        Pleasant hike with tasty lunch
Ramesh is a nice man and a pleasant guide. He is happy to share his knowledge about all kinds of plants and trees you see on your hike. He is patient and understanding. We were lucky to enjoy a lunch prepared by his wife. The food was delicious! Thank you for a nice hike through the tea plantations of Munnar. Hope to hike with you again some time.

        Overpriced
The sunrise at the end is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking, but overall, this tour felt extremely overpriced for what it offered—essentially just transportation and guided walk to the viewpoint. There was no water provided, which was disappointing. As a solo traveler, I also found the guide to be quite distant, so this experience might be better suited for couples or groups. The hike up takes about 30 minutes, and it’s in completely darkness.. The only light came from the guide’s phone, which felt quite unprofessional—having a proper torch would have made a big difference. Because of the poor lighting, I accidentally stepped into a huge muddy puddle, soaking my trainers and leggings. Near the top, the trail became very slippery, and I actually hurt my ankle at one point. Additionally, no one prior warned me about how cold it would be. It was freezing, and on the drive back, the car doors were left open, making it even worse—I was literally shivering the entire way. I’d also recommend bringing your own breakfast, as I was starving by the time I got back to the hotel. While the view at the top was stunning, the overall experience didn’t match the price I paid. I left feeling a bit disappointed.

Energizing hike with amazing views and guide
This is a must-do hike in Munnar! We started at 9am and finished at 4pm, with an easy-medium hike across 7 hills (including Munnar’s fifth tallest mountain) and tea plantations. The views are phenomenal. Our guide Raj was fantastic in setting the pace according to the group, and gave in-depth explanations on Munnar’s history, industries, tea cultivation, people’s way of life, and of the different plants we came across along the tour. The tour included two water bottles per person and delicious lunch + snacks prepared by Raj’s wife. The hike is on dirt and rock, so participants should at least wear athletic shoes (preferably hiking shoes) with clothes accounting for warmth and sweat. For those with the stamina and decent athleticism, the full hike is recommended for the views, exercise, and learning from the guide, Raj!

        Raja is amazing
Went on an amazing tour with Raja, great guide, outstanding views. Encountered a swarm of bees and like the duo hero he is Raja saved the day by telling us all to get down. Absolute hero. On a serious note he was really lovely and very insightful and would love to go back again to see the views (Raja) and also the 360 degree views of Munnar.

        Perfect Day!
Lou Reed sang ‘Perfect Day’. That’s what our day with Munar.info was! We did a 7 hours walk with King Raja as guide. An excellent guide with a lot of knowledge about plants, animals and environment. Great to listen to! Sturdy walk with enough breaks and a wonderful impression of tea culture in Munar. Recommended!!

        Fantastic tour with Raja.j
We had a super few hours walking through the tea plantations and then onto the ridge . Raja.J really looked after us with lots of delicious snacks and caring for us when a large bison was near by! Which added to the adventure!! He had some great tales and was very knowledgeable about the birds and flowers . Thank you so much . A must do activity in Munnar

Fab day out in the tea plantations
I had a fabulous day out to Munnar, had excellent stops for breaks on the way, including a lovely breakfast and then interesting walk around spice / medicinal gardens with a very well informed guide, Julie. My driver Mithun stopped off at other various stops and was happy to pull over for additional photo opportunities at my request. The tour around the tea plantations was amazing, he knew all the best view points! Was a very friendly, but courteous guy and I’m now planning to return to Munnar later during my stay in Kerala to Munnarinfo.in hotel and go on their walking tours.

Highly recommend our guide Mani who make are trip particularly pleasant and motivated us to book an additional trip, knowing he would be our guide. He was so helpful, patient, pleasant throughout, making our almost full day journey truly enjoyable. The Jeep was also great. The elephants arrived too late for us to see them at night (though Mani would have been happy to stay with us as long as it would have taken), but we did not really mind. Munnar is truly spectacular.

We booked our trip through Munnar info.in. Everything was done over the phone, booking was done through online link, which was provided by the business. Booking confirmation was sent through WhatsApp.

Mr. Suresh was our driver/guide. He is a very punctual and kept us informed about the timing throughout our trip. I have asked him a lot of questions regarding the sites, plantation, animals, culture, and more. He has answered everything best to his knowledge. We highly recommend him as a tour guide.
If you are looking to enjoy the nature and end your day by looking at majestic crowd of elephant then this is your trip.

We got so lucky and saw 12 elephants. They started coming out at around 4:30PM in little groups.

My family and I were unsure what to expect on this tour. My mom is older and not fond of narrow roads. My sister gets distracted after 5 sentences into a story. Yet, we enjoyed our experience learning about the life / culture of people in Munnar, tea estates and production, and land uses across Munnar’s beautiful landscape. Our tour guide Ganesh went above and beyond ensuring to go over bumps slowly for my mom and providing ridiculously delicious homemade tea during the tour. My family decided to go back to our hotel instead of waiting for the elephants to show. Even without the elephants, my family and I had a great time and recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see different landscapes of Munnar and get a glimpse of the culture that embodies this beautiful town. Also, for anyone unsure of the jeep that is used on the tour, my family preferred the jeep on Munnar’s narrow roads than the van that we took to arrive from the airport to our hotel. We felt safer since the Jeep is able to maneuver better than a sedan or bigger vehicle

My partner and I were staying outside of Munnar in Bison Valley. We thought that would make it difficult to find a tour but we contacted MunnarInfo through WhatsApp and they said they'd be able to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel with a small additional fee.

Surya picked us up in the morning, we stopped off in Munnar for a visit to the temple and breakfast in a nearby restaurant - which we loved! Served on a traditional banana leaf. We stopped by at a tea plantation and waterfalls before lunch.

Our lunch was fantastic! An incredible thali showcasing local Kerela food. Only issue was there was far too much!! Just as we were finishing our lunch, Mani (another tour guide who was with us) heard news that elephants were at the watering hole. We were rushed into our jeeps and driven (very quickly) to the watering hole. A very adventurous drive. We arrived with enough time to see an elephant cooling down in the water.

For the rest of the afternoon Surya took us to see some more waterfalls, stopping at view points and bridges along the way. We did not expect the jeep to be driven through a river (which was another exciting surprise). The elephant caves were closed for a video shoot so instead were offered a complimentary bamboo raft ride, which was lovely. Finished up with swimming in the river before being dropped back to our hotel.

Would definitely recommend this tour to others! Surya and his team have perfected this daytrip and as foodies we had some of the best Kerelan food on this trip!

Unfortunately the company cancelled our elephant tour because of the weather, they swapped our trip to the dry forest instead.

On completion of booking, the company contacted us in advance and added some extra trips on alternative days. The companies manager was very pleasant, it was a little confusing because multiple people from the office were contacting me in advance on WhatsApp.

We were unfortunately disappointed with the service after comparing it to other companies we used.

You’re paying for a driver to take you from place to place and you are paying more than if you hired a driver yourself. Getting from A-B is not a tour with a tour guide like we expected, it’s a means of transportation.

We bumped into our driver from Fort Kochi on the way to Munnar, he explained the tour he was doing in the same area and we were sad that we hadn’t cancelled and stuck with them. We also met back up with some friends we had made in Fort Kochi and they had seen lots of wild elephants over the same time period that we were in the area so again we were disappointed that part of our trip had been cancelled.

The tea plantation and dry forest were both absolutely fantastic, those tours are provided by the individual places themselves, again this tour company just provides transport with an occasional stop at a waterfall besides the road.

Our drivers were very pleasant, the cars were clean and they drove well, but it was very obvious that their job was simply to get us from A-B so we were disappointed with this.

The route is planned, I presume with incentives for the company, the spice garden was an aggressive sales woman trying to pedal overpriced treatments which was a shame because other companies we used for the rest of our holiday purposefully avoided these kind of places.

There were so so many amazing looking food options available on route, we unfortunately were taken to a Chinese restaurant on our first day with the company which we unfortunately didn’t enjoy. We asked the manager if we could specifically not to be taken back to the same restaurant again for lunch because we didn’t want to eat Chinese or fusion food (nothing against Chinese food but I want to eat local food while I’m in India), but we were taken back to the same restaurant so ended up missing lunch because of it one day. I’m fairly certain we also missed lunch an additional day because of traffic so were left eating little snacks that we picked up in the late afternoon instead of a meal.

It was our intention to see the tiger reserves however we decided to not go along with the additional trip as we didn’t want to do it through the company.

The drivers were very pleasant and it’s not their fault that I’m writing a poor review, as were all the staff. I’m very pleased that we saw the tea plantations and the dry forest.
I think we were mislead that the trips would be with an actual tour guide.

Unfortunately we had a far superior service with other companies.

We had an unforgettable experience on the Anakkulam Wild Elephant Village Tour with our amazing guide, Suresh. The day was filled with breathtaking views and a deep connection to nature that we'll cherish forever.

Suresh went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. He made an extra effort to find elephants, and we were thrilled when we finally spotted them in a tea plantation. The sight of these majestic creatures against the backdrop of the lush green tea fields was truly epic.

From the scenic jeep ride through the village to the thrill of spotting wild elephants, every moment was magical. The peaceful ambiance of the village and the warmth of the local people added a special touch to our day.

If you're looking for a unique and immersive experience in Munnar, I highly recommend this tour. It's a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, and Suresh's dedication and expertise truly enhanced our journey.

Thank you for a wonderful day that we'll never forget!

Surya was our driver and let me tell you, he was amazing.
First of all, it’s NOT really a safari in the sense of driving through the forest and seeing animals. It’s a tour.
Because the name stated safari, I expected a bunch of animals included elephants. So the beginning of this tour was slow and confusing. BUT I wouldn’t change a thing.
Surya took us to his home in a small village that is a part of the Tata tea plantation. We learned about his family who works for the Tata tea plantation. He served us some delicious fresh tea. We were grateful for his hospitality.
Next, we made 2 quick stops at a church and Mandir in town. The best part was that we could spend as little or as much time as we wanted. Surya never rushed us.
The next stop was the tea plantation. It was raining so Surya generously let us borrow his umbrella. We walked amongst the tea plants get to a view point. We’re not sure if we actually got to the view point but the scenery was beautiful and mesmerizing despite the rain.
After this, Surya suddenly made a stop and told us to walk for 2 km. We were surprised but it was the best walk ever. We took our time, enjoyed the scenery, took pics with/without the tea plantations, etc. If you can’t walk long distances, this isn’t for you, but we LOVED it. One of our favorite moments.
Next were the Viripara waterfalls and Tiger cave stops which we couldn’t do bc they were closed due to the rain.
      No problem though.
We got a delicious lunch with Kerala thali and another entree at a nearby hotel. The drives through the forest were amazing.
We drove to the elephants next and Surya rushed us there once he got the call that the elephants were in town. We got to sit and watch these beautiful creatures amongst the other tourists.
Next came the drive through the river. This was so unexpected and felt almost like an amusement park ride. So thrilling. The jeep stalled so we got adventurous and walked upstream the river. We got some uninvited guests in the form of leeches. Surya helped us get rid of them.
Then it was time to head back home. But wait, the tiger cave was open and oh my!! That was the best part of this trip. I’ll let you experience that moment for yourself.
Before heading home, we made a last stop for the spice garden. It did cost 100 rupees per person but informative regarding Ayurvedic treatment. I wouldn’t recommend buying there as it is very expensive.
We got home about 9 hours later and we had the best time during our Munnar trip.
Definitely recommend. If you can ask for Surya, please do. He’s friendly and knowledgeable and explained a lot throughout the tour.

We had wanted a day trip in Munnar, that specifically focused on tea plantations and elephant spotting. Ganesh made it possible for us! He was a local and so welcoming, sharing a lot of his personal experiences which made us feel at home and taught us a lot. He was also a very safe driver, especially when we experienced heavy rainfall. He made us feel very safe, and was so patient and a joy to be around! All in all, he made our whole trip!

What a brilliant trip! Munnar is stunning, woth majestic mountains an boulder strewn rivers round each bend. We started at the hydroelectric dam, saw Munnar town, then drove and walked though the tea plantation covered mountains, guided by our guide Ganesh who was very interesting and informative. We stopped for a tea break with cake at a little brook. Then the day got more and more exciting, with a chance to bathe at the waterfall in the clear fresh water, climb around boulders to the tiger cave, and finally see a family of wild elephants bathing (from a safe, non-intrusive distance!). The last thrill was a drive through a river in the jeep! We had an absolutely delicious Keralan meal around half way. Ganesh was charming, friendly and really interesting, but also happy to let us explore. We were a group of women in our 50s-60s and had a fantastic day, feeling like we had really got to see Munnar. Ask for Ganesh if you can, he was really lovely.

      Highly recommend.

Suresh picked us up from our hotel and took us around for the whole day. He took us to a small town where we had fresh teas and then up into the hills to see then plantations. We were able to walk along the plantations, taking in the scenery.

Suresh also took us to waterfalls, hanging bridges, caves and somewhere fantastic for lunch where we had a superb curry!

We managed to finish off the day watching elephants in their watering hole before heading back to our hotel.

The view cannot recommend this trip enough. Furthermore, Suresh, was brilliant as a tour guide - full of knowledge & advice and made us feel comfortable to take our time whilst taking in the sights.

      10/10 Experience
