- amittaim20220 contributions⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Memorable Tour Experience with Ayyanar! My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of exploring Batu Caves and Genting Highlands with Ayyanar as our tour guide, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment we met Ayyanar, his warm and kind demeanor stood out. He wasn’t just informative but also incredibly expressive, bringing each destination to life with fascinating stories and insights. What we appreciated most was how patient and considerate he was—giving us ample time to enjoy every moment without ever feeling rushed. Ayyanar’s passion for his work is truly evident, and it made a huge difference in our experience. Whether it was navigating the vibrant Batu Caves or soaking in the breathtaking views at Genting Highlands, Ayyanar made sure every moment was special. If you’re visiting Kuala Lumpur and want a tour that blends fun, knowledge, and relaxation, Ayyanar is the guide to book! Our driver, Prabaz, was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond by sharing some fascinating history about Malaysia with us. He reached out to us even before we landed and was always available to answer the numerous questions we had and even helped us with the bags . His helpfulness made our trip much smoother and more enjoyable. I highly recommend them!Written 13 October 2024

- MikeTie0 contributionsGood for Half-Day TourInteresting perspectives on several of Malaysia’s major religious communities/shrines. Our guide, Sathesh, was knowledgeable and accommodating. He offered good options in case we didn’t find a tour aspect to our interest. You won’t get an appreciation for Malaysian history, but it’s okay for seeing several major sites around the city.Written 12 October 2024
- kiwi3350 contributionsA great day outThank you to our Tour Pilot Gunalan. We had a very enjoyable day and Gunalan was just great. The car was very comfortable and Gunalan told us a lot about Kuala Lumpur and the Genting Highlands. It was a great day. The cable car ride to the highlands was fantastic and if you like shopping, the outlet stores are amazing, and there were a lot of them! Thank you again Gunalan. 10 out of 10 for us.Written 12 October 2024

Incredible knowledge of the history, religion and culture of Malaysia, Gunalan knew everything and was super insightful and helpful. As a solo traveller I got lucky and had my own tour as no one else booked and meant I got to ask lots of questions and take my time around the key sites. What an incredible city!Written 11 October 2024

- Zabe280 contributionsA.M.A.Z.I.N.GWow, wow and wow! This is our first visit to KL and it didn’t disappoint. We had the pleasure of meeting pilot Prabaz who is very personable, knowledgeable, courteous and has a great sense of humour! And a lot of patience! Prabaz took us to the Batu Caves, Chinese temple, Batik making workshop, Little India, Independence Square, China Town, the National Mosque and a stop at the chocolate factory. We packed a lot into four hours but was an amazing experience. Our daughter was delighted when Prabaz fed the monkeys some nuts at Batu Caves! A visit to the batik store is a must, the artists are extremely talented. We would thoroughly recommend Prabaz. Thank you, thank you, thank you.Written 11 October 2024

The driver/guide Ravikumar did not really know much about the sites. He also kept asking how much I paid for this tour, how much I paid for others I had booked with other companies. It was strange because he kept asking about money. During a stop, he met some of his friends and suddenly overheard them speaking inappropriately. Lastly, he boasted about how he had showed us beyond the itinerary because of a stop at a local food store. He wasn't clear about the trip overall. 3 stars because he drove, and we got to see the sights.

Positive: It was nice to see the various local sites in the morning hours when traffic is lighter and the temperature is still pleasant. Negative: We feel our booking is more for a driver service rather than a guide. We were dropped off at each location to explore on our own. Our driver Ravi said we should do a google search to get info on the Batu Caves. If you have an itinerary in mind, consider booking a private car for the half day instead and it would probably work out to be much cheaper.

It was so so, the driver had no energy or wanted to explain more about the sites, very basic information. He was complaining with the traffic and saying he was gonna keep it short because we were running out of time. He was nice to me, but I wouldn’t buy another tour with him again. Didn’t worth the price I paid for what I got.

This title is false. This is NOT a tour. I repeat. This is not a tour. It is a private driver to drive you to all of these highlights, does not even include water, and is so upcharged it is quite frankly ridiculous. I recommend anyone going to these sites to use grab instead and pay $15 instead of $70. The driver did not know a lot about these sites, certainly not more than the average grab driver. The title of this is quite frankly deceitful and seems to be ripping people off of their money. Not sure why it has rave reviews. I gave it two stars because the driver was friendly and nice, but save yourself the money and just use grab.

We were looking for a shorter city tour and thought it would be cool to see the Batu Caves, so we booked a half day private tour. Our driver and guide, Guna, was excellent and told us about the history of each location and then let us explore on our own. We ended up seeing not only the Batu Caves and Hindu shrine, but also the Batik Centre for silk goods, National Mosque, and Thean Hou Temple. He also offered to take us to the Central Market and Chinatown, but we declined as we had already been. All in all it was a wonderful experience and a good way to experience KL in an afternoon.

It was a great tour! There was no rush, we had plenty of time to visit the sights. It was also good way to get an overview of Kuala Lumpur.
Siva is a really good driver and guide, it was really nice driving with him!
I would recommend to do the tour in the morning as the crowds at Batu Caves build up quickly throughout the day.

We had a wonderful half day private tour with Ayyanar of Travel Local Malaysia. We first visited the Batu Caves then a Batik Factory before being taken to the airport for our departure.
We were picked up at our hotel and driven to the Batu Caves. Along the way Ayyanar pointed out interesting sights and gave us an overview of what to expect at the Batu Caves.
We were fortunate to arrive a little after 8 in the morning before the crowds arrived. It was raining hard as we approached the Batu Caves sign. Ayyanar provided us with an umbrella, gave us an overview, and allowed us to enjoy the area on our own. It happened to be a public holiday so families began to arrive with offerings. The monkeys were stealth and grabbed plastic bags carried by visitors and fruits left at the altar.
Following our Batu Cave visit we went to a Batik Factory. We watched a Batik artist at work, heard about the Batik process, and then had the opportunity to shop. Again Ayyanar waited patiently. The Batik items were reasonably priced and the wide variety of colors, block print and hand done patterns allowed us to find just the right gift items.
At the end of our tour Ayyanar drove us to the airport.

Half day private tour to the Batu Caves is highly recommended. Our guide Prabaz was excellent - very attentive to our needs and flexible to change the itinerary for us. He cared about our experience, provided lots of local insight and added in lots of additional stops along the way. We saw so much, thank you! If you only have short time in KL then this is the trip to book.

We traveled as an extended family and the tour was excellent. Hazlin was an exceptional guide and was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She patiently explained things to the children who loved it. We would recommend the 9am start as the traffic builds up by noon. Our driver was very professional and we always felt safe. Highly recommended.

This was a three-hour trip (two-way) if you’re staying within Kuala Lumpur City, Malaysia. It is accessible by train or via Grab (go there with at least three more persons to share the transpo bill) if you are on a budget like me. Be on your comfortable clothes and shoes. Check the weather before going there because the stairs going up may be too slippery/risky when it is raining. Don’t be too surprise if monkeys in the vicinity will get your bottled water on your way up/down.

What vehicle is used for the tours? Is it a large bus, mini van, car? and How many people are in the tour?
Written 12 December 2022
Our driver had a mid size crossover that could seat up to 4 people. Since this is a private tour, our party of 2 were the only group for this excursion. I have heard of smaller sedans being used for this tour, so best if your coordinate with the company in advance on vehicle choice.

We are only on a long stop over and would like to be collected from the airport at 9am then dropped at the Petronas towers so we can visit the sky deck then go back to the airport for 4-5pm. Is this possible? Many Thanks
