About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- colinj4890 contributionsHighly recommended! You see quite a bit of old Delhi in a short time. My wife isn’t that confident on a bike but she was fine on this. Starts early before the mayhem. You have a friendly helper at the front and the back of the group. Highly recommended!Written 22 February 2025
- Cameron C0 contributionsExcellentExcellent experience all round, I recommend it. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and showed us some amazing places.Written 21 February 2025
- JohnX1338BA0 contributionsWell worth itA great way to get a feel for Old Delhi. Faster than walking, can ride alleyways too small for a car. Vishnu was great - mixing in explanations of history, religion and culture. Easy cycling all on the flat. The food stops were good too - interesting little nuggets of cultural experience.Written 20 February 2025
- dorothyt4190 contributionsA NewYear Opener to Remember. Cold, but Spicy start to 2025!!!It was a cold, foggy and silent New Year’s morning when I made my way to meet Vishnu at the agreed time and place. Don’t worry, I had a beanie and gloves. I was the only rider this morning. Well, it is New Years Day!!!!Most sane people are snuggled up in bed nursing a hangover. Vishnu was waiting. Bikes ready. And so were his stories. Absolutely fascinating. The history, the religions, the people and all the connections between. Old Delhi was an easy ride. Mind the potholes, the tuk-tuks and the dogs. This bustling center of morning market, chai sellers, going to temples, and the general morning preparation of getting ready for the day. It’s all here!!!! The streets we ride on are narrow, filled with movement, and a little challenging for someone that is not accustomed to riding a bike. I ride a lot as a hobby so it was not problems. The bikes are fit for purpose. The tour gets into the nuts and bolts of the Red Fort, the Moonlight Square , the Spice market. You really get to see all of it. Even things you might not be prepared for - like people sleeping on the street, street dogs, rubbish everywhere, and beggars. Excellent commentary by Vishnu was educational, light hearted and entertaining. He made learning fun. We had stops at a chai tea seller for really delicious tummy warming chai. Then a stop at a famous puri seller for a very tasty breakfast. I saw everything I wanted to see. Including several cows wandering through the streets. Be prepared to smile and say hi to a lot of people on the street. There are plenty who want to talk to foreigners. I would highly recommend this tour. Vishnu is the man! Enjoy.Written 31 December 2024
- fionar5370 contributionsGreat way to see Delhi sites, food and have some funA great way to see the sights of old Delhi . We had limited time in Delhi before we flew out, but this was a great way to see some history of Delhi , taste some food and get a cycle in too. Our guide Vishnu and the “bodyguard “ were great , made the trip fun and protected us all the way in the crazy Delhi traffic . ThankyouWritten 23 November 2024
- JudyV4150 contributionsOutstanding bike tours! We did three tours with Tenzin and it's impossible to say which was best. It was absolutely the best way to explore Delhi and Tenzin was a brilliant, caring, informative guide who couldn't do enough for us. He even booked our rail tickets making life so much easier for us. I cannot recommend Delhi by Bike enough and if you can do more than one tour.... Do it .. if you want to make the most of your time in Delhi!Written 16 November 2024

- walkerfenton0 contributionsAwe inspiring trip!We did the "Old Delhi by Bike" tour, and it was an awe inspiring experience. Tenzin did a great job not only leading us through the maze of old Delhi, but he had great stories and it was a fantastic adventure. Loved the haveli, the spice market and his special rooftop view of Chandni Chowk.Written 20 July 2024
- U4410FCmagdalenac0 contributionsReal life past and now in Old DelhiA very well-organized trip, safe and in a nice atmosphere. The guide took us to many interesting places and told us a lot about them. Breakfast was in a local bar, very tasty. If you want to see Delhi as it really is, and not just a few attractions for tourists, I highly recommend trips with Delhi By Bike.Written 17 July 2024
- DerbyHelen270 contributionsAn amazing introduction to Delhi - a must do.This was the best way to start our holiday in India, to introduce us to so many new experiences and it gave us the confidence to enjoy the country for the rest of our stay. We were taken to parts of the old city we would never have dreamed we could access, and we felt safe all the time, even riding through the busier streets at the end of our tour. Great food and tastings along the way, bikes were in great condition (comfortable seats) and helmets were provided. This was low effort cycling, you just need mobility and your wits about you - and keep ringing your bell. Our guides were excellent, friendly, communicative, patient and engaging.Written 31 May 2024
- jwese0 contributionsAmazing Old Delhi walking tourWe had a wonderful walking tour of Old Delhi with Tenzin as our guide. Without him, it would be difficult to understand and appreciate Old Delhi. He was very willing to customize our tour and asked if we had any preferences. We didn't, so he showed us a little bit of everything. I wish I had more time in Delhi to take a bicycle tour as well, but for now all I can do is highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting!Written 13 May 2024

- P8310URseanw0 contributionsInvigorating Old DelhiDelhi by bike. How best to see and learn about the old city of Delhi? Answer with an early morning tour with Tenzin and Old Delhi by Bike tours. The experience is exhilarating- cycling through the narrow lanes (using your bell in the polite Indian way), navigating the cows, cars, dogs, street sellers, motorbikes etc . It’s 6:30 in the morning and the place is already vibrant with life. Tenzin at the front and his assistant at the back ensure you are safe and accounted for at every turn. The cycling is beautifully interspersed with stops for informative gems from Tenzin on the history of the area. Stops at the wholesale spice market for Chai (recommend add ginger) and breakfast at a back street restaurant only add to the whole experience. I would thoroughly recommend Tenzin and his tour for an enlightening, informative, invigorating ( you feel a real buzz experiencing cycling in Delhi) and enjoyable experience.Written 24 April 2024

Since I had been on a 5-day trip in the Golden triangle I was not too eager to get in a car again to explore Delhi, but the city is also too big to walk. So the bike tour was the perfect solution for me and it was also a very fun way to explore the city. I really liked the peace of the morning hours and the streets were not busy. If you can, I recommend taking a tour on a Sunday, there will never be much traffic in those morning hours. My guide Vishnu made sure I was safe at all times and showed me touristic as well as hidden places and took me to some nice spots for chai and breakfast. He also offered to take pictures of me at the sights which is always nice when traveling solo. Another thing I liked is that he asked me at the beginning how used I was to riding a bike and used the info to go faster wherever possible.

Tizen lead a fun and diverse tour of South Deli. As a infrequent bike rider myself, i found the traffic and density a bit unnerving oxcasionally, but the leader and his helper kept us always safe. It's another way to see the city that many residents use so i recommend giving it a try.

This was the absolute best way to start our trip off in India and Dehli. We completed both the Old Dehli with a twist and South Dehli bicycle tour and they were both amazing. Tenzin was an amazing tour guide, providing so much interesting knowledge about both areas. Vishnu accompanied us on both tours and was very helpful and happy along the way.
Old Dehli with a twist was fabulous to see the Tibetan quarter and have a lovely meal. Seeing the less busy streets of South Dehli, especially the Arts District was beautiful and amazing to eat some delicious Dosa Masala, YUM! We had such an amazing time with Tenzin on both tours and I couldn’t recommend it enough to start off your trip in Dehli and see some incredible sites with amazing knowledge behind it.
Thank you!!!

With 3 friends passing through Delhi we were able to discover and experience this big city in a very unique way. Cycling in the bustle of this big city but also along beautiful green streets, from one surprise to another, several stops with excellent local snacks and this accompanied by 2 excellent sweet guides. It is an absolute must!

My friend and I had a brilliant trip cycling around S Delhi and the Lodi Art District with our excellent guide Tenzin and his helper Darmesh. Despite it being a bit wet at the start (luckily they provided raincoats) we were soon immersed into another side of Delhi. Tenzin is very friendly and very knowledgeable - we learnt more about the city and its people, whilst also trying some great streetfood. It was the first time we had dosa since we arrived in India, and it didn’t disappoint. Loved seeing the art on the buildings and Tenzin was very patient with me stopping to take photos every 2 minutes. Seeing the ‘posh part’ of Delhi was interesting too. Cycling in that area was straightforward and with Tenzin and Darmesh there to guide us when crossing the busier roads, we never felt unsafe. Thank you guys! Great trip and would highly recommend.

We did three of tours with Tenzin and each one was outstanding! Cycling in the early morning is a wonderful and memorable way to explore the old and new parts of the city. Tenzin is a superb and knowledgeable guide and goes out of his way to share his information and to highlight personal interests.

I really enjoyed this bike tour with Chermish. We started off in some of the quieter parts of Delhi and by the end I was confidently riding on the main roads. Drivers here love their horns are otherwise are more considerate than back home in Auckland. Riding a bike is the best way to get around the Lodhi art district and see the murals as they are a bit spread out but well worth seeing. The tour lets you see several sides of Delhi - the well of and the poor -in just a morning. Definitely recommend as a way to experience Delhi.

This was a very interesting way to cover a lot of area and experience a different view of this big busy city. Tenzin and Vishnu kept us very safe with their instructions while navigating a few tricky roads, and took us to some interesting places (Lodi arts precinct, quiet tombs, lovely parks, rose-scented Nizamuddin) while we travelled through the daily events of the local neighbourhood life. Stopped for marsala chai and one stall, and a restaurant for some dosa, something I had not had before but really enjoyed. I would happily recommend this tour.

Tenzin, the manager/tour guide, showed me an absolutely incredible time. First of all, the bicycle was really and comfortable (adjustable seat for height), the tour went through Old market, holy space for prayer , beautiful art work , and the Lodi Gardens.
Tenzin, was really cool and very informative and easy to talk to- I felt super comfortable and had a fun time learning about the areas and the history of South Delhi- this sweet lime juice (I am probably getting the name wrong ) that Tenzin got for me was delicious !!!
Enjoyed this so much

The bike tour of south Delhi was a lot of fun and adventure. I had a wonderful time riding bike around various locations. Biking is the best way to explore Delhi, some things you just cannot cover in bus/car tours. The locations we covered range from old Nizamuddin basti with sufi vibe and biryani shops, to Lodhi colony with mural/wall arts from various international artists, to India habitat center, a city-within-city the Tenzin our tour guide described, to Lodhi garden and khan market.
Along the way. you will also get to enjoy tapir chai/omelet for breakfast and authentic Dosa/Sambar for lunch.
