    What to Expect
Discover the fashion capital of India with this absorbing tour of Mumbai's trendiest districts, boutiques and showrooms, and its renowned textile industry.

India has a rich history of textile production, and the country's weaving styles are world-renowned. Silk and cotton were woven into various designs and motifs, with each region developing its own distinct style and technique.

Western clothing made its foray into Indian society at the time of the British Raj, and was quickly adopted by many Indian professionals. By the turn of the 21st century, both Western and traditional Indian styles had intermingled to create something unique.

On this tour you'll learn about the history and development of India's fashions and weaving techniques, with visits to the showrooms and boutiques of many leading designers. You'll discover how Indian styles have influenced, and been influenced by, global fashion. You'll learn about the roles played in the industry by the government and foreign investors. Of course you'll also have the opportunity to shop!

    Insightful, Thoughtful, must do tour
Today we toured the Dharavi Slums with our incredible guide Torab. He provided a very in-depth tour of Dharavi. He personally lives in and grew up in Dharavi. He took us through the different industrial areas, residential areas and Main Street markets. He was incredibly knowledgeable and showed the reality of this city, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit. I would highly recommend going on this tour with Magic Tours of Mumbai. It is a not for profit organization that hires college students who live in Dharavi part time, to help them afford school. Definitely do this tour!!

A wonderful trip to the stunningly beautiful Taj Mahal
India Magic has done a thoughtful job of planning this day trip to the Taj Mahal and Agra from Mumbai. They are extremely responsive to emails both before and during the tour and are willing to make changes to the itinerary at the request of the traveler. As a solo woman traveler I am always concerned about safety but the India Magic team make sure that you feel looked after at all times. The drivers are pleasant and helpful and my guide in Agra, Faraz, did a fantastic job. He accommodated my request to skip lunch and shopping so that I would be able to spend more time at the Taj and the Agra Fort. As an added bonus he is a great photographer and I now have pictures with me in them - which is always a problem for a solo traveler. It is a very long day (almost 20 hours in my case from the time I woke up to the time I returned to my hotel) but it is well worth it to see these fabulous places. Be sure to bring plenty of snacks to keep your energy up and take every opportunity to buy and drink water. I was pleased and surprised at how easy it was to get around using the domestic airports and airlines in Mumbai and Delhi. The facilities and service are on par with U.S. airlines and airports. I will have no hesitation traveling this way in the future.

    Golden triangle: Delhi Agra Jaipur
I did a Monday thru Sunday tour organized by Priyanka in a very short period of time. I did upgrade the hotels and recommend it if you can. Touring in India can wear you out and you would want to stay somewhere where you can let the hustle and bustle behind and relax in comfort. I had 5 guides in total, but my favorites were Ms Nithi in Jaipur (two days) , Ms Punam in New Delhi (one day) and Vijay the student guide in Old Delhi (one day). In Delhi you’d want to start in old Delhi and get the chaos out of the way first. Get ready for sensory overload. It was nice to have a young guide since you can draw from their energy to cope with all you will see. The next day I met Ms Punam, whom from the moment we got on the car started telling me about the history of India and Delhi, very nice lady with a nice sense of humor. Great tour guide. After two days in Delhi my driver for the week Sushil (more to come on him) drove me to Agra, which is not a nice city, so it’s a pity such marvel as the Taj Mahal is located in such a place, but that’s the way it is. I had another tour guide there for sunset and sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal. The driver and I then drove to Jaipur with a stop in Sikri, where I met another guide for about one hour or so. In Jaipur I met Ms Nithi, my Favorite guide of the tour. I guess because we spent two days together, but she was knowledgeable, witty and very, very charming. She’s a petite woman, but like they say, fine perfume comes in small bottles. Great tour guide. Jaipur was my favorite of all the places I visited. I must now talk about my driver Mr Sushil. What a nice man he was. Polite, well mannered, always on time and a good guide himself. He took me to a village between Agra and Jaipur and even though I was apprehensive at first, he encouraged me to follow him to walk around the village and visit a place where they were having some kind of religious congregation. He kept telling me “this is the real India”. A very nice and careful driver. Overall is was very happy with the tour and how it was operated. I could have done without the visit to the places where they hope you can buy local stuff. Beware of the ones where they offer you beer. They surely know how to make you feel at ease so you can open your wallet. I did. But hey, that’s part of the business. You can always say no😉

    Must do while in Mumbai
Thank you to Jenny for a fantastic afternoon! We were very welcomed into Jenny’s home for an afternoon of cookery, learning to make 5 different vegetarian dishes. Jenny took the time to talk us through the dishes and to answer all our questions. It was very interesting to learn about Jenny’s life and background. Would definitely recommend it while visiting Mumbai!

    nice tour
Guide good but not extraordinary. Had the feeling he wasn't much interested in doing the tour. Said it was 8 hours and only lasted 3 hours. Said it was because of the traffic. Think he got a kick back from the things I bought at a store - not a very good experience. Somewhat of a rip off.

Great Organized Hand on Curry Experience !!!!
We were a group of 4 and had a wonderful interactive cooking experience with Jenny Jenny is super organized and lovely lady. We requested some particular dishes which Jenny duly obliged. Jenny and her family were very welcoming in their home and shared some personal insight into their cooking skills. We loved our lesson and have new insight into the wonders of Jennys region of Indian cooking. We requested to learn how to make Parantha which Jennys house helper demonstrated with skill and ease. Another skill for us to take home and attempt to master lol. All in all we had a excellent experience. Jenny was a delight and her family were friendly and welcoming. The cooking was easy , not complicated and Jenny supplied the recipes and very kindly gave us all the necessary spices to start us off at home with our new found culinary expertise. I would highly recommend Jennys Hand on Curry experience. Her communication prior was excellent , she also arranged transportation to and from her home. All in all a great authentic happy experience Thanks Jenny Fabulous Cooking

    Great way to see Mumbai
We took the private Mumbai city tour which included a visit to Dharavi Slum, India's largest. We were picked up on time from our hotel. Driver and guide were both friendly and courteous and the car was clean and appeared in good working order. This was great way to see some of Mumbai's highlights and avoid dealing with traffic and getting lost. It is a big city with somewhat limited public transportation. While all the sites we visited were enjoyable, our 45 minute walk through the Dharavi slum was the highlight and very informative. Our guide, who said he lives in the slum, walked with us through different sections while explaining live in the slum. Although the living and working conditions are "challenging," it was not depressing and people seemed happy going about their lives. We debated about visiting the slum but are happy we did. You will need to decide for yourself. All in all a great day!

Magic Tours Continues to be Excellent
This is my second review of Magic Tours. We go back to them every year for our travels in India. We have multi-day tours each year and without fail they are all absolutely excellent. The drivers, guides, hotels chosen, schedule, all outstanding. The cars are always very comfortable as well. If you want a high quality tour experience at a reasonable cost, get in touch with Magic. Deepa, Ranjeet, and Shobna are top notch. A brief example. On this particular trip I had a family member at home who is ailing and I needed to be in constant contact (by cell) with the US. One of the places Magic had booked was an absolutely lovely resort that would have been perfect had the cell tower in the area conked out the day before. I was able to get an email to Ranjeet. He was back to me (using a landline at the resort) immediately, I mean within minutes. He moved us to another lovely place, but in town, where cell service was available. I can't say enough about this excellent company which also has a social conscience, having a strong involvement in many agencies that aid the less fortunate in India. I am already planning our trip with them next year!

    Outstanding tour
We did the Mumbai local and our guide was Manisha. She was outstanding as a guide, very knowledgable and friendly. We went to all the sites we wanted to and experienced a train ride as well. Manisha is a credit to the company and we wish her well in her studies. I would highly recommend Magic Tours given their professionalism and knowledge. Thank you Manisha.

    Safe and Reliable Driver
We booked tours and transport for the Golden Triangle. The price was very affordable. Thank you for providing the transport and tours from Jaipur to Delhi. We enjoyed the tours and broadened our knowledge and experiences of beautiful India. I want to commend the driver Dharamvir for transporting us safely throughout. We appreciate his calm and friendly disposition giving us space to enjoy the road trips in a relaxed and nonintrusive manner . He was also very flexible wrt us making changes to the programme and assisting with restaurant recommendations etc. The guides were good but we especially enjoyed the services of our guide in Agra who was highly knowledgeable and did not just ramble on.
