Parque Nacional Cahuita has the largest system of Coral Reefs in Costa Rica, including 6 species of coral, a wide range of colorful tropical fishes and the occasional encounter of a harmless reef shark or sting ray. This beach has a horse shoe shape, with the entrance of the park at one end and beautiful Punta Cahuita at the other end. We start with a scenic 20 minutes boat ride to have two snorkeling sessions. Then we get drop off at the Punta to enjoy a nicely presented fruit and snacks break at the beach followed by a 1.5 hour/3.5 kms guided hike in this wonderful coastal forest : monkeys, sloths, birds, iguanas and other interesting encounters are common and complemented with great info from your guide. We will then have breakfast and drive to the Sloth Sanctuary where you will learn about them, their lives, nutrition and anatomy. In addition, a canoe tour through the channels of the Sanctuary where you will see the beautiful nature and animals. An unforgettable experience!

Volcanic crater and church 1/2 day
Very good tour guide, interesting but unfortunately it was too cloudy to see the craters. Church was very pretty and interesting

        Not enjoyable
We only did the tram which is a 10 minute trip up the side of a mountain. I have to say I was terrified the whole time because the wind was so strong. The ride was not at all enjoyable. We could see some of the gulf for the first minute, but then the rest of it was cloud cover. At the top it was very cold and windy and you could see absolutely nothing. Also, they made us get there early and then after we had to wait 50 minutes for the ride back to the hotel.

Bird, spider and snake spotting then some exhilarating zip wires with fabulous views to finish the morning.
Staring with a gentle walk across bridges in the cloud forest. Finding assorted birds, an orange kneed tarantula and a green pit viper. We then put on a helmet and a bit more kit and found ourselves flying over the forest on zip wires. Truth be told, we were a bit nervous about the latter but very well looked after by Didier, Bryan and the others. They were friendly professional and safe. Once off one wire we were straight into the next with minimal waiting. Great thing to do. Amazing views. Definitely recommend to all. A great morning. Thanks so much guys!

Incredible experience not to be missed
This experience was a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Monteverde. The hanging bridges tour was very interesting and our guide Joshua made it fun and helped us get some great photos. The zipwiring was incredible to be flying above the cloud forest. Beautiful views, fun experience and very well organized with professional guides and instructors. Thank you

Well run facility and friendly staff
Well run facility with safety gear in place. Friendly staff. Be prepared for a very wet day since it is a cloud forest. There was lots of wind and rain and sometimes the rain would hit my face pretty hard while zip lining. Have very warm and waterproof clothing. Bring a change of clothes for getting dry afterwards. The cloud forest is gorgeous. All of that rain makes for a lush forest. The bridge walk we also did was easier to see the flora and fauna (slower walking the bridges than the zip lines so easier to see details). Had fun overall but took a while to thaw :)

A wonderful excursion, especially if you have one day in SJ
Hector was awesome: knowledgeable, patient, and a great leader. He doesn’t d a great job talking about significant locations in San Jose. There also was a fun musical accompaniment to our tour. He was very talented . We had a fantastic time, including lunch.

Great guide, great bridges but meh tram
The hangling bridges were great. First with Alex as our guide. He was inspiring, knowledgeable and warm and showed us animals and plants we would otherwise not have noticed. We also went on the additional bridges on our own, which was also great. We had rain but stayed dry with ponchos and had pretty good visibility. After the walk, there was a tram. This was pointless. Either do just the bridges or add tram and zipline.

Do it, you won’t regret it
Almost didn’t go due to fear of the intense rapids - but oh boy I’m so glad I made myself go. You drive for a couple hours, end up at a cafe in someone’s house in the middle of nowhere - clearly a friend of the tour guides, where they make you a home cooked meal with the best coffee you’ve ever had in your life. You then continue onto the rapids, where they prepare you and then off you go ~20 miles down the river, only stopping halfway for a meal prepared by an indigenous tribe out of a handmade hut. Absolutely incredible. May be the highlight of my life.

        Most amazing zip line
The zip lining was amazing. Such a thrill and definitely the best place we have done this. Fantastic to be flying above the trees. We also did the canopy tour. Looking back I would have skipped this. We didn’t see v much and had already done hanging bridges in Arenal

The best cooking experience- highly recommend!
We had the best cooking experience with Destination Services It was like cooking in a family home together with family. Cindy and Dina were the best chefs who guided us through the whole process. They were warm, welcoming and funny! Vanessa not only translated for us but also cooked with us! Vadi was an expert driver! We highly recommend this experience! This is on a family farm!

        Great adrenaline filled fun
This is a fantastic adventure and not scary but warning to all - don’t go in the rain. It’s like needles hitting your face and ruins the fun! But the team were fun and helpful and what’s made you feel safe

Unforgettable Rainforest Adventure with Wild Nature!
The Wild Nature Experience was absolutely phenomenal! Exploring the rainforest and witnessing incredible wildlife up close, including sloths, crocodiles, toucans, and hummingbirds, was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The tour guide was outstanding—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the environment, which made the experience even more special. Everything was well-organized, and the tour exceeded all expectations. If you’re looking for an unforgettable journey into Costa Rica’s natural beauty, I highly recommend the Wild Nature Experience!

        Destintation Services, representative Julio
First thing first!!! Booking with costco is a must. We got our own private shuttle from and to the airport and waited no more than 5 minutes. We met an associate from ¨Destination Services¨who provided us information regarding excursion and never pushed the issues to purchase one. Once we arrived at Planet Hollywood, I contacted Julio who is the respresentative for Destintation Services in order to book an excursion. Julio, again with no obligation, no pressure provided us several excursions and ended up booking three of them, at Costco discount price and hassle free. Julio also arragned our shuttle back to the airport once we were ready to leave. Everyone was punctaul, informative, down-to-earth people and genuine. I definitely recommend booking through Costco, and if you book at Planet Hollywood in Costa Rica, you look for Julio.
