    Excellent tour - highly recommend.
Hareesh was an excellent guide! The pace of the tour was just right and enjoyed learning about the history of the Mylapore neighborhood and the insights into the religious and cultural philosophies. The booking process was easy and straightforward. Thanks to Hareesh and the 5 Sense Walks teams for a wonderful and worthwhile experience. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Chennai!

Such a wonderful and enlightening tour! An absolute must
An absolute must if you are visiting Chennai. Our guide Srikrishnan was so informed and charming, he brought to life our tour and most importantly left us wanting more! We only had one day in Chennai, as we were just passing through - I cannot recommend this enough to get a sense of the foundations of the culture and history of Chennai and the south of India.

    Perfect walking tour in Chennai
This tour was perfect - our guide gave prior notice of arrival, was on time, was very informative without being boring. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Chennai. Our guide Nivi was very helpful even when the tour was over helping us book a ride to our next destination and giving many food recommendations :) Our filter coffee break was also v delicious! Chennai is most beautiful because of the people ❤️

    First time in Chennai
What an amazing tour! Went with husband and 2 kids (18 and 20) with Kannan and driver Anand Babu for a magical 4 hours of stories and the history, culture and customs of the sites on this itinerary. We learned so much - and much more than I could through a guide book. Highly recommended!

    Far beyond the expectation
The tour was very interesting. Kannan was very knowledgeable and available to reply all sort of questions. We had similar tour in the past, in other cities, but he was one of the best ever. He did not limit the explanations to basics and he also explained anedocts difficult to find in books. We also appreciated the extra coffe experience

A great tour with an amazing guide !
This was my first experience with a guided tour anywhere in the world. I have to say that it was an amazing experience. I can thoroughly recommend ‘5 senses tours’ from initial booking to the day of tour, it was a simple and clear process, but it was my guide Nivi who clinched the deal for me ! She was always professional and very empathetic. She has a knack of understanding what you want out of this tour and has a huge amount of knowledge about her subject. She guides you with a personal passion for the various temples, churches and prayer areas and is respectful and understanding with a good sense of humour too !

Phenomenal tour with a phenomenal tour guide Kannan !!
Went on this tour with Kannan Phenomenal. I really really enjoyed it beyond words. He was a great tour guide, very patient and knowledgeable, extremely accommodating and i cannot recommend this tour enough. He went out of his way to ensure I had all my questions answered and took a detour to show me some landmarks. If you have 1 day in chennai, take this tour it will certainly make your visit worthwhile.

I loved walking around the market place and the temples. Sathish, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable and kind and told interesting stories about the religions, buildings and origins of Chennai. Moreover, I really liked getting a taste of some local foods and drinks!

We are locals but wanted to explore the city's history with someone who has a good perspective on this. We were not disappointed. It was a morning well spent. Buildings and places which we would normally walk past have now come to life with the stories of history behind it.

What an incredible experience! We were fortunate to book the Georgetown walk on a free day and it tuned out to be a vetu enriching experience. Over 3 hours we walked through bazaars, colonial mansions, a museum, couple of churches including a quaint Armenian one. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable with a lovely sense of humour. We learnt so much about the arrival of the British in India and how the East India Company was so successful. We learnt about the evolution of the modern city of Chennai as well. Each landmark during the walk had an interesting story. Our guide was kind enough tk treat us to local delicacies in the food street. The samosa snack with potato fillings and milk drink lassi were phenomenal. At the the end of the walk we knew so much more about Chennai and India and had a new perspective ro appreciate this ancient country and its people.

We took the morning walk with Sathish and he is full of information on Chennai, its history, temples and life in general in the city. We had a lovely breakfast break and Sathish catered to our requirements and questions resulting in a longer tour than planned. Overall a fantastic walking tour!

The walk covered the Fort Saint George campus, heritage buildings in the nearby Georgetown locality and the fascinating Georgetown market. Satish gave a great overview of the history of the area through the centuries and some nice anecdotes about the locality including the spot which was bombed during WW1. The snack break at Murugan idli was delicious. The market area is fascinating. Probably a walk through one of the gullies could be included in the itinerary. But overall a great experience. Thanks Satish!

Very nice walk around the old parts of Chennai. Props for the guiding purchasing local delicacies for us (seems like that cost is build into the tour charge). Guide could do have a bit more info on some of the sites but absolutely worth it! Bring comfy shoes with you - you're in for a long evening walk!

Fantastic way to experience Chennai! Knowledgeable and attentive guide, range of sights (museum, historical buildings, market), and the snacks at the end were very nice. Road crossings were terrifying and pavement underfoot was bad in places but same as anywhere in the city. Would recommend this tour.

Brilliantly paced tour with an interesting, knowledgeable and very friendly guide (Satish). It was the highlight of our stay in Chennai as we learnt loads about it's history, religion and residents, all while being kept well-fed and refreshed (included in the tour price). Although it lasted 3-4 hours, there were sufficient breaks and time to sit in the shade so it wasn't too tiring.

The tour was very well organised! Everything was on time and our guide Mr.Satish made it very engaging. It was quite eye opening to know and experience the history and the culture of one part of the city I’ve called home for about 15 years ! Will recommend it.

This walking tour was a really great way to explore the city! Satish was a fantastic guide - he was very knowledgable and friendly and was able to answer all our questions and more. The tour takes you to interesting sights across George Town in the morning when they’re all nice and quiet. Satish also took us for a morning meal with delicious South Indian delicacies.
