We had a fantastic tour with Raghu and it was definitely a highlight of our trip to Delhi! Raghu was very kind and authentic, and made us feel very comfortable and safe throughout the tour. We had a couple of gluten free people, and he made sure to let us know which items we could eat as well as asking the vendors for special versions using chickpea or lentil flour. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about both history and food, and we could feel his sincerity at every moment in talking to us and explaining the food, history, and culture. He also helped us purchase items in the markets at local prices, speaking to and negotiating with the vendors on our behalf. Of course, the food was absolutely delicious and plentiful (there were so many different items to try!) and none of us got sick from the food. I highly highly recommend this tour if you want to explore Old Delhi, learn some history, and taste the delicious foods!!!

This was one of my favourite tours during my time in India because you really get to know a city through its food and culture, and Raghu was the perfect host to share this experience with. I booked the ‘Food and Heritage Walk of Old Delhi’ and I was greeted in the morning by Raghu at the metro exit. He provided a brief overview of what to expect and context of the tour, and this really helped set the scene for the rest of the tour. We walked through the old town, made stops at various eatery establishments trying the best local street food and also had a tuk tuk ride between places. For those foodies out there, the food selected was perfection and flavours will leave a lasting impression on you! Make sure you have plenty of space in your stomach because you don’t want to miss out on any item! They were located in narrow laneways and this is where knowing a local is best. Thoroughly enjoyed my tour from start to end and the experience felt like a really good friend showing you the best things around their home town. Highly recommend this tour to get to know the history of Old Delhi and learn to eat where the locals eat too!

AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE
This is not just a guided tour: this is a truly immersive experience of Old Delhi, rich in history and packed with amazing food.
I had visited Old Delhi several times before, and I was always overwhelmed by the crowds and the smells. Our guide helped us slow down and appreciate the different eras of architecture and taught us about the incredible history of the area, all while taking us to the most amazing street food vendors across the city.
We started with vegetarian dishes and moved into non-veg. We were constantly offered extra food (trust me, you will walk away as full as you could ever want to be: you don't need to double up on anything), and our guide had everything we needed on hand; from disinfectant to bug spray.
I don't want to talk about the food we had as I don't want to ruin the experience for anyone, but every dish was AMAZING. From cold veg street dishes to a sit down curry, everything was absolutely exceptional; and all from vendors that foreigners would certainly miss on a solo trip into the city. This is true local knowledge.
Raghu (your guide) has a Masters Degree in Tourism, and his wealth of knowledge is simply fascinating. But it is the way that he guides you through town that makes all the difference. Lots of guides just recite a script at your face and ask you to buy jewellery from vendors that have paid them off. Here, we were invited into discussion about food and history. He took us to quiet streets (yes there are quiet streets in Old Delhi) to talk about food culture, and to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the spice market. By the end of the evening we felt as though we were dining with a friend.
I cannot recommend this experience enough. I found a new love for the old city... And I ate so much food I didn't need breakfast the next day. You will not regret booking this.

Genuinely worth 5*s. Raghu is a calm, kind and knowledgeable guide. We came as a group for a wedding in Jaipur, of those who visited Delhi, we took part in this tour because we all recommended it to each other. We took the vegetarian version but our friends highly recommended the meat version also.
The tour lasted 5hours and was worth every Rupee. The food was some of the best we’ve eaten in India with a few completely new dishes from venders you’d never be able to find down back alleys and streets. There’s a good selection of about 6-7 dishes over a long stroll through the streets and markets, interspersed with a rich history of Indian culture, history and of course food insights. You’ll certainly feel full!
We’ve been on a few food tours and this is one of the best we’ve done and not surprised that they keep getting 5*reviews.
The tour lasted 5hours and was worth every Rupee. The food was some of the best we’ve eaten in India with a few completely new dishes from venders you’d never be able to find down back alleys and streets. If you are wondering about booking a walk through the Old Delhi narrow alleys and tasting one of the most flavorful cuisine in the world, yes, you should if you want to experience the culture at its fullest. This tour with this company is the must do in Delhi as it combines all: food tasting, traditions, a bit of history and exploration! Please please please make sure you are coming with an empty stomach, as you will be fed about 8-10 different dishes (small portions, thank God, but so filling). Parul was our guide and her knowledge was outstanding, her presentation skills and story telling was so captivating! I felt safe at all time with her, although we were only 3 women walking around by ourselves. Very well organized! You will not be disappointed!

Highly recommend this food tour with Raghu. We had spent most of our time in India cloistered in the different Oberoi hotels and being led through the standard tourist route. We felt like we got a real glimpse of Old Delhi on this tour — chaotic, crowded, colorful, and delicious! Raghu communicated well before the tour, was incredibly thoughtful, and was passionate about sharing Delhi’s story. We tried places and snacks we would never have found on our own. Also, Raghu went above and beyond: he found us when we couldn’t find the starting point, and he made sure we safely got a car at the end of the tour. Thank you Raghu for a wonderful experience! Can’t recommend this tour enough if you want to try authentic Indian street food & visit some hidden gems. It was my first time in Delhi & my tour guide Parul couldn’t have been more helpful. She explained the history of the area, as well as the different foods we were trying - all of which were excellent!

As a woman traveling alone it can get can be stressful. I’m not a newbie to it whatsoever. Checking your phone for directions, being on the lookout for people following you, bikes coming by trying to grab your bag, etc.
Raghu is like meeting up with your older brother. You feel very comfortable following him down winding back alleys and he makes sure you walk on the inside so you don’t get knocked by carts. He doesn’t rush you while you stare at the pretty dresses and knows you’ll want a snack soon. 😂 He’s got hand sanitizer and knows where all the better bathrooms are too. Absolute plus as a woman.
Besides all of that, he’s well read and not only tells you about how ingredients have traveled across the world but about architecture and anything else you throw at him.

A fantastic exploration of Delhi food and history. Raghu was so friendly and informative and we felt like old friends straight away. Our group of 4 laughed and ate and it felt like we really got to see the local places off the tourist track. Fabulous variety of food and a walk and look into the spice and other market areas of Old Delhi. Raghu went above and beyond being just a tour guide and went all out to make our night feel unique and special. You won’t be disappointed on this adventure!

Raghu was a pleasure to spend 5hrs with. The other couple in our tour was delayed so it was just the 3 of us. Raghu is an inspiring entrepreneur, researching and developing the tour on his own, you can tell he is passionate about finding quality vendors and off the beaten path views and restaurants.
