- franziskao6000 contributionsGreat way to explore DelhiSince I had been on a 5-day trip in the Golden triangle I was not too eager to get in a car again to explore Delhi, but the city is also too big to walk. So the bike tour was the perfect solution for me and it was also a very fun way to explore the city. I really liked the peace of the morning hours and the streets were not busy. If you can, I recommend taking a tour on a Sunday, there will never be much traffic in those morning hours. My guide Vishnu made sure I was safe at all times and showed me touristic as well as hidden places and took me to some nice spots for chai and breakfast. He also offered to take pictures of me at the sights which is always nice when traveling solo. Another thing I liked is that he asked me at the beginning how used I was to riding a bike and used the info to go faster wherever possible.Written 24 December 2024
- 212sh_nb0 contributionsSensory extravaganzaWe did three of tours with Tenzin and each one was outstanding! Cycling in the early morning is a wonderful and memorable way to explore the old and new parts of the city. Tenzin is a superb and knowledgeable guide and goes out of his way to share his information and to highlight personal interests.Written 17 November 2024
- 964deel0 contributionsEpic Bike ride in Old DelhiJust do it. Arrived in Delhi yesterday and decided to book a bike tour and liked look of this one. Slightly apprehensive as traffic rules in Delhi are interesting however literally best half day trip I ever did. Tenzin was exceptional and could not do enough and met 3 really cool south Africans. We went to parts of old Delhi you just wouldn't see in a car or walking. Felt really immersed in Delhi and if I had time on return from trip I would do again. Fantastic authentic experience.Written 16 November 2024
- robertkleinaia0 contributionsSee South Deli like the residents do.Tizen lead a fun and diverse tour of South Deli. As a infrequent bike rider myself, i found the traffic and density a bit unnerving oxcasionally, but the leader and his helper kept us always safe. It's another way to see the city that many residents use so i recommend giving it a try.Written 12 November 2024
- Sarah B0 contributionsNice experienceOur guide was very helpful, attentive & patient. He was keen to look after our safety & very informative. The bike seat was really hard. It was nice to do the tour during Diwali, making it far less crowded & stressfulWritten 31 October 2024
- NorthStar378399550090 contributionsOld Dehli Bicycle Tour and South Dehli bicycle TourThis was the absolute best way to start our trip off in India and Dehli. We completed both the Old Dehli with a twist and South Dehli bicycle tour and they were both amazing. Tenzin was an amazing tour guide, providing so much interesting knowledge about both areas. Vishnu accompanied us on both tours and was very helpful and happy along the way. Old Dehli with a twist was fabulous to see the Tibetan quarter and have a lovely meal. Seeing the less busy streets of South Dehli, especially the Arts District was beautiful and amazing to eat some delicious Dosa Masala, YUM! We had such an amazing time with Tenzin on both tours and I couldn’t recommend it enough to start off your trip in Dehli and see some incredible sites with amazing knowledge behind it. Thank you!!!Written 3 July 2024
- jwese0 contributionsAmazing Old Delhi walking tourWe had a wonderful walking tour of Old Delhi with Tenzin as our guide. Without him, it would be difficult to understand and appreciate Old Delhi. He was very willing to customize our tour and asked if we had any preferences. We didn't, so he showed us a little bit of everything. I wish I had more time in Delhi to take a bicycle tour as well, but for now all I can do is highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting!Written 13 May 2024
- mariakS4424FD0 contributionsGood mood, graffiti and foodWe did the south Delhi bike tour. Although it was very hot our guides Tenzin and his friend were in a good mood and showed us many nice places. South Delhi is really different from other places in Delhi, calmer, you should really have a look. I especially liked the graffiti. We got a lot of food, too. Thank you for the great time!Written 13 April 2024
- jameslX4438PU0 contributionsFood and South Delhi Bike ToursWe did two tours with Tenzin - the food tour and then the next day the south Delhi bike tour. Firstly very easy to communicate with to organise upfront and also on the day to sort meeting points etc. The food tour took us round old Delhi experiencing the crazy streets and exploring places we'd never have found. Tenzin has good insight into the local cultures and communities and his connections meant we got some nice information and stories from the locals in addition to the food. For the bike tour he brought an additional support guide Dhermish who kept us safe and also had an amazing back story he kindly shared with us. Thanks both for the great tours!Written 12 March 2024
- Frchik0 contributionsGreat tour! This was a wonderful tour! Our guide Tenzin was knowledgeable and friendly. We saw some great art and tasted several local foods. The bikes were in good shape and the pace was perfect! I highly recommend!Written 4 March 2024
- 721frederikeh0 contributionsAmazing walking tour through Old DehliWe had a private walking tour with Tenzin through Old Delhi on Republic day and it was just an amazing experience. A lot of shops were closed due to the national holiday, but he took us to rooftops, hidden backyards, and to the most delicious street food restaurants. We visited the spice market and had a delicious massala chai tea. We heart interesting stories about the history of the different places and through Tenzin met local people. Tenzin is an outstanding guide and we would highly recommend going on a tour with him.Written 27 January 2024
- Oksanavis0 contributionsGreat and save bike tour in Old Delhi! The tour was great! Good communication beforehand as I would rather go with a group since I'm already traveling solo. Tenzin is a great tourguide told us interesting stories. I felt very safe on the bike because we were mostly riding small quite streets. Would definitely recommend!Written 12 January 2024

- raresv210 contributionsFull immersion in day-to-day DelhiOne of the best choices I've ever made on my Delhi trip. It was an amazing experience sliding on a bike between richshaws, scooties and vendors. Plus I got the chance to see some hidden spots of Old Delhi. Also, the guide was truly wonderful with all his stories, tips and recommandations. This is not only a tour, this an immersive journey in Delhi's day-to-day activities.Written 29 December 2023
- Q5941TFevas0 contributionsOld Delhi tourThe old Delhi Tour with breakfast in the Tibetan Community was a very nice way to explore Delhi. We saw places we wouldn't have seen on our own and Vishnu was a very kind and helpful guide. Also, he and also Tenzin gave us a lot of recommendations on what else to do in Delhi with the limited time we had there. I absolutely recommend this Tour and thanks again to Vishnu and Tenzin for the great time!Written 3 December 2023

The tour was very interesting and well organised. It allowed us to see places that are difficult to visit without an expert local guide. He is very professional and attentive to every need. It is truly a unique experience that we recommend to all those who visit Delhi and are interested in a tour to places other than the classic tourist itineraries.

Tenzin and Darmesh made Delhi unforgettable for us. We took 3 trips with them: Firstly we did the early morning cycle ride in New Delhi and felt completely safe even when traversing through busy traffic! We then did a walk in old Delhi sampling local foods and experiencing the hub-bub of the spice market! Lastly Tenzin took us through the Sanjay Colony in the early evening.
Tenzin speaks excellent English, is extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour! He has a way about his personality that gets local people talking to him so he can share their stories with us.
We highly recommend his tours and look forward to meeting him again.

4 of us booked the Old Delhi tour with Delhi by bike before leaving the UK as we only had one morning in the city. The communication from DBB was very good, they were quick to confirm our booking and sent clear instructions for the rendezvous point.
We were met at the arranged time and introduced to our 2 guides. After our bike saddles and helmets we're adjusted to suit we were given a safety talk before heading off into the warren like lanes and alleyways of Old Delhi.
Our lead guide, Tenzin, stopped at many interesting sights along the way giving explanations about the sights and answering any questions we had. Tenzin showed a genuine enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge of the city, which was excellent and his English was very good.
Towards the end of the tour we stopped at small and very popular local breakfast eatery for puri and daal, which was delicious.
Overall the tour was around 3 and a half hours long. It was by no means strenuous but a reasonable level of bikes control was needed when threading our way through the narrow alleyways and weaving through the pedestrians.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Delhi as you will get to see many sights that may otherwise be missed.

I was the only one who booked the art tour that morning so our guide Tenzin offered an interesting alternative of doing the Tibet Colony tour plus a motorcycle version of Lodhi Art District tour which turned out to be (highly probably more) fun, not only content-wise (2 tours), but also with a bit more speed/thrill regarding the motorcycle part. Yet just as the other guide Dharmesh puts it, you have to like to be on the backseat of a motorcycle in/ through Dehli. It felt quite safe for me and really fun. Many thanks and I recommend both tours!

This was the best way to start our holiday in India, to introduce us to so many new experiences and it gave us the confidence to enjoy the country for the rest of our stay.
We were taken to parts of the old city we would never have dreamed we could access, and we felt safe all the time, even riding through the busier streets at the end of our tour. Great food and tastings along the way, bikes were in great condition (comfortable seats) and helmets were provided.
This was low effort cycling, you just need mobility and your wits about you - and keep ringing your bell.
Our guides were excellent, friendly, communicative, patient and engaging.

Tenzin is a really great guide. He shows you around and tells background stories about culture, history and food. He makes you feel comfortable in a city which is very chaotic. Now, after the tour, we feel more at ease and have a better sense of where and how to look.

We both loved this tour—Tenzin was a fantastic and laid back host who gave us an authentic look at Delhi as it was waking up, with lots of great stories about the people of this city. He also showed us amazing hidden spots we never would have discovered on our own, paired with plenty of context and history. We highly, highly recommend taking this tour!
We really appreciated his authenticity—as a Tibetan living in India, he has a bit of an outsider perspective and more importantly has no ulterior motives other than to give you a good tour. We were frustrated with how often other India tours are constantly looking to upsell you or get commissions with vendors they take you to—this was not the case with Tenzin. He and his colleague Vishnu were friendly, honest, and lovely to talk to—we wish we could have spent more time hanging out with them!
Tenzin also gave great recommendations for restaurants to try and places to visit—he really enhanced our stay at Delhi and we’re so grateful we took this tour!

The tour was an amazing experience, Tenzin showed us so many places that we would have not seen otherwise and told us all about the history of Delhi. Honestly I think this is the best way to experience old Delhi, Tenzin made the chaotic city feel safe and made everything come to life with his stories. We experienced local food and had nice interactions, would recommend it to everyone!

Joined this on an impromptu whim and what an amazing way to see parts of Delhi that you I have not experienced on previous trips here with work.
Cycling through narrow backstreets that I would certainly not have ventured into on my own, feeling perfectly safe at all times, our incredibly knowledgeable guide talked us through our stopping points and it was a great way to spend 4hrs, seeing temples, markets, back streets full of locals, rooftop views and sharing breakfast together.
It was an early start but meant you familiarised yourself with the bike , especially the bell & roads before having to navigate carts, animals and all manner of Delhi traffic!
I would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants to see more than an average tour of Delhi by car.

Having visited Delhi from the USA at least 4 separate times and visited all of the major tourist sites, I can certainly say I never saw the real Delhi as vividly as I did on the Old Delhi Bike Tour. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but highly recommend for any visitor who wants to really see a more authentic side of the city and it’s history. Will definitely book again next time I’m in Delhi!

I have an 8 year old- will he be safe cycling?
Written 26 June 2018
Hmm. Depends on how skilled he is, aware of his surroundings and calm he can remain among a throng of people. It's possible to stay together with one other person within the group, but there are multiple sections where the bike tour is single-file and it is common for the cyclists to space out a bit. However, this can be avoided with attention from both parties. My best friend rode BMX since we was 5 or 6, and his skills at 8 would be adequate to keep up with the group and navigate the difficult areas (pedestrians, street carts, animals, etc). I may have been a little less comfortable at 8 but would have been adventurous enough to enjoy it. The tour guide is very accommodating and would make sure he was safe, but I wouldn't want it to be an unpleasant situation for you. However, I WOULD check bike sizes with the tour company. All of the bikes I saw were adult bikes, so that is something that could cause a problem. I hope you get to go, it was a wonderful experience!
