Perfect customized tour with Reality Tours & Travel - highly recommended for female travellers
After learning that Reality Tours & Travel also offers multi-day trips, I got in touch with them to arrange a trip for a private extension of my upcoming business trip. Krishna and Shravan were incredibly patient in working with me in spite of duration and exact timing of my trip changing multiple times in the planning phase and kindly accommodated to my wishes regarding the customized itinerary, consisting of the Mumbai Slum & Night Tour, Ajanta & Ellora Caves, Golden Triangle & Rajasthan and Delhi sightseeing. As a first timer in India and female solo traveller, safety was paramount to me and Reality Tours and Travel kindly arranged everything from the pick-up at the airport upon arrival until the drop-off at departure. My fantastic guides Chetan (for Mumbai & Maharashtra) and Sourav (for Delhi, Golden Triangle & Rajasthan) always made sure I felt safe and comfortable. They shielded me from any unwanted attention, yet provided me with the opportunity to interact with locals. As both of them speak excellent English, I learned a lot about the places we visited as well as about India in general and daily life there. They went above and beyond to make my trip the best one I could have possibly had, were very approachable, well-organized and punctual and took me to places that locals would frequent. At local monuments that required additional designated guides, they made sure to find an experienced guide with suitable language skills. Chetan and Sourav were always available in case I needed any assistance and flexibly adjusted our agenda to give me the time I wanted to spend at each sight or to add Chai or souvenir shopping breaks. I could not have been happier with my trip and plan on booking with Reality Tours and Travels again.

Fantastic custom dawn market and temple tour
A lovely experience! We were able to amend our itinerary and skip out some of the locations we had already been to which enabled us more times in the market and temple . The vegetable and flower market were very interesting ( wear good footwear and avoid the squidgy bits) So many positive smells and colours , hustle and bustle , and customers just getting on with their morning routine . So glad that we went ! The temple was beautiful, very interesting to see prayer and the privilege to be in the same room was fascinating. Would recommend asking for an itinerary before you depart so you can knock off the places you’ve been to so you can throughly enjoy the market . Our lovely guide also took us for a lovely chai , which was great to drink on the street with the locals! Our guide was fantastic, Nano , and our driver - who didn’t speak much English but far better than any other language that I can speak for sure ! Just a really great day !

    An exceptional tour company
This is an exceptional tour company. Their communication before the tour was swift and comprehensive - including a precise photo guide for how to find the meeting place. The guide, Shifa, was friendly and engaging, sharing her knowledge and experience of life in Dharavi with great cheer and skill. She also accompanied a few of us to a nearby station in a taxi to ensure we got on the train back into town.

Great tour - I wish they'd reconsider their policy re photos
An excellent, informative, enlightening tour which certainly included areas you could not otherwise easily see. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The organization does good things. Strongly recommend. And I know that these folks have though a lot more about this than I have, but my one issue is the blanket prohibition on photography. Of course one needs to be careful and respectful when photographing *anywhere* or *anyone* in public. But the tour major streets with street-side businesses not too different from elsewhere in Mumbai and the rest of India, as well as "industrial" zones (plastic recycling, leather works, pottery), where it's difficult to see how photographs of non-human subjects would cause much harm. Residential zones, of course are more sensitive, and I can understand the overriding need for privacy there. Again, I'm sure Reality Tours has thought this through in a lot more depth than I have, but maybe this will give some food for thought. Or, at minimum, they might consider enhancing the collection of photos that they provide online for their customers. That collection has a number of portraits, but very few photos of the physical environment, the industries, the architecture, etc. Anyway, again, I highly recommend this tour!

Rajesthan - stopping in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra and Delhi!
We have had an extraordinary time on our tour of Rajesthan - stopping in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra and Delhi! Mr Hemraj has been a great driver/guide along the way, always on time, always open to taking us to the best spots and providing us with top hospitality along the way! He always checks in on us during the long drives and drives well even in rush hour! He’s a safe pair of hands among tuk tuk drivers, motorbikes and cows on the roads. His passion for Rajasthan's heritage, coupled with his warmth and hospitality, elevated our journey beyond our expectations. His deep-rooted knowledge and genuine love for his homeland infused each moment with authenticity and wonder, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you Mr Henraj :)

    A must do in Mumbai!
Seeing the smiles on the children's faces of this village while playing cricket with a plank of wood as a bat and a broken chair as a stump will make your heart melt. The hard working men and women of Dharavi contribute so much to society and you will see that in this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Dharavi as she has lived there he whole life. Also worth noting that Reality Tours donates 80% of profits back to the slum communities to run education programs.

An eye opener that everybody should see
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour - something we will remember for always. Our tour guide was very informative and we learned so much about life in the slums. So many people misunderstand what the slums are (including us before we took the tour). It certainly changed our understanding and we were left in admiration of the ingenuity and endeavour of the many people who live there. Highly recommend this tour to everyone !

    Unique and eye--opening experience.
If you are looking for something unique and an eye-opening experience then you should definitely take a tour with them. I took part in the Dharavi Slum Tour as part of our project for college. It turned out to be unlike any other trip I had taken, providing a distinct and interesting viewpoint. Additionally, the organization conducts an NGO aimed at educating children within Dharavi, with 80% of the tour proceeds supporting this cause. The founder, Mr. Krishna Pujari, showed a great deal of expertise and helped out when needed. Since most of the tourists I saw were foreigners, I hope that their efforts will be more well-known to domestic travelers like me.

Me and a friend took the Dharavi tour and it was an amazing experience! The tour guide was super informative and helpfu
Right from the time we arrived, we were made to feel included amongst other fellow travellers, made me feel safe throughout and was indeed a seamless and an enjoyable experience. Had it not been for Reality Tours, I wouldn't have explored this hidden gem on my own.

    Must do
After originally using Reality Tours in 2012, I returned to Mumbai last week and again booked a tour but this time I also attended the Holi celebration. Very well organised and a thoroughly entertaining and educational experience. I wish more people would choose to see dharavi.

    Thought provoking experience
An excellent tour. We had a young man aged 31 as our guide who was born and lived in the slum area and he was a font of knowledge. He spoke excellent English which he started to speak only in 2016. His information was delivered clearly and concisely and as we made our way through the area. It was obvious he was well respected by the locals as he always told us when we could and when we could not take any photos as well as guiding us through the slums.

What a great experience! I booked this tour a little on the fly and it turned out to be one of the best experiences I've ever had. We met in the train station and after everyone gathered we were off! It was fun riding the train and having that unexpected mini-adventure prior to getting to the "good stuff"...the eating! We went to Chowpatty beach which was so fun and filled with families all enjoying the evening and doing exactly the same as us. Our guides were knowledgable and fun and reassured everyone that the locations that we were visiting were all proven safe to eat. After that we walked and ate and walked some more. We visited several very tasty locations and had lots of fun along the way. I would highly recommend this street food tour as well as Reality Tours in general.

Interesting and tasty experience. We had a great time with our guidew who explained us a lot about the city, its people and the food of course. We tried many different types of food walked through the parts of the city we would never discovered alone and heard interesting stories. All food was included in price and there was no hidden marketing of any other shops or services. At the end of the evening tour we were full - of food and different experiences. Thank you!

Don’t think we would have known where to start in terms of where to eat safely which is why this tour was so good. Nice to experience street food at sunset by the beach along with the locals and then head into a really busy part of the city for more food. Great to walk through the lively and busy districts to experience how everyone in Mumbai live their lives. All food delicious and neither of us got ill. Great vibe and enjoyed some tasty dishes 😋 Jenna the guide knowledgeable and kept us all
Together which was a feat!

What a way to see Mumbai, we absolutely could not have done this on our own, you must take this tour. A fascinating tour of 3 different street food markets. We started the journey by train, and were met at the station by Raj our guide who was brilliant. We tasted things we would not have done ourselves and negotiated the busiest and noisiest streets we have ever seen. Raj organised us a taxi and fixed the price with the driver before we set off to go back to the ship, which was a great help as many other people on the ship, ourselves included, had paid over the odds during the day.
We cannot recommend this tour highly enough, just be prepared for how busy Mumbai really is.

Mumbai can be a difficult place to know where to try street food so this tour is a great way of doing so whilst learning about the dish, understanding who it fits in to Mumbai culture and also learning a lot about Mumbai culture in general from the guide. We had Janna and he was fantastic. We also got to ride the train and take a shared taxi with the locals and Janna organised a fixed rate taxi to get me home safely from our last stop at a good price.

MOST IMPORTANTLY the tour researches the vendors beforehand so you can try street food without the stress of potentially getting sick. My stomach can vouch for this!

My only slight criticism is that there may have been slightly too much food for me LOL.

What an amazing tour. Our guide, Janna, was fantastic, meeting us at Churchgate Station, we travel by local train, a great experience, to Chowpatty Beach to sample a great range of street food from the local vendors. We then travelled into the heart of the city experience street food from different cultures that make up this amazing city. To add to our great experience, we happen to be in the city during Ganesh Chaturthi festival which lasts for 10 days. We had the opportunity to witness the local traditions and customs up-close, with the evening streets coming alive with drummers and dancers. Janna, knowledge and help was outstanding. A highlight of our time in Mumbai.

I’m writing this a few months after our tour, which in itself tells of its positive memory impact. We were so at ease by the clear text communications and friendliness of Raj, our guide. He gave us unique insights into the cities people, culture and flavours of Mumbai’s food. Yes go! It’s a fun lasting experience and the food is great. Thanks Raj😀

Thanks to the clear instructions we easily found the meeting point, Nano warmly welcomed us and we started with a short train ride, the first stop at the beach was great, good food combined with sunset, we had so many different dishes to eat/try that the walking in between was necessary.
The food was a good mix of vegetarian, meet and sweet dishes.
The streets were super crowded and noisy but that’s Mumbai 😒
Nano was very friendly, attentive and had a lot of interesting facts and stories about Mumbai to tell.
He organized a safe trip back to the hotel in a cab.
We fell happily into our beds.
Would highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide was Janna who was brilliant at explaining the food and the history of the different areas. I really wanted to taste different street food but was too worried to do so independently.

First we visited the Chopati beach area by train for pav bhaji , Mysore masala dosi and the most delicious puris, followed by kulfi.

In the Hindu Bhuleswar area we had
Ukala, a hot milk safffron cardamom drink , followed by tasty nibbles of Masala kachori and Sabudana vada (sago). The Zaveri bazaar followed, where we had the most delicious Pudla.

Next was a visit to the Mohammed Ali road a very busy area for Baida roti, Chicken roll and chicken kabab followed by a very sweet gulab jamun with rabdi.

Most of the meals are vegetarian, so if you don’t eat meat you can fill up on these first.

Best not to eat lunch as it’s all very filling!
