Pacuare River is now in the top 10 most beautiful river on the world, hopefully we will enjoy wildlife a nature forest. We are focus in have a private tour with especially service focusing in the environment of the river and great rapids. In every trip we have a Photographer taking pictures all the way down in the river, this is a additional service that we offer to our costumers, and is very important bring extra clothes for after the trip, the weather can change fast, we recommend fresh clothes, not rings, not earrings, etc.

      Very good experience
I went with my two teenager sons. We all loved the experience. The landscapes are awesome - among the most beautiful ones I've seen. It's a combination of New Zealand rivers and Amazonian forest. It's definitively worth visiting.

Rafting the Pacuare is a do not miss in Costa Rica. Beautiful. Pura Vida.

We went with Tico’s River Adventures as a small family owned business. Well maintained equipment, easy transportation, & excellent communication. They were very accommodating for the various physical abilities of people in our party.

Fabio, our guide, was the best of the best! He is extremely professional. Fabio was both super fun & extremely safe. He got the whole boat working as team. Fabio clearly delights in sharing his love of rafting, this River, & Costa Rica.

    Do this tour!

Rafting on the lower section of the Rio Pacuare with Tico's River Adventure was the cherry on top of our already amazing Costa Rica vacation. Owner Roberto Sr. was able to arrange a family experience for us with just a 14-hr warning! On the river we felt totally safe under the guidance of his trusted, experienced, and more than witty river guide Chalo (who by the way trained 80% of the other guides in his already long career). Meanwhile, Roberto Jr. took pictures and videos of us from his vantage point in the safety kayak.
Having completed the tour, we fully understand why the Rio Pacuare is in everyone's white water rafting top-5. The rapids are exciting, the surrounding mountains are lush green beyond belief, the waterfalls feeding the river are refreshing, and the insects and birds hovering above the river complete the sense of paradise.
We highly recommend Roberto and his team for facilitating your Pacuare rafting adventure.

Avid rafters/kayakers.newly retired, Roberto, owner/guide was beyond our greatest expectations. He & Alfonso made the trip exhilarating, humorous, historically & professionally informative. The 40 years he’s been rafting this river is clear. Not for the faint at heart but a real thrill.

Hello Roberto, thanks again for the impressive tour. I spent 25 days in Costa Rica: Pacific, Central Valley and the Caribbean. The Paquare River was my highlight of the trip. Ticoriver is completely recommended. We were very lucky with the water level, the weather and the fact that we were just two tourists with no family on the boat. So our honorable Capi Chalo (dearest greetings in the place) was able to take the most fun lines through the river rapids. Lunch (Tico Borrito) was also very tasty at the sandbar. It was a pleasure for us🫶

We did the 1 day rafting tour on the Rio Pacuare with Tico's River and it was AWESOME. The rafting was fun and intense and the scenery was gorgeous. We really felt safe with Tico's River. There were staff members in kayaks following us and we stayed grouped with the other rafts just in case. The equipment is in perfect condition. We had a great lunch afterward. Would 100% recommend this company for the tour.

We had a great experience on the Pacuare river. This is a locally-owned family operation. Alberto has been a river guide for 35 years so he knows the river very well. He guided us on the 18 miles section and shared a lot about the river, animals and people living along it. His son Roberto was our safety kayaker, also taking great pictures along the way. We stopped for lunch and the crew prepared a delicious buffet that was well needed after the good workout we had. Really happy about our choice.

what an excellent experience! i have been whitewater rafting dozens of times and all over the world, and while i can't say this was the most adrenaline fueled trip, it was still amazing. there were plenty of decent rapids and the scenery was breathtaking. Our guide, Fabio i believe it was, was a blast - so professional, but fun and friendly at the same time (i believe he has since relocated). the boat sweep and driver, who i believe is the owner) were also fantastic. 5 months later and i'm still talking about the lunch they made - all fresh fruits and vegetables prepared riverside while we waded around and watched the machaca fish devour the rinds of fruit and pits of avocados. overall the day went exactly as planned and we were delivered what was promised. if i return to the area, which i may soon, i will definitely take this trip again.

We LOVED our day on the Pacuare River with Tico's River Adventures! I made our reservation a few weeks ahead of time just by emailing with Roberto. He and his son, Roberto Jr., picked us up right on time at hour hotel. We picked up our guide Chalo along the way to the put-in, and we were the first ones on the river that morning. It was SO COOL to paddle without other raft boats all around. Chalo has been guiding since the 1980s, and he was absolutely amazing. We felt completely safe in his hands, and he is very nice and funny too. Roberto Jr. was our safety kayaker, but we thankfully did not need those services. He also took pictures and videos along the way that you can buy after if you want. The water was low when we went, but the rapids were still a good time. And Chalo's expertise meant we never got stuck in the shallow sections. The raft is an Apex, a very nice quality boat. The lifejackets, paddles, and helmets are exactly the same that I've had in the U.S. The river is absolutely gorgeous. Very little development along the riverside. We saw toucans and a monkey! We stopped on the river for lunch, which was a nice burrito spread and fresh guacamole. At the take-out there is a big room with showers to change. Remember your set of dry clothes for after! We left our belongings with Roberto Sr. in the van, and he stayed with the van the whole day. He was waiting for us at the end and then dropped us back at our hotel after. It was all easy and smooth. You should definitely go for it!

It was a unique and amazing experience! We were accompanied by Roberto and his son, and two more guides. At first, I had a lot of respect for the activity, but Robert’s years of experience and the control he has with the boat, make the fears disappear and only enjoy. It was about 4h in total, including a stop for a drink and a bite to eat (they turn the boat and make you lunch in a moment). We definitely recommend it 100%!

We loved everything about this exciting rafting trip! Owner, Roberto and his son (Also Roberto) warmly greeted us as we arrived. We packed into the van and headed out on the 45-minute drive to the starting point. On the way, we picked up Captain Chalo, who was an excellent guide. (A Costa Rican champion!) He made sure we had the very best time and shared interesting facts and history about the river. Plus, he's very funny! We always felt safe even on the wildest rapids. A quick stop about half-way for a very nice lunch and swim, and we were off again. Roberto was always around every bend on his kayak to snap fabulous photos & videos that were excellent! This tour was absolutely a highlight of our vacation! Highly recommend!!
