          Good time in Amaritsar
Shaina from Gets Holiday tour were right on time to pick me up from the hotel. We went to the beautiful Golden temple where I learned so much about Sikhs history. What impressed me is the principle that everyone is equal and they were showing that they were actually sharing food side by side. Shaina help me use my scarf to make the turban. The Jalliawala Bagh border ceremony was fun. Thank you for taking me to purchase silk clothes they are what I was looking for. I has a good time.

Excellent golden triangle tour and driver in south india
We were very impressed with the service we received from GeTS. Deepak was very happy to answer our questions before and during the trip. We didn't have to think about anything during the golden triangle tour as it was all sorted for us. The guides and drivers all spoke excellent English and were happy to help at all points. About once a day the tour guides will ask if you want to visit some form of 'handicraft' store, if this is not your thing then you can just say no and this wasn't a problem. After a great experience in the North of India we also asked GeTS to sort us a driver for multiple days in South India. Selvem was an excellent driver and took us wherever we wanted as well as pointing out things of interest along the route, would highly recommend!

          Mugged by monkeys
It was a terrible journey by jeep to get to the falls, very off road and slow and bumpy, hard on your back. When you arrive you have a tricky climb over slippery rocks to arrive at the falls. Of course it a lovely place and I managed to swim with life jacket on. It's quite difficult to get in the water and very busy. Beware of the monkeys they steal anything they can,we had a bottle of orange removed in a flash. Not for the faint hearted or older person.

          Wonderful trip to Amritsar!
Wonderful visit to Golden temple, Jallianwala Bagh and Wagha Border ceremony! My tour guide Priya was friendly and took good care of me throughout the day! Gets Holidays was very accommodating to the changes I wanted. Delicious food stops and rich history - recommend it highly! A bit more detail on the history if the sites would have made it an even better trip!

Golden Temple and Wagha Border experience Jan-24
We enjoyed this tour very much. Ajay was very polite and knowledgeable about Amritsar. We heard some very interesting stories Sikh history and their contribution to Indian's struggle for independence from British rule, whichwe really appreciated. The Golden Temple experience is very special, a must do. The Attari Border experience was a bit like watching a UK football match, but with Bollywood music on full blast. Kulcha lunch was delicious. Everythng we expected and more.

GeTS HOLIDAYS crafted me a splendid 30 day tour of Bodghaya, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Puri, Chilika, Sunderbans & Kolkata
GeTS Holidays offers an alluring array of short, well-priced tours to Orissa and Kolkata. I wanted a 30 day tour from Bihar to Kolkata. Team Leader, Anu Seth and Senior Operations Manager, Debasish Biswas took on this arduous task of charting me a route from Bodhgaya to Patna in Bihar, a flight to Bhubaneshwar, a 10 day tour of Odisha and a train trip to Kolkata, where I wanted to spend 10 days before returning to my home in Cape Town. I placed huge constraints on Anu and Debasish: I am a retired female teacher,71 year old travelling solo and unable to afford 4 star hotels. And I wanted to see off -the-beaten track Buddhist and other historical sites. Anu and Debasish worked miracles with my limited budget. Patiently and carefully, Anu kept on re-working my itinerary, because I wanted to fit in sites as I was researching. But I had no idea of the distances and arduous driving that was required to visit the UNESCO site and Japanese Temple at Bodhgaya, the Sapta Parni Caves in Rajgir, Vuture Peak, Nalanda University, Xuan Zang Memorial Hall, Patna’s splendid museums, as well as the various Archaeological museums of India. The drivers and guides selected by Debasish were professional, well-spoken and knowledgeable. And open to itinerary changes: I realized that the caves at Khandagiri and Udaygiri were not the hallowed Buddhist sites in the Diamond Triangle of Udayagiri, Lalitgiri and Ratnagiri. These were 133 km away. No problem: the driver and guide enabled me to spend enough time at these three historic pilgrimage sites. Anu and Debasish prioritized my safety and comfort. I had naively thought that I could go with just a driver into rural Odisha. They knew better, and provided me with a guide to Chilika Lake. For that foresight I am very grateful. Debasish ensured that my needs were met, when hiccups arose at a rural hotel. Indeed, he constantly checked in with me, which was truly reassuring, because I did not hire a car from GeTS every day. Anu and Debasish divined that I needed a change from the many days of trudging through museums: so they arranged passes to the annual KONARK CLASSICAL DANCE PERFORMANCES, the CHANDRABHAGA SAND ART FESTIVAL, a train trip from Puri to Kolkata in the spanking new luxury VANDE BHARAT train, and, a memorable 3 day excursion to SUNDARBANS TIGER CAMP. I never had to call or check: different drivers and guides seamlessly met up and transferred me from Kolkata to the Gothkhali Jetty, to board the boat for the breathtaking trip to the furthest island. For my last seven days in Kolkata I had not booked a car, since I wanted to spend about 6 hours per day at certain museums. Yet, Debasish checked in with me every day. This was most reassuring, because as a native of tiny, laid-back Cape Town, I was often intimidated, but always exhilarated, by Kolkata’s busy streets abuzz with activities and sounds. GeTS Holidays had crafted a 30 day tour for me that is priceless: it has profoundly changed my ways of seeing and being. Faiza Leith, Cape Town 22.12.2023.

Golden temple and lowering of the flags ceremony
The experience was amazing. The golden temple was a highlight. Our guide made the experience better with her knowledge of the temple and provided insight into the history and details of the temple. The lowering of the flags was a very interesting event. Lots of pagentry and national pride. Overall a very good tour.

          Great experience
We were well taken care of; lovely drivers and local contact. There was flexibility with last minute tour change. Drivers did not get annoyed when we forgot stuff at the hotel eg wallet ( despite 1 hour in to the next leg of journey)

History we knew so little of
This monument is such a masterpiece of art and intricate carving. Do take a guided tour when visiting. It is enlightening. And if possible do watch the light and sound show which depicts the reason this masterpiece was built.

Today I had an amazing tour of South Delhi Heritage sites
The entire day was great, but the highlight was spending most of the morning at the Mehrauli Archeological Park, which housed the remains of a mosque complex and the Qutub Minar
My guide was very knowledgeable, and I learnt so much about the history of India and Delhi, as well the history of the archeological site
        I totally recommend this tour

I like the arranged plan and I picked 9am departure time. There were not lot of visitors in the park. We later went to two Hindu temples. I was in town during the nine day festival, I had chance watching a lot of singing. That was very nice. The disappointing part is the tour guide. I love history but we didn’t stay very long at the archeology park. Whatever information he provided in the park, I can easily get from Wikipedia. He seemed to be uninterested and constantly talking on the phone. I was the only one on this tour so it is not a heavy day for him. He told me that I could take pictures of deities inside the temple. When I took picture, everyone was yelling at me for doing it. He also disappeared half the time during lunch. Not sure if this is OK professionally. The driver is nice. I stayed at a hotel on a very busy street. I was happy that he took the time trying to navigate narrow ally ways so he can get me right to the hotel, instead of dumping me at nearby intersection like some Uber drivers did. However, on the way back, most time he was yelling loudly and angrily at someone on the phone. All in all, I would recommend the tour if you are lucky to have a good guide.
