What a Brilliant way to see and experience the sights of Mumbai. Akshay our guide was excellent, his English was very good and he took the time to explain the various sights with the right amount of information. His main aim was to make sure we saw all the sights on the itinerary plus any others that we wanted to see. He even got us invited into a locals house by the Banganga Tank to see how they lived. They were very friendly and an interesting experience (Family of 15). The driver we had was very safe and accommodating as well.
I certainly would recommend Amaze Tours and this one if you want to see and experience Mumbai with guide that can take you to places large tours can not. Will Certainly use Amaze again if in Mumbai.

Picked up on time by my guide for the day Ganesh. Comfortable air conditioned car and a great driver. Ganesh was most informative and added a little humour here and there which made for a relaxing time. We saw many of the main points of interest and at no time was I rushed to move to the next point. Ganesh spoke excellent English throughout all his commentary. Would thoroughly recommend this tour but if you wish to visit the Prince of Wales Museum, I would suggest take at least half a day by yourself as it is a truly amazing experience. Well done GANESH and AMAZE TOURS.

Our lovely driver,Sanjay, and very friendly guide,Danesh, met us at our hotel and took us on a fabulous 6 hour tour of Mumbai. We visited many of the City's major attractions, the Gate of India, the Central Railway station, where 2.5 million passengers pass thru every working day; Crawford Market, the fascinating outdoor laundry, Ghandi's house/ museum and so much more. Danesh displayed not only a great depth of local and historic knowledge but also provided a helpful insight into modern India and it's society. We had not been to Mumbai for 30 years and it was wonderful for us that Danesh was able to paint a fantastic insight to the city's change and progress in that time. We would highly recommend 'Amaze Tours'for organising the tour and, can't rate Danesh and Sanjay highly enough for delivering a wonderful day. Excellent.

Punctual pick up at port and very friendly knowledgeable guide (Daz) Daz met us at the port entrance and then called the driver who was with us in minutes. Friendly good driver with nice air conditioned car. Daz then explained all the places we were going to visit and the sort of schedule for the day. At every stop he would ensure that we had seen and understood everything and we were happy before moving on. The inside laundry tour was excellent. The lunch stop was also good and again we were looked after with authentic food. Overall we would highly recommend this tour you get to see lots with a knowledgeable guide and a great day was had by all. Easy port drop off at the end of the day. Thanks

I did the private tour including a visit to Elephanta Caves.
When I visited Mumbai I did two different private city tours, both tours were great. If I would summarize the difference I’d say the other tour was a bit better organized, both guide and driver met me at the hotel (here just the driver), the other tour has water in the car and the guide wore a shirt from the company. I also had a bit better personal connection with the other guide but that’s personal preference and Rameez was always friendly as well.
However this tour gave the better informational value. I visited a few spots again with this tour but Rameez added a ton of additional information about each destination that was not given before. So in the end I might have had the nicer personal chats with the other guide but here I got much more city knowledge, you decide what’s more important.
Rameez also made some adjustments to the tour so we don’t visit all the same destinations again. Most memorable was visiting a temple and we were lucky enough to catch a ceremony in exactly the right time so we could experience it, which was something I won’t forget.
One recommendation I have is cool it with the upsell. Each tour tried to sell me additional tours from them, some kept bringing it up too often. Here I think it was okay not too bothersome but borderline.
On the Elephanta caves there is a different local guide which is required. It’s a 1 hour boat trip and I was accompanied by our patient driver who then sat at the docks waiting for me to accompany me back and then drive me to the hotel, so thank you Mr. Surrender for your patience.
Elephanta caves were great, lots of information given here as well. My guide explained all different forms of Shiva to me (it was almost too much information to digest). It was great, I haven’t seen anyone else getting such a detailed explanation. The only small issue that clouded the experience a bit was at the end when I was asked if I want to purchase anything I declined and I felt the atmosphere cool down a bit and the guide was then just rushing me off the island although I made sure to tip him, that was a bit of a sad end to an overall great tour.
All in all if you want to visit many of the local attractions (train station, hanging gardens, laundry etc) and want to learn a lot from Rameez I fully recommend this tour and the guide.

A truly comprehensive and enjoyable tour of Mumbai. Our guide Alam Taught us some amazing facts about Mumbai’s history and have us an invaluable insight into the city’s different religions. Although there are COVID restrictions in place, we were able to see everything we wanted to see. Alam even went to the effort of taking us to additional sites. He was an easy man to get along with and we had a lot of laughs along the way.
The car was immaculately clean and air conditioned. We also had water provided for us, as well as hand sanitizer. Both Alam and the driver wore masks throughout, and the restaurant we went to had amazing food and impeccable hygiene standards. I would recommend this tour to anyone and if I revisit Mumbai I Will do the tour again myself.

Dec 2023 • Family
Our family visited Mumbai at the end of our Celebrity Cruise in December and booked this tour with Amaze Tours on the day we disembarked from the ship. The tour was, by all accounts fantastic. Every family member had a great experience. After exiting the Green Gate at the port we were met by the Amaze representative who was there early to greet us. The vehicle was easily able to accommodate our family of five adults with luggage - a 12-passenger tour bus. Pawan (stage name Maze) was an excellent guide and packed a lot of highlights into the 4 hours we requested. He had a great itinerary planned, but was also very flexible and gave us multiple choices to consider. The tour fee included all expenses - Pawan covered entry tickets, a train ride, and even bought us Vada Pav and tea from a shop near the train station. The driver was excellent and very capable in the Mumbai traffic. We were very pleased that when our tour ended, our driver took us all the way to the airport. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Amaze Tours again!

Our hotel was quite far away, and Amaze Tours was upfront with the extra 1000 rupees this would cost for pickup... Well worth it for the drive.
They also let us add another couple to the tour last minute so they were very accommodating.
Our tour guide was Oves, and he had excellent knowledge about all the stops and went above and beyond. We stopped at the open air laundry, and we were blown away by the view of it. We happened to say "would be neat to go on there" and he said "come on" he talked to the manager, and they toured us through the whole facility.
He gave us a heads up when anyone was trying to sell us anything, what was a good price for it or if the prices at that place are already fair.
All the other stops were excellent. Stops included the train station, the gateway of India, Ghandi museum, and the local market, and a few gardens. Other landmarks were pointed out along the drive. Oves was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. Should I ever want to do another tour of Mumbai, it will be through Oves.

If you're coming to Mumbai, you must do this tour. There's no better use of time and money than to have this experience first-hand. Our guide Alam was knowledgeable, well-spoken, and friendly. We were able to get a feel for each part of the city without ever feeling lost or vulnerable. This is the best way to experience Mumbai. I recommend booking at the beginning of a trip so that you can get your bearings when visiting the city for the first time. Leave all your expectations at the airport and bring an open mind to truly experience the way the locals live. It's a humbling experience that provides a great deal of perspective in life. I'm appreciative for the wonderful service that Amaze and Alam provide. Book this tour. You won't regret it.

Fantastic tour with our guide Dinish (apologies if spelled incorrectly). We were staying on in northern Mumbai and so had an early start. We took in so many sights on the trip and Dinish was very quick to fill us in and show us this amazing city. Our driver was a lovely gent who dropped and picked us up from each sight we got out to see. Definetly recommend this tour!!
