Amazing experience for any horse lover!
My husband and I visited Rajputana Riding & Polo Club during my 50th birthday trip of a lifetime to India. Being an avid equestrian myself, I always try to go riding when we head somewhere exotic, and I knew that I just HAD to try to find somewhere that I could ride the beautiful & exotic Marwari horse. After doing my research online and via Tripadvisor, I was delighted to find that there was somewhere near Jaipur which had some very good reviews. Top of my list is knowing that where I am booking looks after their horses and, second to that, that we will also be safe and looked after. I loved the fact that we would be guided by an ex-Indian Army Captain and that we would be booking at an established riding and polo club – always a big tick from the off. Also that the ride started very early in the morning so the heat of the day would not affect the horses, so another big tick. I had lots of questions which I asked via Tripadvisor and all were answered swiftly and politely. I was given a mobile number for contact via WhatsApp when we were in India and this helped with a very easily arrival process. Our entire visit was wonderful. We were met on arrival by DP Singh, the owner, and he gave us refreshments and helped sort us out with riding boots and helmets. We were both assessed and taken to meet our horses. Both were STUNNING and beautifully kept. The tack was English so familiar and comfortable. We had a short riding assessment in the outdoor menage before heading out for a ride around the countryside and to the river’s edge for photos and a gallop. We were, indeed, accompanied all the way by our ex-Army Captain, and also the stable dog who decided she was going to accompany us for the whole ride! Closely followed also by a support vehicle with refreshments and also a bit of extra support for my husband who found the energetic Marwari a little testing for his limited riding abilities. After returning to the Club, we were given the privileged opportunity of having a ride on two of their Polo ponies and try our hand at the game itself! My husband, an avid Golfer, was a dab hand at Polo, completely showing me up with my weak wrists, but it was hilarious fun and what a great way to finish off the morning. Afterwards we were shown the other polo ponies and their plans for the future and then offered a wonderful home cooked breakfast. We were a little dubious about eating as we had managed to steer clear of the infamous ‘Delhi Belly’ on our trip by playing safe and only eating at the hotels, but we decided to take the risk and we are so glad we did! The lovely omelette set us both up for our long journey back to Dehli and our homebound flight, and we still managed to finish our trip with intact tummies! So I can highly recommend accepting the breakfast offer! Our trip to RRPC was one of the highlights of my holiday of a lifetime and I can highly recommend anyone to experience horse riding in India with the wonderful DP and his team!

      A must do in Jaipur
We did 3 trips in total with Tour de India while in Jaipur (morning cycle tour, evening walk and horse riding) and I would recommend anyone visiting Jaipur to book a tour with them. All 3 tours were perfect, easy to organise from the outset, friendly and enthusiastic tour guides who took real pride in showing a side of Jaipur we would not have otherwise seen. During the evening tour we tried block printing, watched various craftsmen at work, ate delicious food and explored interesting streets, markets and beautiful parts of the city. Thank you Tour de India for such special experiences!

      A sunrise to remember
I did the sunrise walk and yoga tour with Harsh and Shubum. Easily one of my favorite experiences. Just a 20 minute drive from downtown Jaipur, past a lake and a beautiful palace, you arrive in a peaceful nature preserve by a small village. Harsh meets you with his friend Shubum, carrying yoga mats, breakfast and water. After a beautiful hike where you meet a local who lives at a monkey god temple, see roosting peacocks in the trees, and explore an ancient, Harsh leads a beautiful yoga practice. Afterwards, you are served breakfast while looking over a beautiful view, prepared by Harsh’s sister. Delicious. Then you end by following a river to a lake, complete with crocodiles to look at (from a distance). Harsh has lots of insight and wisdom to share along the way. A special, unique and beautiful experience.

      A lovely evening in Jaipur!
We had a great time exploring Jaipur with Pranshu in the evening. He took us to really authentic places and explained the history of each area - would really recommend if you’re in Jaipur and want an original tour!

A great way to end the day
After a great morning bike ride experience with Le Tour De India (definitely check it out), I knew I wanted to have another tour with them. Since I got to see Jaipur as the sun rose, I only made sense to join this evening tour. Again, Himmet was my guide and he was amazing. I highly recommend this tour as it allows you to see local life, different craftsman at work and even try your hand at traditional block printing. Seeing Jaipur as the sun begins to set is not to be missed - especially when you do so while having a great time in this tour. Thanks again Himmet and hope to see you again the next time I'm in Jaipur.

Start your day the perfect way
This is an unlikely activity to be undertaking in an Indian city but it was brilliant. Our guide Himmat and his wing man and traffic manager Sameer looked after us brilliantly and we felt (and indeed were) totally safe for the whole 3 hours. We saw some excellent sites, ate some wonderful tasty food and were given an informative and - more importantly - interactive guide to stuff we were shown or which caught our eye. We were able to stop wherever we chose and take snaps. The yoga was such fun and the Hindu mass also very uplifting and all in all this was the perfect way to start the day. Any day!!

      Best tour ever in Jaipur!
The tour with Khush was the highlight of our stay in Jaipur! It was as if we hung out with a friend among the alleys of the bazaar. Khush is knowledgeable, friendly and an absolute pleasure to spend time with. The tour exceeded our expectations, and we left with an understanding of this city and Indian culture at a deeper level. Highly recommended- do not look any further!

If you only do one tour in Jaipur- make it this !
An incredible and interesting tour of Jaipur’s markets as the sun begins to go down. I’ve done many tours of Jaipur but this was by far one of my favourites. Khushal is knowledgeable & charismatic and so obviously well loved and respected in his local town of Jaipur. Really special tour- highly highly recommend

      Best Jaipur walking tour
I did the evening walking tour after having already done the bicycle tour in the morning with Le Tour de India - the combination of the two gives you the best and most complete impression of Jaipur. Pranshu was an amazing and knowledgeable guide, highly recommended.

Such a lovely way to spend an evening! Archit and Jori were so knowledgeable, it was a pleasure to spend the evening seeing the crafts and workshops of the city streets and eating food we would never have found ourselves. Would highly recommend.

      Great tour, highly recommended!
This was an excellent tour of Jaipur Old Town, taking in many of the sights, eating some delicious street food and generally experiencing the buzz of the place. The guides are friendly, knowledgeable and are focused on making sure you have a memorable time. These guys know the best street food and best places to visit. It’s a much better way to experience a Jaipur rather than trying to work it out for yourself.

      Enjoyable walk through colorful Jaipur
I greatly enjoyed the tour. We walked along the streets where Hindu statues are made, plus other streets where various crafts are made. There were wonderful rooftop views of Hawa Mahal and the City Palace, as well as the colorful streets around it. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you're into night photography. Even without the camera it's an enjoyable walk. The guide is very friendly, helpful, and informative.

I had the most amazing experience doing this cycling tour, it was worth the very early start. We met at 6.30 am & the tour guides took care to find bikes that were suitable & comfortable for us. We began by feeding the cows to give us 'good karma' for the day, we cycled onto Ajmeri gate just as the sun was rising & the street traders were setting out their spices. We were then treated to a delicious cup of masala chai before cycling through the bustling vegetable & flower market. We then joined in a morning session of laughter yoga in the park & were made to feel so welcome by the locals. But the highlight for me was joining in the morning worship in the Lord Krishna temple, an experience I will never forget. There were many more stops during our morning which made for one of the best experiences ever. Our guide was so enthusiastic & I learnt so much about the Rajasthani way of life. It was only my second morning in India but I am so glad I made the effort to join this tour, it is so much better than doing all the usual tourist sites & I leant so much. I went along on my own but this did not hamper my enjoyment at all as the other group members were very friendly, so if you are travelling alone, don't be afraid to go along, however, if you are in a group, make sure everyone goes as they will not be disappointed

This tour was awesome. We, that is a group of approximately 15 people, absolutely loved it. The tour included many amazing stops such as feeding the holy cows, sipping a lovely cup of tea at Sahu tea shop in the old city, visiting the colourful vegetable and flower market , attending a temple ceremony and enjoying a glass of delicious lassi. We also appreciated having such a wonderful and lovely guide, Umesh, who explained everything so well and who made sure we all felt comfortable. We were all very happy to have had him as our tour guide. Let me finish by saying that we can only very strongly recommend this tour to everyone!

This is a must do tour to see Jaipur waking up on a normal day. The tour starts early and with a stop to feed the sacred cows and a quick visit to a chai tea shop on the side of the road. This was a delicacy to many local celebrities of the city and is a good hit to start your bike ride.

The ride is fast and furious, but is required to see all the site before the city is over run with cars, Tuk tuks and rickshaws.

As part of the tour you will do laugh yoga, visit the Hindu temple for morning prayers and have breakfast samosas and natural yoghurt at the local street vendors.

You’ll never get a closer look Into the cultural life of ”the Pink City”. You won’t get the chance to interact as spontanesly and close with the locals through any other company -and most likely you wouldn’t participate in the buzzling traffic biking around as though you where a local.
Our bicycle tour skipper Umesh was absolutely brilliant, humouristic, knowledgeable and brought us to all from feeding the cows and laughing yoga, to an amazing Hindu temple prayer ceremony and so much more.
By now I’ve travelled two more weeks in India and nowhere have I had masala chai tea or lassi as good as what I had on this tour.

Extremely fun and educative activity -don’t miss it, it’s worth getting up early in the morning!

I was in two minds whether to do this as was quite tired from very long days travelling. But I am SO glad I did it- Definitely worth the early start. Omesh was AMAZING and a real asset. His upbeat, funny and welcoming attitude really made the experience. It was wonderful to cycle through the quite dark streets and see the (usually very busy) city wake up. We went to all the best spots for refreshments along the way- A famous chai shop (the best I tasted in the 3 months I was in India!), gorgeous lassi and samosa. We went through the incredible veg and flower markets (seeing women carrying huge, weighty bags on their heads). The morning temple visit was the most beautiful and uplifting experience. We were in the midst of everyone singing, rejoicing and smiling in their morning worship. Due to the temple ceremony deadline the tour has to keep a certain pace so it's not leisurely, but no extreme cycling (don't worry). This means you see so much in a relatively short time. The whole group were so happy after going on this and HIGHLY recommend.

This was easily my favourite experience during our Rajasthan travels!
When I first got to Jaipur and experienced the chaotic roads, I questioned whether cycling here was going to be a good idea... but the tour is managed so well, and it all takes places in the morning before the shops open at 11, meaning riding through the city is very pleasant.

The entire tour is planned perfectly - with such a brilliant variety of stops along the way. From a morning cup of chai, to yoga in the park and experiencing a hindu ceremony. There are also some elements of surprise that really make it special, so I wouldn't want to give too much away!
A special shout out to our guide Khush, who made the tour extra special with his energy, enthusiasm and knowledge - you can really tell he loves what he does and treats every tour as if he himself were seeing it with fresh eyes.
I'd thoroughly recommend this if you are in Jaipur!!

On my fourth trip to Jaipur, I decided to take the morning bike tour. I love cycling wherever I go - it's a great way to experience a city and I looked forward to experiencing Jaipur that way.

Though I've been to Jaipur many times before, nearly everything on the trip was new and unexpected for me. There was an excellent balance of time spent on the bike and on foot wandering the city, experiencing places like markets and temples. The tour was packed with fun and there was never a wasted second.

This should be on the top of your list for your activities in Jaipur. And if you are worried about cycling in Indian traffic, let me reassure you right away: The trip starts in the early morning when there is little or no traffic. It ramps up slowly along with your comfort level. The staff are excellent and helping you get through the traffic as well. (And in the end you will find that it feels very different riding in it than it looks from outside)

You don’t have to be a top cyclist, just follow the leader and be immersed in Jaipur. The educational element was imparted with huge enthusiasm by our guide who made this our outstanding memory of the city. We talked about all the things that you should avoid.....like religion, politics, arranged marriages and even the structure of the government medical system!
The laughing yoga that we participated in was brilliant and very funny (don’t tell the children/grandchildren)!
The sampling of teas and lassi gave us an understanding of Indian culture that was far greater than the food alone.
The market visit was an example of organised chaos....how do those ladies carry such weights on their heads..?.....one for our ladies to marvel at.
All in all a must do

I loved exploring Jaipur by bicycle. We started early at 6am. Well worth it! Umesh guided us along a unique tour of the city. We overlooked the city at sunrise on a hillside, drank delicious tea, ate wonderful fried foods. And burned those calories too! My wife is not a super confident cyclist, but she managed well among the city traffic. I'd say anyone that knows how to ride a bike can do this tour. Of our favorite adventures in India, this tour was second only to the Taj Mahal. Cycling through a city gives you a firsthand experience of life for the locals. One of my favorite parts of the tour was visiting the Jain temple. The drums were beating loudly, and the people were chanting louder! Everyone was so happy to see our tour guide; he is well respected among the community. And they were happy to see us tourists again after a long hiatus from the pandemic. I fully recommend going on a bike tour with Umesh.

To all the architects out there (and also the artists, the city-lovers, the historians, the storytellers, creators and makers of all kinds) I have a strong feeling that you will love Archit’s bicycle tour in Jaipur as much as I did. Designed to showcase a typical morning in the life of a local, you will: feed the (holy) cows, visit a haveli, drink chai before sunrise, cycle past civic architecture, walk through markets, dance, join a laughing yoga session, visit a temple, eat street food, and more, all while Archit colours each experience with folk stories and historic detail. At the end of the three hour tour, I walked away buzzing with a sense for Jaipur: it’s history, values and people. I wish there was a tour like this in every city across India. Let me also add that no one will try to sell you anything; you will be in the hands of a true guide. Enjoy!
