Fabulous day in Mumbai and the Elephanta Caves

Elephanta Caves are a must do! Absolutely spectacular and our guide, Anand Sharma, was so knowledgeable and happy to share information with us. He coordinated with the driver and our transportation to and from the island and around the city was seamless. For lunch we went, at Anand’s recommendation, to a tiny restaurant serving the best Bombay sandwiches in the city. They were absolutely delicious along with the chai! Anand has a deep wealth of knowledge and is an excellent guide. Just wish we could have spent more time with him.

Elephanta caves and city tour with Annand

The cave tour. Anand, our guide had a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the history of the caves which he presented asan entertaining discourse. Questions were welcomed and answered expertly. There was nothing we requested that was too much trouble for him.
