- grahamo6660 contributionsDon't Miss This One !Brilliant trip, taking in parts of Mumbai which some may opt to miss but in fact were well worth visiting. The laundry was extraordinary : we were taken down into it (as opposed to peering from the street above) and introduced by our guide to a man who had lived and worked there with his family for 40 years. The washing process had to be seen to be believed, likewise the number of families living and working there. We then visited the slum area called Dharavi which was a total eye-opener. Chaotic and huge but safe and we were guided throughout (both Dhobi Ghat and Dharavi) by Dhruvesh who actually lives in Dharavi with his family. He was a credit to the area. This was one of three trips we arranged in Mumbai with the aim of getting an overall view of the city, and we're highly glad we did. Well organised by Trip Advisor.Written 18 February 2025
- paul s0 contributionsGood way to understand Mumbai for a day.Vikrant was our guide and owner of the tour company. Very pleasant and his driver was good at dealing with traffic of Mumbai. We found Vikrant knowledgeable and started off tour with enthusiasm but midway he began to wane in his effort as was distracted by his phone calls and messages. Finished strong as took us to Dedar area for shopping in an interesting clothing store was fascinating store called Paaberi. Saw most of the highlights of Mumbai but not everything like St. Thomas church and surrounding commercial area.Written 10 February 2025

- LorraineB8580 contributionsAn oasis in Mumbai - a worthwhile tripA friend and I booked with ‘Get your Guide’ to do this trip and we had a great guide - Shuaib. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and spoke good English. The caves trip involved lots of walking up and down steps and was fascinating to find this site in the middle of a 100 km jungle, situated in Mumbai. Not really suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There is wildlife in the jungle and the park had other places to go see animals, but we didn’t do that. We then travelled by car, ferry and Tuc tuc to the Pagoda. We needed one of our passport numbers to get through security here which I thought was odd. It was a lovely visit, not too many people around, the grounds are beautiful and we even got to go inside the pagoda and meditate for 10 minutes. Inside is not that spectacular but that is the idea! There is a gift shop on way out and the the prices were very reasonable so I bought all my gifts for home in here. It was nice to browse without being hassled too. The ferry trip was interesting with foot passengers and motorbikes all packed in. An excellent day out away from the noise and smog of Mumbai city.Written 8 February 2025
- shahar s0 contributionsGood tour for Jewish history in MumbaiThis was a great chance to see the history of Jews in Mumbai from Bebe Israel synagogue to baghdadi synagogues to the Habas house. The guide and driver were great.Written 27 January 2025
- katiesC4739FS0 contributionsGreat tour!!Our group of four loved our tour with Viki! He was so knowledgeable, and fun, and made sure we had a lot of experiences like Mumbai locals - including taking a local train and trying vada pav! He also took tons of great photos of us at the Gateway of India, Taj Hotel, hanging gardens and Ikson temple. He was very flexible and geared the tour based on what we were interested in. The bus was also very comfortable - it was a great way to see a lot of the city and learn the history and culture. I would highly recommend!!Written 26 January 2025
- Sherpa171344414760 contributionsMumbai City tourIt was our first visit to Mumbai and India, and hiring this company was truly one of the best decisions we made! We were fortunate to have an incredible team of guides—Sameer, Harish, Rakesh, and Vikrant—each an expert in their respective areas. Harish and Rakesh, being locals, shared fascinating insights and details that only someone from the area could know. With Sameer, we explored Mumbai both during the day and at night, experiencing firsthand how the city never truly sleeps. One of the highlights was a local train ride and a visit to the bustling market, giving us a glimpse into the daily lives of the people. Harish guided us through the Elephanta Caves on our very first day in India. He shared captivating stories and patiently answered all our questions, making us feel less overwhelmed and more connected to the rich history and culture. Rakesh led us on a tour of Dharavi. As we walked through the area, it was evident how well-known and respected he is. He shared stories about the community’s resilience and resourcefulness, making the experience both humbling and eye-opening. We wouldn’t have dared to venture into Dharavi on our own, but with Rakesh, we felt safe. Vikrant made our visit to the Kanheri Caves and the Golden Pagoda unforgettable. His passion for his work was evident in every story he told, and his ability to bring history to life left us with a deep appreciation for the places we visited. After the Kanheri Caves, we asked him to recommend a spot for a traditional lunch. Not only did he take us to an excellent restaurant, but he also turned the meal into another cultural adventure. He helped us choose authentic dishes and even arranged for us to watch the kitchen staff preparing the food—it was such a unique and delightful experience! Looking back, we can confidently say that our visit to Mumbai wouldn’t have been the same without this amazing team. They went above and beyond to make our trip memorable, ensuring everything—from the itinerary and timing to transportation and tickets—was perfectly planned. All we had to do was enjoy the experience. A heartfelt thanks to Sameer, Harish, Rakesh, and Vikrant for making our trip to Mumbai so special. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to truly experience the heart and soul of the city!Written 22 January 2025

Did the tour on my first day in Mumbai, visited many of the big highlights. A great way to start my visit. Sameer, the guide, is a really nice guy to be around and knowledgeable about Indian culture and the park. He was responsive and it was easy to communicate via the cellphone app WhatsApp (available on Android and iPhone). The caves are amazing with lots of history and we even managed to find a peaceful place to enjoy nature by ourselves in the middle of the extremely busy/noisy Mumbai.
Only hotels on the east side of Mumbai are eligible for no additional pick up fees despite the pick up locations shown by tripadvisor/viator. You'll also take public transport within the park for the 20-min drive from the entrance to the caves trailhead; no big deal as these are national park buses/vans.
The trail has some moderate climbs and steps but several spots to take breaks with shade, including the caves which are 10-20 F cooler.
We got picked up at 9am and were done by 12:30pm. We walked fairly quickly and were the only 2 people on the tour. We didn't do the Jogeshwari Caves (outside the national park) because it was a holiday and apparently those caves were closed.

This trip was SO worth the cost!! We had a 20hr layover and Vikrant was SO accommodating for us. He picked us up from the airport, took to a great breakfast spot then we headed to the caves where we got amazing pictures (he's a great photographer) and had wonderfully detailed stories. He was helpful if we needed help hiking up and steep sides but it was very manageable for us three. Then we went for a local bus ride which was cool to experience local means of travel. Then we got into the Mumbai part of the tour where we explored so many spots, including a train ride to experience the most used mode of transportation in Mumbai. We had an amazing lunch stop and then we kept exploring. We got to see an amazing Hindu Temple and service and felt so welcomed. Our flight was really late (2am) so Vikrant helped us arrange to keep the car an extra 5 hours to explore more. We were exhausted after traveling for 2wks but he was very kind and helpful and made the extra excursions worth it!! It was wonderful and I'd highly highly recommend!!
Note: I tried to upload pictures but the website wasn't working but it was amazing!

We had a great time with Vikrant.
We visited Kanheri Caves with a very good explanation of the history and important points to know and we finish the Kanheri caves with an amazing point of view.
We then went on to visit other caves in his car, all accompanied by a good lunch and tea as we like them here in India.
It was a wonderful experience.

The park and the caves were more than I expected. Mr. Sameer introduced Mumbai and the caves along the way. Very professional. I was able to take my time enjoying the beautiful park and Kanheri caves. He gave great tips for what to look for and to listen in the caves and in the park. Deers, many cute monkeys and hawks were spotted. The tour ended with Mandapeshwar Caves. A great experience you must have when you visit Mumbai.
