforest and the canal tour. At the end we decided agains the buffet lunch offered by the rainforest and Edwardo took us to an Italian restaurant with an amazing view of the city. If you want a great tour trust him to provide. It's cheaper to go to the rainforest closer to town and you will walk through with a guide showing you stuff. Total time was about 5-6 hours.

We visited the Veragua Rainforest Foundation during a TUI cruise around the Caribbean in January 2017. We found all the guides to be extremely informative about the flora and fauna in their estate. The cable car and walk to the waterfall was good fun. Food in the cafe was reasonable and the overall work of the foundation seems worth supporting.

Shame about the rain but it was a rainforest!

Based on the high quality reviews I decided to arrange directly with Your Lucky Tour via their website, where more tour options seem to be available. Email worked great for arranging this; Eduardo was responsive, accommodating, and clear. Francisco picked us up promptly and took us to our two amazing destinations of Veragua Park and Tortuguero Canal. These are the top two wildlife viewing options in the area, and are both north/northwest of the cruise port, which made it easy to stop at both places without excessive driving. The combination of these experiences was perfect for us, as Veragua provides many curated exhibits (snakes, frogs, butterflies, fascinating plants and trees...) plus the aerial tram ride, while the Tortuguero Canal provided abundant wildlife viewing out of captivity (saw a caiman, howler monkeys, multiple sloths, many heron varieties...). We were disappointed to see some trash along the canal, and you should know that it runs along houses and is near a shipping port, but the wildlife viewing was top notch. Along the drive we learned a great deal about Costa Rica and its people, discussion made better by the small group nature of the tour. The perfect day!
