      They did not reply.
I emailed them with request for dates and pricing information. They did not reply. Surprised by this, they seem very well established online. You cannot book in advance on their website so makes planning tours with them hard. I found another site Planet Amritsar which allows planning in advance and booking process is transparent!

      City on pedals- morning tour
City on pedals has been a beautiful jewel found on trip adviser. Not too many people know the walking tours which they offered to us at 4 am. We had to meet our guide outside of Harmandir saheb in the pristine hours of morning. We had a complete tour of 2.5 hours which took us from interiors of Harmandir saheb, the book ceremony, kitchen and ending it with warm tea! It was a mesmerizing experience with variety of stories of past and present times. The most fascinating place was kitchen. It was worth every minute! Must do!

Fantastic experience! Absolutely recommend this tour!
This review is so long over due. What a wonderful experience! I loved this tour. I can’t remember the guide’s name now, but she was fantastic—lots of personality, extremely knowledgeable, and knew so many people at the Temple. We got to see so much too—behind the scenes at the food kitchen, inside the Golden Temple itself, tea at the food kitchen. It was a magical experience in the dark hours of the morning. I enjoyed it so much that I booked another tour with her for the next day.

      Early morning walking tour
The star attraction of Amrtsar is always Golden temple but not too many people know that city on pedals offer a 4 am morning walk and 7 pm evening walk which includes the book ceremony, interior of Golden temple kitchen and the entire very interesting history and stories of Golden temple in all these years!! I had taken morning 4 am walking tour lasting about 2 to 2.5 hours. Loved the story telling method of information and Loved every minute of it!!

      Rememberinf Heritage
Last year, we had visited this historical and religious city of Amritsar. The new developed Heritage walking street, must be visited by every visitors. All heritage and religious sites are connected with one street. Best place for one day walk and full of eating places and shopping.

Book a tour with COP, you won’t regret it!
We took 3 tours with Sam from City on Pedals in our 2 days in Amritsar. We took the walking food tour, the Golden Temple tour, and the Village tour. All 3 were more than we could have expected! The food we tried on the food tour was delicious and we learned a lot about the city between stops. The Golden Temple tour was very informative and essential to our understanding of the temple’s significance. And the Village tour should be on every Amritsar visitor’s agenda. It’s an experience you just can’t get if you stay within the city. We met some of the kindest people, saw the beautiful agricultural side of the region, and had a delicious, home cooked lunch. We would recommend City on Pedals to everyone who visits Amritsar!

      Great introduction to Amritsar
I booked 5 Trips online. This was an easy process with good confirmation. The starting point of the Partition museum is less than ten minutes walk from the Golden Temple. Sam our guide was guide and he told us about the culture and heritage of the city. This included some hidden gems which we would not have found ourselves. This tour took us through side streets with a couple of food stops which was great. A great introduction and a great guide

I stayed in the hostel for 3 nights in one of their mixed luxury dorms. I totally liked my experience. This hostel also has wifi, common room with tv, and a workstation.
I booked 3 tours with them -mid-night Golden Temple visit, India border tour and bicycle heritage tour. All 3 were amazing. I highly recommend you mid-night Golden Temple tour. The nearby area is also good, you may simply step out of the hostel to try some street food and explore the local market.
    5 stars to this one!

Our family has lost Amritsari heritage and finding City on Pedals enabled us to take in the temples, tea stalls and winding back lanes of Amritsar to a depth we would never have achieved alone. Our absolutely fantastic guide, Rabia, was genial, informative and professional with a great sense of humour. We felt safe in her hands and her local knowledge revealed so much to us. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for us and City on Pedals did us proud. All I can say is, "just do it!"

This tour really made my visit to Amritsar come alive. To see so many of the "hidden gems" in the city that I would never have seen by myself. The tour guide, Aman, clearly enjoyed his job and knew so many interesting facts about the places we visited. I even booked the tour at very short notice (the night before!) and they were happy to accommodate me. I'll definitely do this tour again the next time I'm in Amritsar! A must for all visitors to this lovely city.

As a full-time travel writer, I enjoy exploring popular tourist traps, along with finding local, hidden gems. Recently, I visited India for the first time and one of the cities that I explored was Amritsar. I wanted to see the Golden Temple along with other tourist attractions, but I was also very interested in finding cool, local places to sightsee, take photos and to eat.

One memorable early morning, I went on a fantastic bicycle tour with City on Pedals. Rishab and Michelle (the founders) were amazing! I learned so much about the history of Amritsar, visited some fantastic spots that I would have otherwise never seen, ate the most delicious street food and met so many small business owners (generation to generation businesses) that it was definitely worth sacrificing a little beauty sleep. Actually, I’m all about supporting locals and through this bike tour, this is possible; plus, you get to see more of the city in a short amount of time. And all the while you keep active while having fun.

This bike tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Amritsar and it totally made me fall in love with the city, it’s people, the Amritsari food, culture and especially the off-the-beaten path sites visited. I highly recommend it.

The Hidden Secrets Cycle Tour and Golden Temple are must do activities when in Amritsar.

You will see sights and learn things that even lifelong residents of Amritsar do not know. It is definitely worth skipping that 6th kingfisher, setting your alarm and getting up early to enjoy these tours and the warm hospitality of this company and the people of Punjab.

I would like to say a huge thanks to Rishab for accommodating me at literally the last minute (I’m sorry for waking you up) and to Amandeep for 2 great Tours and for kindly giving me lifts to the start of the bike tour and to my hotel. The ride on a back of a scooter was an experience in itself.

Thanks and best wishes! I look forward to following your success on social media and be reminded of a truly unique birthday :)

Tour started at 6 AM (when it was not boiling hot). We rode to and around the old walled city, saw some interesting spots, then ended with a local breakfast. Guide was insightful. Amritsar is not the cleanest city in the world, so I spent a lot of time trying to dodge trash.

I really had a very short time in hand to explore Amritsar and luckily I got to know about City on Pedals. Cycling is my passion and hence I got a chance to explore the city in a very unique and healthy way. I got to explore things which were not really mentioned anywhere on the internet. The guide who accompanied me was very knowledgable and welcoming and explained everything in a subtle way. The food which we had in between the tour was just awesome.
I really want to thank city on pedals for making my Amritsar tour very special and fun. This tour is something which I will cherish entire my life. Hope you will start your ventures in different cities of India as well.

We found out about CityOnPedals at the last minute in another blog while researching activities in Amritsar. With a free morning in our agenda my husband and our 2 kids decided to try the heritage tour. Not only did Rishab and his staff reach out to help us with our itinerary, he also arranged a pick up/return after our tour. We learned so much about Amritsar’s past while exploring the now. The food was amazing and biking through the neighborhoods helped us feel connected even though we’re not from here. Would highly recommend this when in Amritsar!
