About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- juliesA3003GM0 contributionsBeautiful scenery, terrible guideThough the trek is nice and the views are amazing, we had a bad experience overall. After booking and paying on Get Your Guide, we were contacted by the team and fell into a never ending back and forth ahead of the tour: over 20 messages and 35 photos (including from previous guests) from their end to try and sell us additional tours. Getting to a final meeting point and time was also a pain: it felt like several people were handling the same conversation without checking previous messages. What first seemed to be a full day activity turned out to be a half day and, as a result, way pricier than other options. It would have all been fine if the experience on the day was good. Our guide, Raveendra K., started the tour without a word. No « hello », no introduction of any kind, didn’t ask for our names, didn’t give his. The answer to most of our questions was « I will tell later » and when the explanation came it was very succinct. For most of the trek, he was walking way ahead of us and didn’t necessarily help for the few parts that were a bit more challenging. During the breaks that we took to drink water, have a bite and enjoy the view, he was on his phone loudly arranging bookings and activities for other guests. Not sure it's worth climbing that high and immersing yourself in nature to bare with someone else’s phone conversations. When not on the phone, he was being very pushy to sell additional tours. Overall, the selling time was greater than the time he actually spent explaining anything. He also took plenty of pics of us trekking for promotional purposes. It was very clear that tourists were only a way of making money, which is fair, but it’s also fair from us to expect a win-win relationship where we get an agreable and insightful experience in return. Cherry on the cake, we had an incident 2/3rd in the trek when we came across tribal men who were collecting honey on the hills. Our guide chatted with them in Malayalam (which we don’t understand) and then came to us and asking for 2000 rupees that he said he would give us back once in Munnar. Seeing how puzzled we were, he explained that he wanted to buy honey but didn’t have enough. By that point, the trust was broken but we accepted to lend 1000 rupees. He was visibly unhappy to not get the full amount and immediately reverted to two of the men who started following us, still carrying their machetes. We are three women and even though we didn’t communicate then, all of us felt unsafe at that point. In the end it was fine but we wouldn’t recommend this tour for solo women travellers as, if you get a guide like Raveendra who doesn’t communicate, you are likely to experience this kind of worry which is the last thing you want on a holiday, especially when in a remote area. Of course he tried to leave without remboursing us upon arrival and we had to nearly drag him to the atm. Never again.Written 14 March 2025
- rohank7320 contributionsIncredible views and authentic experiencesWe did a jeep safari with Charlie who was super nice and took us to an incredible river to lay back and swim, then to some waterfalls and finally the beautiful elephants in Anakulam. Very receptive to our needs and tailored the day for us very well.Written 27 February 2025

- Ronanlangenberg0 contributionsNot great, unpassionateSo, I am sorry to write this but honesty above all.... This was not what we expected, neither did the other 2 from the group. While the viewpoints are really nice and the trek is fine, we felt like we did not really learn a lot from Ravindra (our guide) about tea. There was only one proper moment of a bit of explanation about the different leafes and history (in quite poor English), but thats it. In general the guide was not passionate at all or warm in his guidance. He was also calling a lot in Hindi while hiking and resting, which was quite irritating. Also, when explaining some things a long the way, he did not wait for the whole group, so we missed out on some information. Also, during the trek he was doing his 'sales', which is a bit the Indian way, but wasn't really appreciated. These are just tiny things, but they added up. Also, we passed the group of female workers who were drying the tea, but those were exactly the moments when he needed to stop and share information about the tea process. It felt like a normal trek with a unpassionate tru the feelds and to the mountain peak.Written 26 January 2025

- G2365FHflorianr0 contributionsAmazing tea estates and mountain hikeThe Munnar tea track with Chandru was an amazing experience! He took us to the highest peak in walking distance, and even during foggy and rainy weather we had a nice and active hike around the Munnar tea estates. He was friendly and trustful and offered us some power snacks and water :) thank you so much!Written 14 December 2024
- NorthStar513584017580 contributionsAn awesome trek in MunnarMe and my son trekked to the top of Letchmi hills on Aug 20 amidst misty afternoon that soon turned into light rain showers. It is a moderately difficult climb specially in rains. It took us almost 2.5 hours. Our guide Praveen from Pugmark Adventures was calm and patient. He helped me through the patches of slippery steep climb and also introduced us to local flora and fauna. It is a must do on our list when we are in Munnar next.Written 24 August 2024
- Lise C0 contributionsSuperb hikeThe estate is breathtaking. Wonderful trip to the top of the hill for breakfast. Great to hear from a very knowledgeable local guide about the history, sociology and politics of not only the tea estate but Munnar itself. Pradeep is energetic and friendly. Tea museum was a bit small but informative. We couldn't get the best of the museum due to holiday season crowd. The hike is definitely the highlight of the trip! Pradeep arranged the hotel pick up and drop off as well, which was very helpful!Written 30 March 2024
- Sightseer089800873580 contributionsAmazing view of the munnar mountains and tee plantationsThe guide really knows a lot about the munnars mountain and the nature around the tee plantation. We took a less tourist route and was completely alone for 70% og the time. Can strongly recommend this hike and guideWritten 18 January 2024
- Relax472680573580 contributionsSo lucky & grateful we found this company for exploring Munnar! We are absolutely thrilled with our 1-day trek with Pradeep in the mountains around Munnar. Pradeep was extremely responsive and easy to schedule with, and when I told him we're people interested in nature and wildlife, he took us on the perfect trek - to a stunningly beautiful trail that wound through jungle and ridgelines. Pradeep is extremely knowledgeable, and also a truly caring person who knows how to connect with others. He's a lovely person who also truly cares about Munnar, and its natural beauty. We are so lucky we got in touch with this small company - they are truly amazing! Thank you Pradeep for being such a truly wonderful person, and sharing such a great adventure with us! - Allison & JamieWritten 16 January 2024

Big big No to any spice garden, you can visit but don’t buy from them as they will charge more from customers and give 30 percent cut to the driver. Elephant ride, your cab driver gets cut.Written 18 September 2023

This trip was great! My guide was Mr. Kumar. We started at 0830 and finished around 1820. We followed the schedule as listed on Tripadvisor so that was accurate and added extra stops.
I think the tour would normally end around 1700 but our tour finished later because Mr. Kumar generously offered to drive me an extra 10-20 km to try and see elephants at Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary (unfortunately we did not get to see elephants but we did see bisons, deers, languars, and an eagle). We also stopped in one of the towns in Marayoor to enjoy tea and cake on our way back. We had all the weather conditions on our tour which I really enjoyed personally - there was atmospheric fog, rain, and sunshine. We visited all the places on the scheduled itinerary and had lunch at a restaurant around 1pm (food was Kerala thali). I was able to see Nilgiri Tahr at Eravikulam and an eagle, bison, deers, peacocks, and languars at Chinnar. Mr. Kumar was professional and may drive an extra 10-20km upon kind, advanced request.
I would like to add for anyone interested in this trip, if you suffer from motion sickness, bring medicine because the drive is VERY windy and the bus ride in Eravikulam is a bit chaotic (from an American perspective). Also bring cash AND card to pay for the entry fees, food, and souveniers. You may also want to bring a rain jacket.
