Highly recommend!! This tour will show you the real Mumbai, in a way you could never imagine !!
I’m a local from Mumbai but living in France for the past 7 years. This time I was back home visiting with my French boyfriend and I wanted to show him around our insane city that is Mumbai! Luckily I found this tour online and immediately knew it was the perfect way to get him to see how the city wakes up and the hustle begins! Although I hardly knew HOW cool the experience would turn out to be. Thanks to no footprints and especially our amazing guide Adi, we were able to see Mumbai through a lens that even locals haven’t experienced. We started off the tour early at 5am, a private driver coming to pick us up at our hotel. The first spot was the fishing docks, the most insane experience you’ll ever live. Then we went through other spots like the newspaper sorting center, fruit and veggie market ending up in the flower market. This tour showed us the duality of Mumbai : how traditional ways blend into a modern economy. We saw the back end workings of Mumbai that would normally be invisible for tourists and that’s what makes this tour so great, it shows you what you won’t usually have the chance to see. Our guide Adi was really exceptional too. At each spot he provided clear details and precious pieces of information all whilst guiding us and ensuring that we felt comfortable walking through the crowds. He even took several pictures videos for us. He then went the extra mile and sent us additional information by message on questions that we had asked. He’s just the best, and this tour is a definite must do when in Mumbai (even if you’re a local ;)) highly recommend!!!

          Loved it, would recommend
The entire tour was so much fun! Educational yet also engaging and interesting - Tvishi from No Footprints sandwiched history, geography, and politics between pop culture trivia and jokes to ensure we pay rapt attention! It was eye opening, because I haven't visited having lived in this city for almost 3 decades. Lots to learn, pet many cute cats, saw beautiful plants, interacted with warm locals, would definitely recommend this! It's worth getting up early for and is something everybody can do - it's not too tiring or inaccessible in that sense. Glad I went!

          Mumbai Dawn
A truly wonderful guided tour with Meherban Irani and excellent driver to the Dawn Markets of Mumbai. We experienced such amazing sights and sounds at the harbour fish market, flower and fruit markets accompanied by such interesting and informative comments by Meherban who is clearly a very knowledgable and engaging guide. We didn't expect to taste, fruits and see flowers being prepared for market and have a jasmine bracelet made. In addition we got an insight into the history of trade in the city and its people. A diverse and fascinating tour, highly recommended!

          Wonderfully raw early morning experience
Adi was absolutely great! Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Experiencing the key markets of Mumbai is an essential trip and an experience you’ll never forget. I really suffer from the heat, so a whistle stop walk round different locations with an air-conditioned Taxi to jump into between stops was ideal! We started off at Sassoon Dock just before dawn, piles of Bombay duck and shrimp, Indian salmon and even manta rays, the smell of the fresh fish was amazing, the smell of the drying fish close by was not so amazing! We then travelled through various other markets around the city as we worked from the south to the north, making carefully curated walks along the way. The traffic wasn’t too bad so we made good time and even had a chance to visit a large cricket ground, where there were some impressive skills on display in addition to a fine young lady and gentlemen that gave amazing displays of strength and stamina climbing a pole and doing incredible feats on a rope! Apologies I have forgotten the name of the discipline. My driver stopped at a viewing point for the suspension bridge. Thank you Adi for a wonderful experience that I will never forget.

          Phenomenal Mumbai by Dawn Tour
Nimisha is an excellent guide! She is knowledgeable, easy-going and enjoyable to be around. I’m a young woman and was travelling solo in Mumbai. She gave me great tips for and also recommendations for the rest of my travels. Anyone would enjoy seeing Mumbai with Nimisha as a solo traveler or as a group booking.

Amazing trip with Batul to the fish market and flower market
The fish market at dawn is quite an experience - busy, noisy, full of color and life. And a little smelly! From there to the flower market via newspaper sorting and the public laundry was an incredible insight into the workings of Mumbai. Batul is a wonderful guide, very informative and a lovely person to spend a few hours with early on the morning. Definitely worth doing.

Fascinating visit to the Spice Market with Batul
Really interesting visit to the Spice Market with Batul, who was so knowledgeable about the uses of the various spices and the practices of choosing, buying, roasting and grinding the spices for each family. A great experience.

Amazing Morning Trip in Mumbai. You have to go if you have time. Never thought the fish market was this intense. My favorite was the flower market with rows of Mary Golds.

          Only Tourists Around
Having already completed 'Highlights of Mumbai' with guide Meherban Irani, we were delighted to find out that he was also to be our guide for 'The Original Mumbai by Dawn'. The early morning alarm clock call is definitely worth it ; we experienced sights and sounds that would have been impossible without a guide. Early morning, before dawn, Mumbai is such a different city - we seemed to be the only tourists around. Every stop was worthwhile and completely immersive - you get right in on the action! We would fully recommend this tour if you want to do more than scratch the surface of Mumbai - although you might find you slightly smell of fish when you get back! Thanks so much Meherban, it was lovely to meet you. Celia and David.

          Superb Start to Mumbai
Thanks so our guide Meherban Irani, we had an excellent introduction to Mumbai . If time is limited, this is a superb way to see the main sights of the city and to begin to understand it. You see so much in the time you have but you never feel rushed - there's plenty of time to look, take photos and ask questions. This was a great way to start exploring Mumbai. Thank you Meherban!

KP with No Footprints was my tour guide and truly enhanced my experience with his wonderful personality. His English was easy to understand, which can really impact what you are able to take away from a tour. He was funny and knowledgeable, and I genuinely enjoyed his company. He met me at the hotel to start and ensured I returned safely in an appropriate amount of time. Our driver took us efficiently from one food stop to the next so we were able to try food in different areas of Mumbai. The flavors were fantastic and watching the preparation of these things was fascinating. I highly recommend this tour to get a strong sense of the culinary culture of Mumbai and to witness the social interaction of this community in the evenings surrounding these meals on the go. My best advice is to go hungry and to try everything! Thank you KP!

We recently embarked on a street food tour in Bombay with high hopes of discovering new culinary delights. Our experience was a mixed bag, to say the least. The two guides leading the tour, Namrata and Aparna, were undoubtedly knowledgeable, pleasant, and enthusiastic. They shared interesting insights about the city's food culture, which we greatly appreciated.

However, when it came to the food itself, we left feeling underwhelmed. The tour suggested 6 dishes in 6 locations, but one of them was served out of the back of a car. While the food was decent, we couldn't help but feel that we've had similar quality for less money in other parts of the city.

The most disappointing aspect of the tour was its failure to showcase the true diversity of Bombay's street food scene. We expected to sample a wide range of dishes, but the selection was quite limited. We couldn't help but notice that there were so many more street food options available in the city that we missed out on.

For those who have already explored the streets of India, this tour might not offer anything new or exciting. We were hoping for a unique experience and a chance to savor flavors we hadn't encountered before, but that expectation was not met.

In summary, the guides were the highlight of our experience, but the food tour itself fell short of our expectations. Especially considering the extortionate cost.

We recommend looking for other options that offer a more diverse and authentic Bombay street food experience.

Adi took us on a whirlwind tour around Mumbai's best street food spots. It can be a bit daunting to know which street vendors to try so this was the perfect way to sample the best that this incredible, bustling city has to offer. And morsels of deliciousness sampled on the street is a great way to know the history of food to boot! Highlights were the dosas crisped on enormous griddles and filled with chutneys, crunchy puris, and the stop at the Irani which really evoked something of the old city. Finally a stop at the beach and we were stuffed and filled with wonderful information. Adi was our guide for two tours with No Footprints and both were excellent. You couldn't have a better ambassador for the city! A more affable, knowledgable guide would be hard to find. Highly recommend.

Not only was the food amazing, it was also a great way to learn more about the history of the city, diversity of cultures and see different parts of the town. I would highly recommend this, but make sure you show up hungry because there will be plenty of interesting new foods for you to try!

Tvishi took us on a wonderful 3-hour street food tour of south Mumbai, which included 6-7 stops at places that are popular with locals, mostly stalls and stands. The food was delicious at each and every locale and it was fun to stand in line with Mumbai commuters, sampling everything from snacks to dosas and desserts (yum, mango kulfi!). Tvishi and the driver picked us up at the hotel and dropped us back. She was full of information about the history and background of the foods, the eateries and Mumbai itself. The places selected were also chosen for their hygienic food preparation. It was perfect and we would highly recommend this tour if you have a free evening (we went from 5-8 pm, which was perfect) in Mumbai.

My wife & I decided to do something unusual for our Anniversary and wanted to explore the food of our own city, Mumbai, as tourists. We asked NFP to customize a private tour for just the two of us, and they came up with an experience that absolutely bowled us over- the Legends of SoBo Food Walk. From Mumbai's 1st restaurant, to the 'white' vada pav, to the legendary Kyani Café, while stopping to have Bhel with no puffed rice, sampling cheese khari from Paris Bakery, and having traditional Parsi sweets, it was 'sensational'. Krupesh, was delightful and had so much information to share. We loved that we had so many discussions along the way about the Bombay of the Raj, Coloniality, original communities of Mumbai and obviously our favourite foods, that we almost did not realise how much we had walked. We loved everything about the tour, and cannot wait to go on another one with them. Special shout out to Krupesh, and Harshvardhan - you guys are legends ! Please keep this up.

Our experience with the Khau Gully Food Tour was amazing! Our guide, Krupesh, was honestly so passionate and kind. He knew everything from the history of the city to the people running stalls and shops by name. I would 100% recommend this tour for foreigners who are looking for a good tour in English. In addition the food was all safe for foreigners and was delicious!

This was the tour I was looking forward the most on the whole trip. I love the food of India and have spent many hours watching all the different types of street food that is made in India, so was very much looking forward to experiencing it. Aparna was our guide and new immediately we were going to be a great fit as she took special care of the kids and got us all excited about what we were going to do.

I had originally planned to find these places by myself and try them out, but would absolutely recommend the tour. There’s no way you’d be able to cover the ground, order what you want and really understand what you’re eating and it’s importance in the surroundings and whats going on if you don’t. Aparna was also excellent at showing us why the places she picked were clean and hygienic which helped us pick restaurants for the rest of the trip.

We got to try all the classics including Pav Bhaji (wow), Dosa and Vada Pav. They were absolutely amazing. The trip to the Parsi café was very fun and learning the history with Aparna was very informative. The short look at Giragon Chowpatty was very memorable and the photo’s she helped us with are already on the walls.

Highly recommended, see it all, eat it all, safely and no concerns of getting ill. Brilliant.
