She provided insightful information about history, architecture, and archaeology, paying meticulous attention to every aspect. The walk was carefully planned, showcasing an ideal mix of locations that complemented the stories. I would definitely suggest this experience and would be eager to participate again.Written 19 February 2025

Whether it was about the cuisine, history, architecture, or archaeology, Hinaz paid close attention to every detail. The trail was thoughtfully organized, featuring a perfect selection of foods and locations that intertwined with the narratives, making it even more meaningful to hear stories from the locals and chefs running the establishments we visited. If you don’t participate, you’ll definitely miss out on something special. I would recommend it and would love to join again.Written 18 February 2025

- 648ayushj0 contributionsMakeItHappen is the best!Have done tours with other companies in Goa, but MakeItHappen really stands out in terms of content quality, professionalism, and hospitality. Their walk leaders are well-trained and passionate, with in-depth knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of Goa’s culture and history. Booked a Fontainhas Walking Tour for my parents this time. Vaibhav, the walk leader, was super kind in accommodating their special needs, ensuring their engagement inspite of language limitations. He even offered to drop them off at the hotel after the walk. Hinaz, from the MIH team, was also extremely considerate. Awesome, trustworthy people! Would love to go on more tours with them every time I am in Goa!Written 17 February 2025
- 142aishwaryas0 contributionsMust do experience in Goa to understand history and Goan culture.Vaibhav was a fun tour guide with great storytelling experience. He explained the historical significance of the buildings and the streets with stories. His sketches are beautiful as well! Overall the experience was well organised and was on time. The group size was perfect too. Loved the snacks and Goan songs at the end of the experience.Written 17 February 2025
- Sorina A0 contributionsInteresting tourOur guide, Rachana, is a history buff so she could tell us in detail about all the places we visited. Her command of english is really good and she kindly waited for me a little bit longer because I had troubles finding a taxi. I really liked how the tour ended, with a sweet local old man singing for us oldies but goldies accompanied by his acoustic guitar.Written 16 February 2025

- Trip480150158080 contributionsHappy and Tasty LearningThis was just simply an enthralling 3 and a half hours with Pawan. We visited the church, and in its shadow, he told us in a delightful story book style of the relatively recent history of Goa, and as the tour progressed, he told us more of the ancient history, its leaders and legends. Interspersed with this we had three food stops sampling local delicacies, bread made in traditional ways and banana bread with five different flavoured accompaniments. He explained to us much about how life evolved in Goa and how different communities favour different foods and how houses have been constructed and temples have evolved. A trip which will take you away from the beaches and beer and give you an enjoyable way to learn more about where you are staying.Written 15 February 2025

The food and feni were really good. Gave an insight into tasty vegetarian Goan food. Had a great time connecting with the others on the tour too. The guide Pavan did a good job.

The Feni and tapas tour is really good. You get amazing cocktails made of Feni, but the best thing is the food: each restaurant gives you at least two different tapas to taste. They're all delicious!
Venicia was a great tour guide, explaining a lot of the history of Goa throughout the tour, instead of focusing only on the food.
Definitely recommend!

My friends and I all agreed this was one of the best tours we attended on our holiday! (Along with the temples and coconut farm)
Made so informative and special by Mr Bu (aka Vaibhav) and a special appearance of our new friend Pritam.
The food in each place was outstanding and we loved getting to try feni in lots of different cocktails all whilst learning more about the history of Panjim.
The value for money on this tour is incredible and you get to feel like old friends as you visit places to eat and drink.
We can’t recommend highly enough! Fun, food and drinks what more can you want?

The Feni-Tapas trail along Fontainhas-Panjim, exploring Feni and Goan Culinary was a delight. Petulla the host arrived on time inspite of heavy rains. As a solo traveller I enjoyed the trail with great story telling skills by Petulla. Fish Cutlets, Feni, at Kokum Curry was awesome. Viva Panjim, Venite were our next hops and the foods were yummy, Prawns, Goan Curry et all...topping it with cocktails, Coconut based or Cashew Feni. Great storytelling skills by Petulla made it enjoyable and should be on everybody's To-do list on visits to Panjim!

If you are looking for a really immersive and intimate dining experience in the streets Panjim and the Old Latin Quarter in Goa, we recommend you to check out the Feni and Tapas Food Trail by Make It Happen.
As the name suggests, you'll get to try out some yummy concoctions made with Feni - The local liquor produced from cashews. And pair it up with some delectable finger foods, that will elevate your evening to a different level all together.
You'll get to try some Feni based cocktails such as Feni Mojito at Club Vasco Da Gama, Feni Maria at Kokum Curry, Feni Island Time at Panjim Inn and the Original Feni Cocktail - Feni Limca at Viva Panjim.
Along with tasty Goan Snacks such as Prawn Resois, Beef Croquettes, Breadfruit Rawa Fry, Raw Banana wafers, Goan Chicken Roast, Brinjal Fry and finish it off with a heart meal comprising of some of the most famous Goan food dishes such as, Pork Vindaloo, Chicken Xacuti and Vegetable Caldhine with Goan Pao.
We had Petulla as our Storyteller for the Feni and Tapas Trail and she was an amazing host. Not only did she share some interesting tales and history behind certain places and food items, she had an amazing personality as well. Which was the cherry on top. What I loved, was how, she was proactively in touch with me, prior to the tour, to make sure we reached the right spot, and she was very quick in answering a lot of queries both during the tour and post the tour.
PS - Use the code "AMMIH10" to get a flat 10% discount on the Feni and Tapas Trail and other awesome experiences, such as the Fontainhas Heritage Walk, Latin Quarter Food Trail, Old Goa Heritage Walk, Campal Heritage Walk, Chronicles of Divar Island with Lunch, among others by Make It Happen Goa.

It was truly a memorable experience and we highly recommend the tour. Charles was an excellent guide- he takes so much pride in his work and it shows in every story he told us, in every alley we stopped by and in every restaurant we visited. While the drinks and food were great (we loved all
the feni tastings) it’s really Charles storytelling and love for Goa that made this special.

This tour was well worth it. We had Venicia as our tour guide and she did an amazing job explaining the origins of Feni. The tasting included two types of Feni, with shots and Feni based cocktail. We visited 4 restaurants ( and she ensured that I had gluten-free options) with amazing tapas and the final restaurant included a full lunch which was delicious.

Had an incredible experience with Pawan as my guide for the Tapas and Feni Tour. I was a solo traveler and met a few others on the tour and we had so much fun. The drinks and food were so great, and the places we visited were full of charm and character. Pawan was a great guide and made the tour that much more special by introducing us to local recipes and culture. We even got to see an amazingly preserved, old local home and had home cooked food and home prepared feni cocktail. I highly recommend this tour!

We had the pleasure of being escorted by Pawan, who was exceptional. From the moment the tour started he was engaging and enthusiastic. He is more than a storey teller he is a master at his craft. The Feni and food tour was wonderful because it blended culture, fun, food, "feni" and history.
We could not have asked for a better introduction to Goan culture and would highly recommend this tour and this outstanding guide.

I was hosted by Venicia. I was initially hesitant as a solo female traveller but she did everything to make me feel welcome and safe! It felt less like a script and more like a conversation with friends but with great food, drinks and tales. She also had some great insight for local places too.
