      Few hours of green Munnar
The walk through the tea plantations was very nice and Mani is a wonderful guide. He is patient and explains everything with enthusiasm. I really recommend this tour if you want to escape for a few hours in the beautiful green hills of Munnar.

      Amazing morning, lots of ingot
We loved every second of our tour. Raja the guide knows so much information about the history of tea and the plants themselves, he even showed us which part of the plants are used for which tea. We really loved stopping for our tea tasting as well, I think we all asked for how he made it. The factory was really interesting as well, a real insight into how it’s made.

Tea Tour with King Raja – A Must-Do in Munnar
King Raja made our private tea tour unforgettable. He quickly accommodated our last-minute schedule change and welcomed us warmly. Walking through Lockhart Tea Plantation, he shared fascinating insights about its history and tea-making. He even shared significance of the other plants and trees in a tree plantation and how they aid the workers and the tea trees. When it rained, he was prepared with an umbrella. At the factory, he explained every step of the process before we enjoyed a tasting of five teas. As a special touch, he treated us to delicious black masala tea made by his wife. His passion and hospitality made this experience truly special—we’d gladly do it again! 10/10 recommend King Rajas trip.

The most wonderful walk in nature and history
The hiking was amazing, I had a really wonderful experience. My guide, KingRaja, was very competent and nice: I learnt a lot about the tea plantations while having the most great time in the nature. Breakfast and lunch were amazing and I enjoyed the food that Gowri, Kingraja’s wife, prepared for us. I really recommend this experience to anyone that loves long walks in the nature and history pills about Munnar and this area of Kerala.

Amazing guided walk through beautiful tea fields
Samy was a really pleasant and enthusiastic guide! Great English and paced the hike well. It was hot that day so we were grateful for the breaks and the scenic picnic at the halfway point. Views were stunning and the route for the half day was very manageable. Would definitely recommend!

This tour in Munnar was absolutely incredible, especially the secret spot where we witnessed a breathtaking sunrise. The 4km trek was made even more enjoyable by our fantastic guide, Surya, who was not only cheerful and knowledgeable but also ensured we explored all the best viewpoints and hidden gems of the area. His guidance and enthusiasm made the entire experience unforgettable, and the combination of stunning landscapes and expert insight truly made this tour worth it. Highly recommended!

Raja took us on a short hike through the tea plantation next to the Munnar Info point. He shared with us his knowledge of the local herbs and plants that we encountered on our hike and explained the history behind the tea plantation and the harvesting and processing of the tea leaves. It was super interesting and we enjoyed our hike through the beautiful landscape. Raja is also a great photographer and took some very nice pictures of us during sunset on top of the hill. The tour lasted ~2h, and we highly recommend it!

Our guide, Mr. Raja was so kind and knowledgeable. He explained everything from start to finish- how tea leaves are picked and processed, how the tea fields are managed, and also pointed out different types of other plants on our hike. To top it off, he took us to a private sunset photo spot (no crowds at all) and brought us some hot tea to finish off the tour. Such an amazing experience- would highly recommend Mr. Raja aka Mr. King.

We were unable to participate in this walk to our great disappointment as tropical rain set in prior. We therefore cancelled 45 minutes before the start time by Whatsapp to which we did not get a reply. Followed by 2 phonecalls which were not answered and an email. Also unanswered.
We had asked the walk organisers to arrange a taxi to pick us up. They infact organised a tuk tuk which they did not cancel but sent 10 minutes early and messaged us to say it had arrived and was outside our hotel! By the time we reachedthe hotel reception the Tuk Tuk had disappeared.
Inefficient or sharp practice, I am not sure which. (We never did receive any acknowledgement of our cancellation.)

Unlike the half day hike this was a real disappointment. Basically you are taken on a short walk, given a snack, walk along a road for far too long, brought to a place among tea plantations to see the sunset. Not worth it.

Absolute scam, booked on line ,got confirmation , proceeded to the meeting point as per the site location identified on Google Maps before 4.30pm as the tour was scheduled to start @ 4.30, local driver took me to the start point, waited 15 mins, nobody showed up. Even asked locals about this trip, no one knew anything,so left.
So then i get a text and call about the trip @ 5.02 pm with a new location point which was about another 30 mins away. The tour was from 4.30pm to 6.30 pm....so how was i to make it if you are sending me a new location at 5.00pm ? Huh . Requested a refund , dont think they are going to give back anything!!

We went on a sunny, clear day, and the views did not disappoint! Our tour guide Raja.J was amazing! Incredibly knowledgeable and funny, we got to learn a lot about the flora and fauna of, and around Munnar. Further, his family ties to the area really brought the history to life. The hike is a short, easy one, but I’d recommend wearing some sort of leggings, as flowy dresses/skirts/pants can get stuck on the vegetation.
Overall, we had an amazing time and left with some amazing photographs, I would highly recommend it!

Wonderful walk through beautiful plantations with explanations from a friendly guide. Requires average fitness (it is an uphill walk). By the time we reached the top of the hill, the sun was setting quickly so the guide hailed a tuk tuk to take us back down, instead of walking, as he said it’s safer than walking on the road in the dark. Wasn’t expecting that but it was no big deal. The tuk tuk cost just a buck or two. We were just two couples so it was nice and intimate. Unfortunately the other couple didn’t tip the guide and we felt that was poor form. These people barely eke out a living. Great experience with great photo ops. Highly recommended!

A delightful, well-paced evening walk of about 6km, though up and across the valley, through the nearby village, so we saw how daily life was unfolding at the end of the day and then through the vividly green tea plantations. We were a small group of 4, and we were all provided with a litre of water before we set off. The guide was well-informed about nature, the local customs and history, the hydro-electric schemes and also about tea cultivation and processing. He loves walking and his enthusiasm for the area and the environment was evident. Much of the first half of the walk was uphill, which made for many stunning views and great look out points across different parts of the valley. Even though the sunset disappeared behind mist at the crucial point, this didn't spoil the walk. The flowering jacaranda, African tulip trees and the coral trees provided lots of colour. The last part was along roads in the dusk, and he guided us safely along them to the starting point.
