- GrandTour680655432710 contributionsAn amazing tour that is unforgettableIt was a very fantastic tour with amazing view and experience. Overall, it was very well organised with good communication with Sophia who helped to provide the itinerary and the details of the tour. All the pickups in different locations were also well arranged. Amanda who was our tour guide in Zhangye and Dunhuang is our favourite as she is very friendly, caring and share with us a lot during the trip. All my friends were very satisfied with this tour with one saying is her best trip ever. I will definitely recommend my friends and relatives to XianTour if they are keen to go to China. Thumb up to Xian Tour!Written 11 March 2025
- joannelW6074PS0 contributions5 Day Private Leisure Guangzhou TourThis was our 3rd time with CXT and again, it didn’t disappoint! Our trip this time brought together 6 siblings (ages 80-89) and families to visit their father/grandfather’s home on Yanzhou Island and other places like Zhaoqing, Guangmen, etc. We also had the opportunity to feast on different Guangzhou cuisine. Big thanks to our guide Chris and bus driver Siao Qu who were both patient and helpful. Kudos to Grace who tailored this trip and accommodated all of our whims. CXT is highly recommended and we look forward to another China trip soon.Written 8 March 2025
- angelinacH8270XO0 contributionsPerfect in every way!Had a lovely experience with CXT in October 2024 and decided to book with them again for a private family holiday in Feb 2025. Once again, Kelly was amazing in arranging everything with great efficiency on very short notice. For the first week, there were 5 of us doing our foodie thing in Foshan, Shunde and this fantastically quaint village called Shangyue just over an hour north of Guangzhou (that my sister came across on a blogger's travelogue). Louise, our tour guide was very impressed that we had even heard of this place. Louise was very knowledgeable and is a proud Guangzhou resident; after knowing that we were foodies, even did some research on where to go for great food in Shantou and Chaozhou (our next destination) Then, when the "Swatow cousins" (Swatow being Teochew for Shantou) arrived - the "manageable" group became a rowdy, excitable gang of 9 cousins going back to our grandfather's ancestral village in Chenghai, Shantou in Guandong, the first time for most of us . Also the fact that we were meeting our Chenghai relatives for the first time, we didn't know what to expect. Well, the travel/sight-seeing itinerary was greatly condensed/rearranged but Nelson, our tour guide and Mr Jin the driver were flexible, patient and so helpful, especially as one of us had mobility challenges. I cannot praise Nelson enough - he was a god-send (with the patience of a saint but also firm when needed) As plans kept changing, he accommodated all the last-minute family reunion lunches, dinners and visits to the ancestral hall and grandpa's old house. Because of the exceptional circumstances of our group, Nelson was just the perfect guide and if I can only use one word to describe him, tht would be "kind". Thank you Nelson and thank you CXT for arranging another memorable holiday.Written 5 March 2025
- Thomas D0 contributionsGreat experience - great staffConnie is an excellent tour guide in Chengdu. The rest of the team is very accommodating and handled all the logistics very quickly and efficiently.Written 3 March 2025
- Thorsten P0 contributionsChengdu TourWe went with our tour guide Mia on a two full day tour including Wolong Panda base, Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain. Mia was already professional, efficient and knowledgeable. We highly recommend China Xi’an tour for your travels in China.Written 21 February 2025
- HelenN16070 contributionsMemorable tour to YunnanThis was our first time going to China by private tour, and we are glad that we made that choice. The travel consultant that we spoke with was very responsive to our questions, and arranged a great itinerary for us that accommodated our preferences and last-minute changes. We visited Kunming, Dali, and Lijiang in Yunnan. The natural scenery was majestic, the food was cheap and tasty, and its history and culture is rich. All of the tour guides took good care of us, followed what we wanted to see and do, helped us take great photos, and gave us good knowledge about the area. I highly recommend going on private tours with China Xian tours as they allow greater flexibility in arranging a customised tour that suit your personal preferences and needs at reasonable prices.Written 21 February 2025
- 449railik0 contributionsAmazing day with an awesome guide! We had an absolutely fantastic private tour with Noble! From start to finish, he made the experience unforgettable with his warm nature and his sense of humour kept us entertained throughout the day. His deep knowledge of the history and culture made every stop so much more meaningful. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and engaged, making it feel like we were touring with a friend rather than just a guide. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate guide, Noble is the one! Highly recommend to everyone!Written 17 February 2025

- Cruiser485662496740 contributions5 of us who are in our 60's and 70's had an incredible experience exploring Haikou and Sanya.Xian Tour provided impressive service right from the start of our WhatsApp inquiry with Sophia. Both the tour guide and driver were knowledgeable and sincere and made great efforts to make our trip enjoyable. We also appreciate their caring attitude, as safety is important to us, given our senior age. Apart from introducing us to the cities' culture, history, and attractions, they also recommended fantastic food at affordable prices. Kudos to Harry ( the tour guide) and Qi ( the driver).Written 5 February 2025
- fontainel6650 contributionsCustom CXT 12-day China Tour in Xi’an, Zhangjiajie & HarbinTwo distinct summaries below: one detailing our experience with the CXT team, and the other capturing the overall China tour experience. In June 2024, our family of six planned a 12-day Christmas tour of China (Dec 25, 2024 – Jan 5, 2025) and sought Nancy's help at China Xian Tour (CXT). We selected three key destinations: Xi'an, Zhangjiajie, and Harbin. From the get-go, Nancy displayed outstanding professionalism, promptly providing a detailed itinerary covering our stay duration, accommodations, transportation (including domestic flights, train and private mini-bus services), and activities in each city. Her attention to detail and quick responses made the planning process effortless. She also shared valuable pre-departure materials covering travel tips in China, airports and train station checking-in processes, mobile and internet usage, and all destinations' weather forecasts. The thoughtfully crafted itinerary allowed us to fully enjoy the unique charms of Xi'an (historical landmarks and cultural exploration), Zhangjiajie (breathtaking natural landscapes, including the famous Avatar mountains), and Harbin (winter snow festivals and stunning ice sculptures). Thanks to Nancy’s meticulous planning, our tour ran smoothly. Before arriving at each location, she provided the contact details of our tour guides and drivers, ensuring we felt prepared and confident throughout our journey. A private mini bus was always ready at each location which greatly enhancing our comfort. To note, during a transit in Changsha, a family member lost his phone with essential travel details. Nancy quickly contacted the local driver, who retrieved and returned it before our next departure—showcasing the exceptional care of Nancy and the CXT team. Nancy’s dedication and expertise made our 12-day China holiday a resounding success. Her prompt communication, problem-solving skills, and personalised service left a lasting impression. We highly recommend Nancy and China Xian Tour to anyone planning a trip to China! Now for the tour experiences and adventures!! Xi’an: Xi’an was a city brimming with history, culture, and captivating attractions. Our guide, Noble, was not only highly knowledgeable and fluent in English, but also exceptionally warm and friendly, making our experience even more enjoyable. The Terracotta Warriors was an unforgettable experience, offering us a rare glimpse into the grandeur of an ancient dynasty. We also had a blast tandem biking along the city wall, taking in the views of this historic city. And as for the food - Xi’an’s culinary scene was truly a highlight. Every meal was a delightful adventure, from the vibrant street food we discovered at every corner of the city. Our centrally located accommodation, Holiday Inn Express Bell Tower, made travel, dining, and shopping incredibly convenient, and the hotel breakfast was abundant, offering a wide variety of options to start our day. Zhangjiajie: It is evident why Zhangjiajie is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - the breathtaking natural scenery and unique mountain formations are truly one of a kind. Our guide was knowledgeable about the routes, leading us to quieter, scenic spots ideal for photography. However, their English proficiency was average, and they provided minimal cultural explanations, often requiring prompting and questions to share information. The two-day itinerary felt rushed, whereas a three-day tour would offer a more relaxed experience. Another area for improvement would be providing travellers with a clearer understanding of the walking requirements and the difficulty level of the hikes in advance. While our group was reasonably fit, there were moments when the steepness and terrain felt overwhelming. And whilst the Lanting Yaju Hotel was spacious and clean, the breakfast was disappointing, with mostly oily food options - it may not appeal to Western tastes. Harbin: Harbin’s renowned Ice and Snow Festival was truly spectacular, exceeding our expectations. These breathtaking displays showcased the artistry of world-class ice sculptors while reflecting the city’s rich Russian heritage and architectural charm. Our two-day tour was expertly guided by Flora, who was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Her fluent English and deep understanding of key attractions greatly enriched our experience. She even introduced us to a popular Russian restaurant, adding a cultural highlight to our trip. We stayed at the Moden Hotel, centrally located with over a century of history. While the location was convenient, the experience fell short of expectations. The furnishings were of poor quality, with some items already broken, and with the surrounding area there was many disruptions late into the night. The bathroom was particularly disappointing - the cramped half metre shower, enclosed by a flimsy curtain, made movement challenging, and water flooded the floor after each use. The bed was excessively firm and uncomfortable, further detracting from the overall stay. What made the experience even more unsettling was the eerie, almost spooky atmosphere that lingered in each of the rooms, which our entire group felt. Overall, this hotel did not meet the standards of a four-star establishment, and our group recommends that CXT reconsider its inclusion in future itineraries.Written 5 February 2025

Is there a group to join in on July 3 so it is not so expensive for one. Does this include the evening Kung Fu show?
