      love it here!!
Austin Rowing Club is fantastic! I had such a great time rowing on the Lake. The staff was super friendly and helpful, making the whole rental process a breeze. The boats and equipment were in excellent condition, which made for a smooth and enjoyable experience. Plus, rowing with the downtown Austin skyline as a backdrop is just amazing. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in Austin!

Great Time at Austin Rowing Club
Austin Rowing Club offers a fantastic experience for water enthusiasts in the heart of Texas. The staff here are not just knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly, making every visit memorable. During my recent kayaking session, I was impressed by their professionalism and enthusiasm. They provided thorough safety instructions and ensured everyone felt comfortable before setting out on the water.

Epic kayak day with an epic tour guide
My friends and I had a great time and much to our surprise did not get consumed by any Lady Bird Lake demons. My instructor Pedro was cheerful and made me feel like the best kayaker in the world. I wish I could take him home with me and make him accompany me on all my kayaking adventures.

Highly recommended way to see downtown Austin & the bats!! A+
Such an amazing way to see the bats at sunset!! Guides were great providing history and information of downtown Austin and the bats. I would highly recommend this - we were 65 and 58 years old and they were very helpful getting us in and out. The pier they offer makes a big difference. Easy to get to from the convention center too!

We took a sunset/bat viewing tour with Austin Rowing Club and had the best experience! The tour itself was organized well with plenty of people on hand to support our needs and answer questions. Our guide, John, was very knowledgeable of the sights we visited and history of Austin. We had an awesome time paddling around in the peaceful lake with the gorgeous backdrop of Austin cityscape!

Thank you to Austin Rowing Club for a fun-filled activity!

This kayaking tour was awesome. Our guide knew exactly what he was doing and you finish up by watching the bats! So cool! This is definitely a tour for all types of kayakers, so if you’re not a pro, they take you through every step. It’s at a slow and leisurely pace, so you can enjoy the views.

Had a great time. It was my first kayak ride and everything went smoothly. It's suggested to park at the Mexican American cultural center. Parking there was very reasonably priced but walking the trail back at night was dark and uncomfortable. Parking closer in a well lit area would have been better.

Had paid reservations and got a call 1 hour prior to tour with information that tour was canceled. Two different employees said they didn’t know why we were canceled. They refunded $ over the phone and we could hear the employees telling other customers that they could use dry bags for their tour tonight. ??? Hmm so we were we canceled? Not good customer service!! I would give them a rating of 1 and call another company so threat this does not happen to you. We leave tomorrow so no options for us. On our return trips to Austin we will definitely not call this company again.

Hi Julie! We never enjoy canceling a tour, however the guide for this tour did end up getting sick. For the safety of our staff and guests we had to cancel. We are sorry to do so, we did message you hours before though letting you know we needed to cancel. The people you heard on the phone were getting prepared for our hourly rentals. Again we are sorry for the cancellation.

Henry was a great, enthusiastic tour guide. We had great weather and went on the 7:15pm 2 hour kayak tour. The sunset on the river was beautiful and they did their best to ensure that we had history of Austin and we actually saw the bats fly at about 9pm. I would recommend this tour 😊

Really enjoyed this outing. Ethan was our guide; knowledgable and friendly. Talked about the bats, of course, but also sites we passed and stories about Austin. Taking off from the Rowing Club site is easy. I had not expected the substantial vegetation growing in the river/lake, so note that this makes part of the rowing a bit of a challenge. You may wonder about getting wet - Really not an issue; some water came up through the bottom of the kayak so shoes can get damp but mostly it was drips of water on my legs off the ore as I paddled. Do not expect to see bats up close, but seeing the odd million of them taking flight was certainly a unique experience.

What a great way to spend the evening! So beautiful and peaceful. Quinn was an excellent guide. He was fun, informative and genuinely invested in making certain everyone had a great time. And….we saw bats! As it turned out we enjoyed the kayaking time the best. The bats became a “nice to have”. I highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I went out for kayak bat tour on Friday and it was so much fun!! The team from ARC were so friendly, so energetic, and though the bats can be temperamental in the spring they came out in droves for us. I've seen the bats from the bridge, from the Statesman lawn, and other locations, but being on the water when they come out is really special. ARC is really the only way to see them as the other kayak rentals are too far away. Next time we have guests in town we are definitely back out on the water!!
