Wait for your guide in the lobby of your hotel, where you'll start your 8-hour tour with convenient pickup. Climb in to your comfortable tour vehicle and get to know your guide and small group on the way to your first stop: the Christ the Redeemer statue at the top of Corcovado Mountain. Get spectacular views over the city of Rio and snap photos with the iconic statue, featured in many films and television shows.
Next, head for Sugar Loaf Mountain, arguably the city's next-best view. You'll reach the top via glassed-in cable car, which makes for great photo ops along the journey.
Come down from the mountains into the historic neighborhood of Santa Teresa, home to stately mansions and a newer population of artists and craftspeople. Visit the Selaron steps, a work of colorful, hand-painted tiles by artist Jorge Selaron.
Head for the Metropolitan Cathedral, an impressive example of modernist architecture and center of Rio's large Catholic community. After your visit to the cathedral, sit down for lunch at a traditional Brazilian restaurant.
Finish your tour with drop-off back at your hotel.
