Yes, it’s possible to see all of Mumbai in one day
Amazing! Unbelievable that I was able to see all Mumbai’s incredible sights in one day. The city is huge with many neighborhoods, historic and cultural sights and those beautiful temples but my great guide Sabina covered it all. Thank you!

    Great experience!
We had a great time on our food tour with Jana. He was a fantastic guide, we tried a lot of great dishes, and we got to see new areas of Mumbai. Jana was so knowledgeable and kind enough to help us navigate how to get home after our tour.

    Amazing village tour
We went on the village tour with Javed. It was a whole day tour from 8 am till approximately 6pm. We went on a Ferry to Mandwa and then a bus to Alibag beach and market. We got to eat Vada Pav, go to the Lotus lake and see women washing their family's clothes, see brick making, go to a local school, have lunch with a village family in their home, visit the tribal village and then see the piranha lake! It was an incredible day and I'm so thankful to have had this opportunity. Our guide, Javed, was amazing, friendly and super informative. Thank you for the wonderful work you do at Reality Tours.

Helena and friends in India with Krishna! :)
My Friends and I did a tour around India for 14 days with Krishna! We started in Mumbai, then we headed to Goa for 3 nights. We went to Badami, Hampi & Krishna village in Herunjal where we experienced a really nice and traditional show!! After that we went to South India, Kochi and we finished our tour in Mumbai again! Krishna was absolutely amazing and showed us the REAL INDIA! Food, people, culture were the best and we are looking forward to visit India again!!! :) 🇮🇳

    Great Street food tour
Terrific street food tour. Was easy to book. We had a wonderful guide and it was so much fun to explore different neighborhoods, sample food and learn about local cuisine. Heard warning about street food and glad I have booked this tour: this food was fresh, delicious and safe. Highly recommended

    Not for foodies
For tourist not traveler. Pros: - you take a train - you ride in a shared local cab - you can eat a lot of snacks Cons: - guide was on their phone for the whole tour - no facts and information was offered - the guide did not seem interested in the tour at all or very knowledgeable about the food we were eating - no customisation - although requested before the tour. - really basic foods that are easy to find and google We paid more for a private custom tour and agreed to focus the tour on non-veg options. What we got was obviously just the standard tour with no consultation about what we wanted. If the guide was to quickly check preferences before ordering on our behalf and it would have been better. In the end this was a very expensive way to eat some snacks we already had and some basic grilled chicken. If you’re really nervous about eating out in Mumbai then MAYBE this is for you. If you’re looking for a foodie tour or are a seasoned traveler avoid this tour.

    Insight to a world I don't know
Vasu gave a terrific tour, with lots of great information - from historic background to what we were seeing in front of us. He was very gracious and respectful to everyone we encountered.

Highly Recommend for Solo Travelers Looking to Explore India!
I had the pleasure of using Reality Tours and Travel’s services in both Mumbai last year and recently in Delhi, and I highly recommend them for an immersive, insightful, and safe travel experience. During my recent Delhi tour, I joined their bicycle tour and Old Delhi spice market tour, and they went above and beyond to customize my trip with visits to two additional sites I was interested in. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and comfortable throughout the experience. The team arranged seamless transportation from my hotel to the meeting points, which made logistics a breeze. My guides, Abhishek and Sourav, were incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating historical insights that brought each site to life. Their enthusiasm and professionalism made the experience both enriching and enjoyable. Reality Tours and Travel’s attention to detail, knowledgeable guides, and commitment to creating memorable experiences make them a fantastic choice for anyone wanting to explore India authentically and securely. I look forward to more tours with them and highly recommend their services!

Reality Tours! Love them. Thank you for a wonderful experience. 🙏
Delhi, Jaipur and Agra. Excellent all round. Well organised, flexible, good hotels, comfy vehicle, wonderful driver and Naresh, our lovely guide. For specific monuments and sights, he sourced well versed local guides who were able to give us intricate details and history. At all times the experience felt personal and catered to our needs. It was great to visit the community and classes that Reality Tours sponsors and supports. Due to time constraints, this trip we had a modified golden triangle tour. 4 days. Last year we did the Dharavi tour in Mumbai which also was excellent. We are so glad to have found Reality Tours and cannot recommend them enough 🙏.

    Enjoyful business trip to Mumbai
Our company, the Russian Valve Association, contacted RTT to help us organize a business trip to Mumbai. We were together with the guys from September 16th to 21st. And it was just amazing! Thanks to the efforts of Krishna and his team, we all have only the most positive impressions. It is not often possible to find such a travel agency that could implement any wish in the shortest possible time and was always ready to help. We didn't worry about anything and completely trusted the experience of Krishna's team. Hotel, transfer, interpreters, meals, etc.: the travel agency coped with all the tasks perfectly. We really enjoyed working with Reality tours and travel, and we really hope that we will have another chance to use their services soon!

    Great street food tour
Fantastic street food tour with Raj. Make sure you are hungry as there is a huge amount of food. Not only was the food superb but we were completely immersed in the environment too. Be prepared for delicious food, bustling streets and information surrounding the food and its origins. Great tour… don’t miss out!

Don't hesitate to take this tour!
We had a wonderful experience on the Mumbai Street Food Tour. Our guide Raj was knowledgeable about the foods of Mumbai and taught us a lot about Indian history too. He was super friendly and spoke excellent English. The food on the tour was varied and delicious! There's just no way we'd have found all of these dishes on our own. Two things I think the tour listing doesn't mention that added to our overall enjoyment of the tour 1. You'll eat around 15 dishes! The food offering is MUCH more comprehensive than the listing describes: snacks, drinks, vegetarian and meat dishes, and dessert too. 2. The tour is organized by Reality Gives, a non-profit which trains underprivileged local people to become tour guides, so by taking the tour you're enabling a program that makes a genuine difference to the life of a Mumbai resident.

    Excellent adventure. BYOH.
This was done early morning before the traffic got too crazy. We were lucky to have light drizzle to keep us cool at the beginning . Our tour guide nashe was awesome, loved that Raoul the second guide biked behind us keeping us safe from traffic. This company, some profits go to a charity which is amazing as well as our guides who have great english . The only thing I was worried about was the state of the bike helmets..were definitely not up to standard. My suggestion is BRING an old one from home, and donate it to the company for use after your tour. This would help so much as they only get what the bike hire people give them. Otherwise it was an excellent adventure.....

The tour was incredibly informative, safe, and fun! Our tour guide, Bhakti (hopefully I spelled that right) was incredibly kind and knew a ton of different facts. She was able to answer all my group's questions!

Really felt like I can truly appreciate now how much of an economic (and cultural) powerhouse Dharavi really is! Thank you to Reality Tours and Travel for providing such a great afternoon experience (and also glad that they contribute back to the community through their school!)

A must do in Mumbai to get insight into how the working class live and work. It also demonstrates the sense of community and ingenuity of the workers. Raj was a professional guide who explained what was what and answered our questions thoughtfully. Reality Tours also seems to be a good tourism business contributing to the local economy.

This is an exceptional tour company. Their communication before the tour was swift and comprehensive - including a precise photo guide for how to find the meeting place. The guide, Shifa, was friendly and engaging, sharing her knowledge and experience of life in Dharavi with great cheer and skill. She also accompanied a few of us to a nearby station in a taxi to ensure we got on the train back into town.

A unique opportunity to find out the reality of life for people living in Dharavi. Prepare to have your misconceptions challenged!
There is no way that you could find your own way through this area and see the working lives and living environment of the people without a guide. Your presence wouldn’t be tolerated. These tours are possible because the relationship between the organisation and the people of Dharavi is respectful. This is not ‘poverty-porn’ - quite the opposite. And no cameras are allowed, which underlines this important point.
It’s great that these tours support educational resources for the community and provide opportunities that wouldn’t otherwise be available.

We booked Reality Tours in December 2022 for a tour of Dharavi, which was definitely the highlight of our stay in Mumbai. We’ve never been the sort of travellers to restrict ourselves to the “beautiful” sites of the cities we visit and this was exactly the tour that we needed in a place such as Mumbai, where the divide between extreme wealth and deprivation is so stark.

Raj, our guide for the day, was an absolute pleasure to spend time with - knowledgeable, informative, well paced and undeniably cool. It goes without saying that we will do another tour next time we’re in Mumbai, and we will definitely be requesting Raj again specifically!

All the best with an excellent and quality initiative, guys!

What an incredible, informative and eye opening tour!
The team at Reality Tours and Travel where fantastic. They organised everything at the very last minute, as I was actually still in transit when I was confirming the tour, but they never made me feel like there was any request too hard for them to organise. They organised a driver 'Manu' to pick me up from my airport hotel, together with my wonderful tour guide 'Rakesh'. I was never at all concerned, jumping into a car in the middle of Mumbai as a (solo) female tourist. The team were very professional, passionate and knowledgeable throughout this incredible tour. Thankyou to the team at Reality Tours, this was an experience that I will never forget. I recommend this tour to anyone.

Dharavi is possibly the most interesting place I’ve ever visited, thanks to the Reality team and our excellent guide. The surprise for me was just how beautiful it is., the sense of community is incredible. People were friendly (as they always are in India), lots of great conversations but no selfies, the tour rightly doesn’t allow photography. Would 100% recommend, this was the highlight of our India trip.

We thought long and hard about whether to take this tour, but were pleased we did.
We met the guide, Rishi, at Churchgate Station and travelled up to Dharavi by train. The tour was run in small groups (of no more than six). The presentation of aspects of life and the economy of the area was carried out in a matter-of-fact way, avoiding potential pitfalls such as sentimentalising or patronising the community. There were various other tours taking place, but Reality Tours' support of the community was pleasing.
The one disappointing aspect was the add-on Street Art tour. We had assumed that this would be about art produced by local residents, but instead it related to murals painted by outsiders, which probably had at best limited impact on the community. With the benefit of hindsight, we would probably have given this a miss.
Overall, though a very interesting and worthwhile experience.

This was easily the highlight of my trip to Mumbai. It is something I believe everyone should see and is definitely something I’d love to do again. My tour guide Javeed was incredibly knowledgeable and still I am amazed that he only started learning English five years ago. There was no language barrier whatsoever. I met him at church gate station and he rode the local train with me all the way to dharavi while giving me great information on absolutely anything I asked. The tour of dharavi was superb of course but I’ll let you see for yourself! Many thanks javeed!
Additionally I think it is amazing the work that reality tours are doing so if it is between reality tours and another company I’d definitely pick reality tours.
