It was not just about food. It was about exploring & traveling around with local. We saw many places and good dig into the life of the locals. Amazing way to start exporting Kolkata or India if you like us just arrived in India.

Avila was a great storyteller and took us to authentic small places, including the metro(underground rail), local bus and rickshaw and stuck around to make sure we all got our Ubers. Food was great and the small lanes and backstreets of the cities fringes also. Highly recommend 😊

A fantastic experience for the whole family! We are from the US and having visited India before had always avoided street food and many outside places for fear of food poisoning and other issues. Avik completely relaxed all our fears. We did the tour with 2 young kids under 9 years old and were definitely a bit nervous about what to expect. However Avik took my son by the hand and off we went! He mixed in some famous street foods with stories and tours of off the beaten path neighborhoods that we never would have visited otherwise. We also hit some popular spots that were familiar to my Bengali in laws and Avik impressed even them! He really brought out the nostalgia from them! We have already referred several friends. This is a MUST DO for any Kolkata trip!

Great food tour! Avik was extremely informative and provided us with an authentic culinary experience at multiple ‘off-the beaten-track’ venues we would never have otherwise come across! It was also great to experience some local modalities of transport including the metro, bus and rickshaw giving a true taste of Kolkata culture not just limited to food. Avik was very knowledgable and shared lots of incredible insights into the history of the city and food with us, all whilst making us feel very comfortable on the tour. Fantastic food tour during the chaos of Durga Puja festival. Our guide Avik did a magnificent job navigating us through the busy streets by rickshaw, taxi & metro. Lots of delicious street food and opportunity to see parts of Kolkata that you would never see on your own. An unforgettable experience and highly recommended.
